Al-Isra 97: Those who desire guidance from Allah, they are the ones who found the right path; and those who steer away from guidance (and continue on that path) cannot find Allah’s friendship. We will resurrect them, faces dragged on the ground, blind, deaf and mute, on the Day of Judgment! Their dwelling is the hell and when its fire slows down, We will increase the blaze.

The misinterpretation

Whoever Allah guides, it is he who finds the right way, and whom he keeps away from guidance, you will not find any friends for them other than Allah. On the Day of Resurrection, we will resurrect them face down, blind, dumb and deaf. Their destination and abode is Hell, where we increase its flame as its fire slows down.

The right translation

Those who desire guidance from Allah, they are the ones who found the right path; and those who steer away from guidance (and continue on that path) cannot find Allah’s friendship. We will resurrect them, faces dragged on the ground, blind, deaf and mute, on the Day of Judgment! Their dwelling is the hell and when its fire slows down, We will increase the blaze.

Explanation

The wrong place in this verse is this: 1- Whomever Allah guides, it is he who is guided, and whomever He keeps away from guidance, you will find for them no friends besides Allah. 2- And whomsoever Allah keeps away from guidance, you will not find for them any friends besides Allah. And the truth is: 1- Whoever seeks guidance from Allah, it is he who finds the right path, and whoever turns away from it (continues on that path), they will not find the friendship of Allah.

1- The misinterpretation of this verse is the words of people who are not aware of the 172nd verse of Sûra A'râf, according to their own minds. Allah (swt) does not guide anyone by His own will, nor does He keep anyone away from guidance. This is because our Lord gave man his soul and created him honorable over the worlds and made him a subject of His Glory. In this respect, He put the will of man in his own hands. He made a covenant with human beings at Kalu Bela. In this case, people's desires and wishes were written as their destiny. As the verses unfold, in no way can our Lord make our Lord's will to be exercised over people by removing their will from them. Also, no human being can change the destiny of human beings by removing the will of our Lord over human beings by the will of our Lord Himself.

2. The wrong opening: "You will not find for them friends besides Allah." Correct: "(If they continue on that path) they will not find friendship with Allah." Because the will is in the hands of man. If people turn away from the guidance by their own will and desire, they will not find the friendship of our Lord. Our Lord also addresses people in three ways in the Holy Quran.

1- The principles of the Qur'an are clear and certain. 2- In a figurative sense, 3- Some verses are mutashabiq. In other words, they are Muqaddda Verses. No meaning is given to them. Here the last sentence of this verse is correctly opened in the figurative sense. It is said as follows: "On the Day of Resurrection We will raise them up on their faces blind, dumb and deaf." Our Lord says in Verse 12 of Sajda Sûrah: (Those sinners will bow their heads before their Lord, Our Lord! We have seen, we have heard, now send us back (to the world) so that we may do good deeds, we have believed firmly). This means that in the Hereafter people will not be blind, dumb and deaf. In this world they are blind, deaf and dumb. That is: "Hatamallahu ala gulubihim wa ala sem ihim wa ala ebsarihim ijiswa waahum azabun azim," They are the people in the meaning of this verse. They look, but they have a veil over their eyes and do not see the truth. They hear, but they have plugs in their ears and do not want to hear. They do not want to recognize our Lord as the Creator. In this case, they have sealed their hearts and do not turn towards the truth.

What is said in the video

There is a mistake in the 97th verse.

Verse 97. 'Whomever Allah guides' — this is where they went astray. Allah does not hand guidance to anyone. Allah gives guidance to all people. Or rather, He invites all people to guidance. He invites all people to guidance. Whoever takes from Allah's guidance takes it; whoever does not, stays astray. Yes. 'Whomever Allah guides, he is the one who finds the right path.' 'And whomever He keeps away from guidance' — look, they always blame Allah. Yet now, did Allah Almighty not send this Holy Quran to the worlds? Yes. Look. Allah Almighty sent this Holy Quran to the worlds. To the worlds. Now, since it came here to the worlds, for this — 'whomever He keeps away from guidance, you will not find for them friends besides Allah,' it says. In this case, are they ascribing this to Allah or not?

