Hud 116: Why were there no people of virtue in the centuries before you who would prevent (people) from mischief? But a small number from those who attained salvation are the exception (they have fulfilled their obligation). The oppressors however followed the comfort that has been given to them. And they were sinful.

The misinterpretation
If only there were virtuous people on earth in the centuries before you to prevent (people) from mischief! Except for a few of them whom We saved (they did their duty). The oppressors, on the other hand, pursued the welfare granted to them. They were already sinners.
The right translation
Why were there no people of virtue in the centuries before you who would prevent (people) from mischief? But a small number from those who attained salvation are the exception (they have fulfilled their obligation). The oppressors however followed the comfort that has been given to them. And they were sinful.
Explanation
This is the wrong place in this verse: Except a few of them whom We deliver. The truth is: Except for a few of them who are the righteous.
They have misunderstood these verses because they always attribute them to the will of our Lord. Since people who have made a covenant with Allah (swt), those who dictate their own destiny to themselves, will be held accountable for their actual deeds, our Lord neither leads anyone away from the right path nor guides anyone to the right path. He only shows the right paths. If He guides one group of people and leads them to salvation, did He create another group for hell? Then hasha! Is Allah lying? He says that My mercy has exceeded My wrath. In another verse, He says, "I am Tawwab, the One who accepts repentance. In this case, our Lord does not discriminate between human beings. All human beings are servants of our Lord. People have written their own desires and wishes as their destiny with their own will. No one can discriminate between people by using the will of Allah when they open the verses of the Qur'an.
And no one can save anyone else. Because people have made a covenant with our Lord and He has written their desires and wishes as their destiny. No human being can change the destiny of any human being. But he does emri bil maruf, that is, he speaks the truth.
What is said in the video
We have come to verse 116 of Surah Hud.
If only, in the centuries before you, there had been on earth, to keep people from corruption, virtuous persons, it says. What does it say? If only, in the centuries before you, there had been on earth, to keep people from corruption, virtuous persons. But of them, those whom We brought to salvation. Here is a wrongly rendered word. What does it say? But of them, those whom We brought to salvation. Whereas, those who attained salvation, those who know Allah, are the exception. A few of them are excepted. These did their duty, while the wrongdoers pursued the luxury given to them. They were sinners anyway, it says.
Now let me read you the correct version of that wrong place here. If only, in the centuries before you, there had been on earth, to keep people from corruption, virtuous persons, it says. Correct. Now people, sir, from corruption, if only virtuous persons would warn them; we see that all people, very many people are after this corruption. That is, Allah Almighty, to Adam and our mother Eve, from Paradise, says this about Satan. Satan, you, He says, your father Adam, He says, just as he stripped your mother Eve, beware lest he make you stark naked, He says. Well, today people are stripped, stark naked.
Well, shouldn't virtuous people stand up against them? Why don't they? Why don't they? We call out to people as far as our tongue allows. O people, we say.
Only, this realm your eyes see is not your eternal home, we say. Because the human being has no existence of his own. There is a Being who created you. There is One who exists. There is a Lord. There is a God. He did not send you into the world to indulge in pleasure. He sent you to make you a witness over yourself. He could also have left you subject to a punishment from the start. But so that you could in no way, sir, (?) to Him, you to this world He sent to prove what kind of person you are. If, for the few hours of life in this world, you leave yourself subject to an eternal punishment, an eternal punishment: here, if a tiny thorn pricks your hand, you can't bear the pain; how will you endure the punishment there?
You make your eternal life a dungeon, going outside Allah's command, for a few hours of your pleasure in the world, you turn your eternal life into a dungeon. Isn't it a pity for you?
Allah created the human being honourable. Is it fitting for a human to (?) and trample his honour, sir, to let it be trampled? A human being has, come on, some dignity. Allah created the human being honourable above the worlds. In this age, why do you not fit the purpose for which Allah created you honourable, and instead turn your back on Allah and, as Satan's laughingstock, stark naked in public, disgrace yourself, and this, the so-called social media, those people too beat the drum for them and in this way, stark naked, encourage them to strip. Now the media called social media, it too, to satisfy its own nafs, saying 'a feast for my eyes', strips women stark naked, and exhibits people that way to satisfy its carnal desires, casting Allah behind its back, with words of this kind, sinful doesn't it become?
Don't they transgress Allah's limits? Whoever (?) them, he too is like them: doesn't he fall under the word of that verse? So those who follow the people called stars on social media, who are in love with Hell, are people in the same state as them.
Allah Almighty's commands are clear.
Whoever strips, sir, goes about stark naked, steps outside Allah's command, then Allah Almighty will surely give him his punishment. What does Allah Almighty say in a verse? Although We destroyed those peoples, He says, later the generation We sent, though little time had passed since the people, since the destroyed people, though little time had passed, how they came to resemble their forefathers, He says. How, dancing stark naked, like the people who were slave traders (?) women naked and sold them in slave markets, people have done away with the slave traders and exhibit and sell themselves.
Yes. I don't deny this; it is a plainly visible event. But there is a change of name. What is the change of name? Allah Almighty says this in a verse: the adulterous woman, the adulterous man too wants to marry. And the adulterous man wants to marry the adulterous woman, He says. Well, there you go. Am I the one saying it now? So they commit adultery, stark naked with each other. Boy with boy. They marry (?). They change themselves. They swap partners. In this case, the more they strip, the more they become stars. Yet they don't say: the more they strip, the more sinful they become. Yes, we are Muslims. If you are a Muslim, if in you there is the faith of one who has said the shahada, you must abide by what Allah says; is necessary. If not, if after saying the testimony of faith you have cast it behind you, you are a hypocrite; to carry out Allah's commands and keep the word, you say 'I am a Muslim', yet you are a person who displays all the traits Allah does not want. Yes.
What do you say here: in the centuries before you, if only there had been on earth virtuous persons to keep people from corruption; but of them, a few whom We brought to salvation; this place is wrong, this place is wrong. A few are excepted; these did their duty, while the wrongdoers pursued the luxury given to them; they were sinners anyway, it says. So now we read the correct one: If only, in the centuries before you, there had been on earth, to keep people from corruption, virtuous persons, it says. These are the ones Allah Almighty calls virtuous persons. Those who explain Allah's commands to people, who explain Allah's verses to people, such people He calls virtuous people.
So, being virtuous, they are righteous servants, it says. Those who please our Lord, sir, those people that our Lord, those people He has placed among the people He will receive with a smiling face, He calls virtuous people, it says. Yes. But of those who attained salvation, a few are excepted. These did their duty. While the wrongdoers pursued the luxury given to them. They were sinners anyway, they were sinners. Since they had given their covenants that way anyway. They will act that way, and after they have proven in the world, within a short time, what kind of people they are, after God's decree has come to pass, they will be the inhabitants of the eternal abode of Hell.
God willing, our wish for these people is that they see the truth, turn to the truth and save themselves from the punishment, and give up this filth and stop being a bad example to people. Yes.
