Al-Isra 70: Verily, We have dignified the sons of Adam and made them honorable. We have transported them (by different means) on the land and the sea. We have given them beautiful provisions. And some of those We have created (among humankind) are certainly superior to others.

The misinterpretation

Indeed, We have made the son of Adam the owner of glory and honor. We transported them (by various means of transport) on land and at sea. We gave them good sustenance. Again, We have made them superior to many of Our creations.

The right translation

Verily, We have dignified the sons of Adam and made them honorable. We have transported them (by different means) on the land and the sea. We have given them beautiful provisions. And some of those We have created (among humankind) are certainly superior to others.

Explanation

This is where this verse also goes wrong: "We have indeed made him superior to many of Our creatures." The truth is: "Some of those We have created (of mankind) are indeed superior to many."

People who open the Verse of Allah (swt) in such a way are people who are not aware of the Verses of our Lord. When it is said in the verse that we have indeed made them superior to many of our creations, they say that there are more honorable and glorious beings than human beings that we have made them superior to many of our creations. However, in our Lord's verse, humans have been created honorable over the worlds. This is because humans have a soul as a part of our Lord. In this case, people are endowed with the attributes of essence.

The meaning of this verse is that most of the people are superior to one another in faith. The correct opening of the verse is as follows: "Again, some of them (of mankind) We have created are indeed superior to many."

What is said in the video

Did Allah Almighty now create all people ungrateful? Yes.

In verse 70 of Surah Al-Isra there is also a mistake. Here too let's learn where the mistake is. "We have truly made the children of Adam possessors of glory and honour." Look how nicely it puts it. We have made the children of Adam possessors of glory and honour. Why? Because He created them honoured above the worlds. Why? Because He gave a part of His spirit, that's why. He gave a part of His spirit. Yes. "We carried them on land and sea with various means of transport. We gave them fine, good provisions. And We truly made them superior to many of those We created," it says. What it says doesn't hold together.

Look what it says. "We have truly made the children of Adam possessors of glory and honour," it says. Sir, "We gave them good provisions. And We truly made them superior to many of those We created," it says. Now, if they are possessors of glory and honour, and it says We truly made them superior to many of those We created, then here there is a contradiction (?). What is this contradiction (?)? Mankind was created with glory and honour. That is, created honoured above the worlds. Well now, when it says here We made them superior to many of those We created, here it ends up raising mankind, the other creatures, above mankind.

"And We truly made them superior to many of those We created," it says. So it would have brought many of them down below His other creatures. Here the verses all contradicted each other. Whereas what does it say here? "We have truly made the children of Adam possessors of glory and honour. We carried them on land and sea with various means of transport. We gave them fine, good provisions. And some of the people We created are truly superior to many." Among people, though. We are superior to one another. Not superior to some of His creatures. When it says some of His creatures, it includes all of creation too.

It includes the (?) realm. That's what it says. I learned (?), what does it say? We gave them good provisions; again, of those We created, them many," it says. Here, when it says those We created: "and some of the people We created are truly superior to many," it says. Yes. You know, people's being superior to one another. Why? In the sight of Allah. Otherwise we were all created the same. We are superior in the sight of Allah. For example, prophets, although they are human like people, are superior to those who are not prophets. Sir, the one at nafs safiya, compared to those who have come up to nafs radiya, up to nafs mardiyya, is superior in degree.

Nafs mardiyya, sir, is above nafs radiya and the parts coming from below; it is above them. Sir, at nafs radiya, you know, in the state of ilm al-yaqin, one is superior to people above the other desires of the nafs. That is, superiority degree by degree. They are superior by the degrees of reforming their nafs. Otherwise people were not created superior to one another. Since a person had it written by his own wish, to his own desire, people approach Allah in such different degrees from one another, so some in their denial, some in their faith, some more faithful, some with even more faith; in this way degree by degree Allah Almighty gave them their character too, and when people came into the world, before Allah Almighty they are superior to one another in degree.

Yes.
