Allah has created you; then Allah will deal you death. Some of you will live a pitiful period in which they will come to know nothing after they were knowledgeable. Verily, Allah is Aleem (All-knowing) and Qadeer (All-Powerful).
Tafsir
Allah (swt) created our souls in the realm of Lahut, so in that sense Allah (swt) created you. Allah (swt) is referring to the creation of human beings before they took on the guise of a body, before they came to this world. That is why Allah says that He created you.
(Then He will make you pass away). With this Ayat-i Kerime, he has written our destinies for each of us in proportion to the covenant we have made with Allah (swt). He will make us live the life given to us within our destinies in the life of this world, and then he will make us pass away.
(Some of you will be made to live an evil age of life, so that they may become ignorant, whereas before they were knowledgeable). The meaning of "while they were knowledgeable" is that Allah (swt) introduced His Essence to human beings by saying, "I am your Lord", by being addressed by Allah (kalu bela). In this respect, since all human beings know that they have been created by one God, He makes His Word known to them while He was already knowledgeable. Continuing with the verse; (some of you will be given an evil age of life so that they will not know anything). Although Allah made Himself known to the people in the Kalu Bela, they betrayed Him and did not want to recognize Him. So Allah sent man to the realm of property, where His Essence is invisible, so that he would not know anything. Allah (swt) created our souls and after making a covenant with them, He lifted them to the world of Berzah, the waiting place of our souls. When the time comes for the soul to come to the worldly realm, He brings it to the realm of Jabbarrut, that is, to a place called the realm of nearness, and there He covers it with the light of Jabbarrut, that is, He veils it. More precisely, he locks that part of it like giving a password to a computer program so that it will forget that realm and will not know the events. Then he sends him to the angelic realm. There, too, he covers it with a disguise of angelic light. There, too, a part of the program is closed with a password. Then man comes to the realm of property without remembering anything from the hereafter. Then man begins to live his life in this world. When he says that some of you will live the worst age of your life, he means Muslims; the life of the world according to the hereafter is the worst age of life for a Muslim compared to heaven. There is a distinction here. When He says, "Some people will be given the worst age of their lives," He is making a distinction between the people of faith and the people of kufr.
The life of a Muslim in this world is the worst life of a believer in comparison to Paradise. Since the life of a disbeliever in this world is his paradise in the face of the torment and pain he will suffer in the Hereafter, Allah (swt) makes a distinction here, and by saying that the life of some people is the worst age of their life, He means the people of faith, and He declares that the life of this world is the worst life of the people of faith.
(Allah is knowledgeable and powerful). Allah is All-knowing because He knows His creatures best and He creates these events with His knowledge. He kills His creatures and resurrects them. It is not difficult for Allah to do this. In this respect, Allah is mighty. He is the one who fulfills his will.
What is said in the video
Surah An-Nahl, verse 70 has also been translated wrongly: “You were created by Allah” – right, there is no god but Allah who could create us – “then He will cause you to die” – right. I'm reading the wrong one, but these parts are right. “So that, after having knowledge, they come to know nothing, some of you will be made to live a wretched age of life.
Surely Allah is All-Knowing, All-Powerful.” Where is the mistake here?
Let me read it again, look. In saying “will be made to live a wretched life”, “will be made to live”, Hodja. In saying “will be made to live a wretched life”. He will make them live it – but why would He make them live it? Open this one too, let's see. Okay. You found the place. Look, what does it say? “Allah created you. Then He will cause you to die.” Right. “So that, after having knowledge, they come to know nothing, some of us, some of you will be made to live a wretched age of life. Surely Allah is All-Knowing, All-Powerful.”
Yes.
Now look. I'm reading you the correct one now. (?) “Allah created you.” This part is right. “Then He will cause you to die.” This part is right too. “According to the covenant they gave, after having knowledge” – not all of them, but this. Look. This now takes in everyone in general. “After having knowledge, they will come to know nothing; He will make some of you live a wretched age of life.”
Now pay attention to the part above. “So that, after having knowledge, they come to know nothing, He will make some of you live a wretched age of life.” Some of you. Here we now make an explanation. What do we say? According to the covenant they gave. Prophet Noah, peace be upon him, lives 1200 years. He did not become ignorant. Prophet Solomon lives 500 years. He did not become ignorant. Prophet Zechariah, peace be upon him, was writing books at a hundred. He did not become ignorant.
Yes. So what do we say in this case? According to the covenant they gave. Everyone will live out their own covenant. “After having knowledge, they will come to know nothing; He will make some of you live a wretched age of life.” Some of you, yes. What does it say here? “He will make some of you live a wretched age of life.”
Actually not “He will make them live” but “they will live”. We read that part wrongly too. “They will live a wretched age of life.” Here too it says “He will make them live”. There is also a difference of wording between the two. “Surely Allah is All-Knowing, All-Powerful.” Allah Almighty is of course All-Knowing. What does He say? There is not a single creature to come until the Day of Judgement whose doings We would not know. Moreover, until the Day of Judgement, He says. Not a leaf stirs without My knowledge, He says. Not a leaf stirs without Our knowledge. Yes.
