Al-Isra 60: (Remember) when your Lord revealed to you; “Your Lord has encircled mankind!” We projected (shown) those visions for you and the tree that was damned; To make people witnesses (against themselves). We frighten them but this only makes them anything but go more astray.

The misinterpretation

How about you; We said that your Lord has surrounded people. We created those images that We showed you and the tree cursed in the Quran only to test people. We frighten them, but it will bring them nothing but great anger.

The right translation

(Remember) when your Lord revealed to you; “Your Lord has encircled mankind!” We projected (shown) those visions for you and the tree that was damned; To make people witnesses (against themselves). We frighten them but this only makes them anything but go more astray.

Explanation

This is where this verse is wrong: We brought forth the cursed tree in the Qur'an only to test mankind: The tree that is cursed in the Qur'an, We brought it into existence only to make people witness (to themselves what kind of people they are).

Allah does not need to test anyone. Because our Lord made a covenant with human beings in the Elestu bi Rabbikum address and wrote their desires and wishes as their destiny. This is contrary to the verse that there is not a single living creature that will come until the Day of Resurrection so that we do not know what it will do. The verses confirm each other. At the same time, our Lord would be unaware of what people will do in the future, and Allah forbid, we would be disbelieving by attributing imperfect shortcomings to our Lord. Therefore, the correct opening of the verse is: The tree that is cursed in the Qur'an, We brought it into existence only to make people witness (to themselves what kind of people they are).

What is said in the video

Let's close our lesson here. "Remember when We told you: your Lord has encompassed people all around. The visions We showed you and the tree cursed in the Quran We brought about only to test people." We brought them about to test people. Allah doesn't know, so He tested people here.

"We frighten them, but it brings them nothing but great transgression." Now here, the correct version: "Remember when We told you: your Lord has encompassed people all around." People. Only, when it says people here, since people were created honoured above the worlds anyway, His encompassing people means encompassing the worlds anyway. "We had encompassed. The visions We showed you and the tree cursed in the Quran We brought about only to make people, as to what kind of people they are, witnesses against themselves," it says.

Yes. "We frighten them, but it brings them nothing but great transgression," it says.
