The misinterpretation
Say; The Holy Spirit (Gabriel) brought it down from the Lord in truth, in order to make the believers persevere, to guide the Muslims to the straight path, and to give them good news.
The right translation
Say; “The Rooh al Quds (Holy Spirit – Allah) – has sent it down with truth and justice, so that, they shall be guided to the right path and become Muslims, and receive the glad tidings!”
Explanation
They have misunderstood this whole verse. Gabriel has been taken for the Holy Spirit here. Gabriel is not the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is our Lord. Because Gabriel was created from light. Those who open the Verses without knowing their meanings have turned the Verses into superstitions.
Will is two. 1- The universal will 2- The limited will. The universal will is our Lord, the Holy Spirit. And the limited will is in human beings. Because humans have a soul as a particle of our Lord. Our Lord, who is the universal will, sent down the Holy Qur'an in the Levh-i Mahfuz on the 27th night of Ramadan to the place called Qadr on Sidre-i Munteha. Gabriel, on a mission, takes from the place called Qadr the verses that he is to recite to the Prophet (pbuh) at the command of our Lord. He used to recite it to the Prophet (SAW).
Also, this is where it is wrong. They say: To guide Muslims to the right path. The truth is: "The Qur'an has not come to Muslims but to all the worlds. He says, "The Lord, the Holy Spirit, has sent down from Himself the truth, that they may become Muslims and be given glad tidings of the right path."
What is said in the video
Verse one hundred and two has been translated wrongly. “Say,” it says, “the Holy Spirit”, in brackets, Gabriel, now how many times have we said it? They say the Spirit is Gabriel. They say the Spirit is the Quran. They say the Spirit is Jesus. They say it. They attribute it to many things. Well then, what was Gabriel created from? Say to him: where was Gabriel created from? From light, he'll say. He'll say, that is, he'll say this. From light. Well then, is there an understanding of the spirit?
Well, Allah Almighty in His verse: they ask you about the spirits. Of it you have been given only a little knowledge.
Well, if the spirit is something else, they call the Quran the spirit. If the Spirit is the Quran, the owner of the Quran is the Spirit. The Spirit who speaks the Quran.
What does He say? We – when We breathed Our spirit into Adam, He says. Look: when We have breathed into him of Our spirit, prostrate. So what is the spirit, then? Küllü ruh – Allah Almighty. So it is not Gabriel. What does it say? “Say: the Holy Spirit”, Gabriel, it says, “to give steadfastness to those who believe.” Gabriel was supposedly giving this steadfastness. To give steadfastness. “To guide the Muslims to the right path.”
Gabriel's job. Let's guide them to the right path. “And to give them good news, sent it down from your Lord as the truth.” Look, now the matter has changed. First we'll mention Gabriel. And then, what did He send down from your Lord? Let me read it again. The words don't fit together. Look now. “Say: the Holy Spirit, Gabriel, to give steadfastness to those who believe, to guide the Muslims to the right path and to give them good news, sent it down from your Lord as the truth.” Well, do you see Gabriel here? As the truth – where is Gabriel? This time it's the Quran that has come down. Did Gabriel bring the Quran?
Here they put Gabriel in Allah's place. Whereas look: say, it – the Quran – so that they become Muslims and find the right path, to give them good news, the Holy Spirit, your Lord, sent down from His own presence as the truth. There is no Gabriel or anything of the sort here.
Allah Almighty first created the Prophet (peace be upon him) from His light – He created him. From His light. From his light He created the heavens and the earth and what is between them. Then He gave him of His spirit. From His spirit He created the spirits of the prophets. It's not me saying it, mind. These are verses, look. Now I'll prove it.
When He created the spirits of the prophets, Allah Almighty said: I will send you to your peoples as an elder, a messenger, a father. Do you accept this? He says. Yes, they say. And I too am among the witnesses with you, He says. What did He say? I too am among the witnesses with you. So, He who with a part of the spirit, with its part, our master the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, created our master, and with his part created the spirits of the prophets and with the spirits of the prophets created the spirits of their peoples – Allah created man honoured above the worlds. Now, if we say We created man honoured above the worlds, the angels are also included in the worlds.
Though Gabriel too is an angel, they have Him both create man above the angels and create the angel above man, as his teacher. Look at the words. I mean, it's pure nonsense. Truly, it's pure nonsense. If I don't open these up like this, nobody understands. They pass by thinking, what's in it. But when it's opened up like this, one grasps it very well here. How wrongly it was translated and how far these people are from the knowledge of the Quran.
We wanted the Diyanet to write a piece, write a book, the Diyanet can put its own name on it again, the Diyanet can put its own name on it. I don't want a name. But let it consult us too. Because Allah Almighty does not give this knowledge to everyone. Knowledge. What does He say? The passing of your scholars to the Hereafter is like the sun going and darkness coming. Who is this scholar? Surely not a scholar who learned from Ahmet and Mehmet. Those who learn are known, those who did doctorates are known too. So the scholar is one kneaded with Allah's knowledge in the very nafs-i raziye. In Surah Al Imran, verse 7: those kneaded with Allah's knowledge, people taught by Allah Himself and sent as possessors of knowledge to guide people – that is the person.
So what, if you humble your ego and benefit from this knowledge, so what? Will you die? On the contrary, you will rise. You will rise.
By telling people the truth, you give that position its due.
You can still say: I explained it. Agreed. I don't want anything from you. Take me, take the treasure. Mine too, but tell the people.
Yes. We are not after fame and glory. And anyway, Allah does not give this knowledge to one who is after fame and glory. We want to make Allah's command heard by people. Yes.
Yes.
