Ar-Ra'd 33: The One who watches over and protects what everyone earns (is not the same as the one who cannot do this). They have associated partners with Allah. Say; “Name them. Or are you proclaiming something that Allah cannot know about on earth? Or are you talking in vain?” Verily, the conspiracies of the deniers have appeared attractive to them and they have gone astray. For those who go astray from Allah, there is no one who can guide them to the right path.

The misinterpretation

Those who watch and protect what everyone earns (like those who never do this?) They ascribed partners to Allah. Say; Name them (what they are). Or are you informing Allah of something on earth that He does not know? Or are you talking nonsense? Indeed, to those who disbelieve, their deceptions have been adorned, and they have been hindered from the right path. Whoever Allah misleads, there is no one to guide him to the straight path.

The right translation

The One who watches over and protects what everyone earns (is not the same as the one who cannot do this).

What is said in the video

Surah Ar-Ra'd: in verse 33, a wrongly interpreted verse. Is He who watches over and preserves what everyone earns ever like one who does not do so? Look how beautifully it says it, look how beautiful. Is He who watches over and preserves what everyone earns, who gives them their due rightfully, ever like one who does not do so? They ascribe partners to Allah. Since no one other than Allah would ever do such a thing, can partners ever be ascribed to Him, it says. What a beautiful example Allah Almighty gives. I read the wrong one, but these parts are right.

Say: Name them. What are they? Or are you informing Allah of something on earth He would not know? Or are you speaking idle words? Rather, their schemes were made to look attractive to those who disbelieve. Now there is a mistake here. Their schemes, it says, were made to look attractive. Allah Almighty makes nothing, no evil, look attractive to man. He does not make it look attractive, Allah protect us. Sir, and they were held back from the right path. Whomever Allah leads astray, there is no one to guide him to the right path, it says. Constantly here Allah Almighty is being given attributes. They constantly ascribe attributes to Allah Almighty.

The correct version is this. Now I am reading the correct version. Is He who watches over and preserves what everyone earns ever like one who does not do so? They ascribed partners to Allah. Say: Name them. What are they? Or are you informing Allah of something on earth He would not know? Or are you speaking idle words? Rather, to those who disbelieve, their schemes seemed attractive. To those who disbelieve. The schemes they made seemed attractive to themselves. They strayed from the right path, went astray. Whoever strays from Allah, there is no one to guide him to the right path, it says. It is always through the deeds a person has done within his own will that he will receive reward and sin. No one will be able to blame Allah.

Why do you blame Allah here? Why — because he schemed, sir, because he did evil — did Allah Almighty lead him astray? Well, if, because people did (?) or did evil, Allah too had led them astray, you would not find an upright person walking on earth. What are you saying, Hodja? Yes, I am telling the truth. You would not find an upright person walking on earth. Why? We created man, it says, deficient in intellect — deficient. They will make mistakes, and when he turns back from that mistake, understands his mistake and turns to Me, I will forgive, He says. Well, is there anyone who does not make mistakes?

Well, if my mistake seemed attractive to me, and I repented, turned to Allah, Allah Almighty will accept the repentance. Because I turned to Allah. Well, if because of my mistake it seemed attractive — my mistake — and Allah Almighty, because of this mistake of mine, what does He say? We lead them astray. Sir, rather, to those who disbelieve their schemes seemed attractive, and they were held back from the right path. Whomever Allah leads astray, there is no one to guide him to the right path, it says. Look, Allah supposedly leads man astray too. Well, I have gone astray. I have strayed from the right path.

Isn't scheming going astray? Isn't stealing going astray? Isn't committing adultery going astray? Sir, isn't swindling people going astray? Those who commit (?) — isn't that going astray? The one who drinks alcohol — isn't that going astray? So isn't this evil going astray? Well, if he went astray, turned back from the bad path, repented to Allah Almighty, will Allah Almighty not accept his repentance? And is there no one to bring him to an even better path? Even the Prophet (peace be upon him), who came as a mercy to the worlds, is deficient and fallible before Allah Almighty. Complete to the worlds, complete to the worlds, deficient and fallible to Allah Almighty.

For what does He say? I have forgiven all your past and future sins, He says. Past, future, and all future ones too I have forgiven. Now here: Ve mâ erselnâke illâ rahmeten lil-âlemîn. The Prophet (peace be upon him), whom He sent as a mercy to the worlds, they describe, sir, with a slip, as a slip — that to the blind man, to Ibn Maktum, to the blind Ibn Maktum, he turned his back and frowned. May Allah reform you. While the Prophet (peace be upon him) was explaining to the Meccan polytheists, but Abu Maktum comes and says: what is the Prophet telling the Meccan polytheists? They look and see that this is a poor, let me tell you, blind man, and frowning turn away. Allah Almighty is addressing them.

Them, not the Prophet. By attributing this to the Prophet, they try to satisfy their egos. Because they have sunk into the swamp of sin and (?) Satan shows them a fine path and makes them slander the Prophet. Yes. Where did you hide Ve mâ erselnâke illâ rahmeten lil-âlemîn? A mercy to the worlds. I raised you, I raised you well, He says. My Lord raised me, He raised me well, they said. Sir, would a prophet sent to people as an example in morals do such a thing?

Yes.

May Allah reform them. We explain so much. But Satan has deceived them very well. He has got into their brains. Their brains have now gone numb.
