The right translation
When a calamity comes upon you in the ocean, all the things you pray to other than Allah vanish away. When Allah saves you and brings you to the land, you go back (to your earlier ways praying to idols). Those are the people who are ungrateful.
Explanation
This is where this verse is wrong: Mankind is very ungrateful. Verily: (Such) people are very ungrateful.
Our Lord created human beings as the equal of creation. That is, He created them as the most honorable of all creation. He also said: "Lekad haleknal insane fi ahseni calendar, I have created man in the most beautiful form". Despite this, if it is said that "mankind is very ungrateful" as it is said in the verse that is misinterpreted, did He create all the people He created in such an honorable and beautiful form as ungrateful? It would mean that He could never create human beings with the right morals, which is an adjective of our Lord. Our Lord is exempt from imperfect attributes. Our Lord has given a part of His soul to human beings. He has left human beings free in their own will. In this case, He made a covenant with people at Kalu Bela. Everyone has dictated his own destiny according to what he has asked from our Lord. People are divided into three classes. Rightists, leftists and mukarrebun. In this case, since people are responsible for what they do of their own will, there are good and bad among them. You cannot put all these people in the bad category. No one can blame our Lord and say that mankind is very ungrateful. The correct opening of this verse is: "(Such) people are very ungrateful." Otherwise, not all people are ungrateful. Among human beings there are prophets, saints, scholars and martyrs.
What is said in the video
One from the lesson, one from you. Now what does it say? Verse 67 of Surah Al-Isra. "When a calamity befalls you at sea, all those you implore besides Him vanish. When He saves you and brings you to land, you return to your old state again. Mankind is very ungrateful," it says. Now, it's right up to the last sentence.
If it says mankind is very ungrateful, here it covers all people. Mankind is very ungrateful. Then it means Allah Almighty couldn't even create a proper person who wouldn't be ungrateful. Yes, there is ingratitude, but to say it is very ungrateful... Mankind is very ungrateful. Whereas there are also people who submit to Allah. Now here, this last sentence spoils it. Whereas what is the correct version? Let's read the correct one to the end. "When a calamity befalls you at sea, all those you implore besides Him vanish. When He saves you and brings you to land," I mean, when it says He, the very being of Allah Almighty. "When He saves you and brings you to land, when you return to your old state again, such people are very ungrateful." Such people.
I mean, people who implored Allah, sir, and once on land turn their backs on Allah, such people are very ungrateful. Otherwise, most people, all of them, are not ungrateful like that. Here, Allah Almighty would be ascribed such an attribute, and if most people too are ungrateful, that is, it says most people are ungrateful. Mankind is very ungrateful. It doesn't say most of mankind. Mankind is very ungrateful. If he is very ungrateful, if Allah created him like that, what can man do? But if, by his own initiative, by the whims of his nafs, by his wishes and desires, by the deeds he does, a person distances himself from Allah, other people, him you can't compare. Remember, it says, are those who know and those who don't equal, here too in the verse. So what is the one who knows?
I implored Allah Almighty. My Lord accepted our prayer. Since our life hadn't ended yet, He brought us (?) to land. Praise and glory be to Allah Almighty, he will say. And what does the other say? He forgets, forgets the prayer he made, and moves on. Now, can this one and that one be equal? Well, did Allah Almighty now create all people ungrateful? Yes.
