The misinterpretation

And so We gave Joseph the authority within the country to act there as he pleased. We bestow our mercy on whomever we wish. And We do not waste the reward of the good-doers.

The right translation

And thus, We gave Joseph permission to act as he desired there. We give to those Our mercy who desire it from Us. And We do not make the reward of the muhsin go in vain.

Explanation

This is where this verse goes wrong: We bestow Our mercy on whom We will. The truth is: We send Our mercy to whomsoever We will.

Allah (swt) made a covenant with mankind at Kalu Bela in the address Elestu bi Rabbikum. He says that whoever among mankind asks for mercy from our Lord, we will grant mercy from our Lord to the one who asks for it within his destiny. This is the truth of the verse.

What is said in the video

We are continuing our broadcast from the phone again.

And thus, so that he could act there as he wished, We gave Joseph authority in the land. We bring Our mercy to whom We will, to whom We will. And We do not let the reward of those who do good go to waste, it says. Now here, too, there are contradictory words. Where is the contradiction here? We bring Our mercy to whom We will, it says. Now Allah Almighty is making a distinction between people. To whom He wills, sir, He brings His mercy. And We do not let the reward of those who do good go to waste, it says. This time, on the other hand, it turns out that Allah Almighty judges people by their good conduct.

The end is right. But when the other part means 'whom He wills', it also contradicts this ending. And He does not let the reward of those who do good go to waste. That is, through a person knowing Allah Almighty and obeying Him of his own will, Allah Almighty does not let his reward go to waste. But what does it say above? We place Our mercy on whom We will, it says. These are words that (?) fit together. Sir, actually it goes like this: And thus We gave Joseph, to act there as he wished, authority in the land. We gave him authority within the land. We bring Our mercy to whoever wishes it from Us.

Of course. If you say 'Allah', Allah too says (?). And you will say: may Allah guide you. May He reward you. And We do not let the reward of those who do good go to waste, it says. We do not let it go to waste. Yes.

Let's see.