A person with reason would not write it this way. 'On the Day of Resurrection We will gather them on their faces, blind, dumb and deaf,' it says. Here, on the Day of Resurrection they are not really blind. Nor are they really dumb. Nor are they really deaf. Here it is in a figurative sense. Whoever is blind here, it says, is blind in the Hereafter too. Here 'blind' does not mean the blind.

Those whose eyes are veiled, whose ears are stopped up, whose hearts are sealed — such people. Their eyes are blind, their ears deaf, and their hearts sealed. Here, if in this world they are blind and deaf and dumb, dumb, then in the Hereafter likewise — this indicates that they will deny Allah. There too they are the same. Because they do not change. Their covenant is so. Their destiny is so. It is written so. It had its (?) written that way. Yes. 'Whomever Allah guides, he is the one who finds the right path.' 'And whomever He keeps away from guidance, there are no friends for them besides Allah,' 'on the Day of Resurrection, them blind, dumb and deaf,' 'on their faces We will gather,' it says.

'Their destination, their abode is Hell;' 'whenever its fire abates, We increase its flame,' it says. These parts are correct. Now we read you the correct version. 'Whoever asks Allah for guidance, he is the one who finds the right path.' Yes. You say: I am a seeker. What will you do? You say: Eşhedü en la ilahe illallah ve eşhedü enne Muhammeden abdühü ve resulühü. O Allah, there is none other than You. You say: Muhammad is Your servant and Your messenger. I am Your servant and I have believed in You. You are the absolute Owner and Ruler of these worlds. I have submitted to Your command. I will perform my prayers, keep my fast, go on my Hajj, give my zakat, you say. You recite the Kalima-i Shahadat, and this way you become a servant to Allah and of His Beloved's ummah. The other one denies.

Now, was there anyone who did not (?)? So why do you blame Allah here? You say: whomever He guides, whomever He leads away from guidance. Is it fitting for a person to describe Allah this way? Yes. 'Whoever asks Allah for guidance, he is the one who finds the right path.' 'And whoever moves away from guidance, if he continues on that path — if he too continues on that path, they will no longer find Allah's friendship.' 'On the Day of Resurrection We gather them on their faces, blind, dumb and deaf.' 'Their, their destination and abode is Hell; whenever its fire abates, We increase its flame,' it says.

Yes. I repeat verse 97. 'Whomever Allah guides, he is the one who finds the right path.' 'And whomever He leads away from guidance, you will not find for them friends besides Allah,' it says. And whomever? Sir, 'whomever He keeps away from guidance, for them you will not find friends besides Allah,' it says. 'On the Day, them blind, dumb and deaf, on their faces We gather,' it says. Yet here it is figurative; the blind here are not blind there. Here, sir, Allah Almighty is saying it figuratively. These whom He calls the blind are people. That is, they have had veils drawn over their eyes. Blind. They cannot see the truth.

They have stopped their ears. They do not want to hear the truth. And they do not want to speak the truth. These are the deaf. The dumb are also the blind. Sir, likewise, because their destiny was written that way, whatever they are in this world they are in the Hereafter too. And there, dumb, blind and deaf, they will be gathered. Yes. Now here we read the correct version. 'Whoever asks Allah for guidance, he is the one who finds the right path.' 'And whoever moves away from guidance, continues on that path, they will no longer find Allah's friendship.' Look, whoever continues on that path, Allah's friendship they will not find.

'On the Day of Resurrection, them, We gather them on their faces, blind, dumb and deaf.' 'Their destination and abode is Hell; whenever its fire begins to burn, We increase its flame,' it says. Yes. Likewise people there too will not change the covenants they gave Allah Almighty in the world. Even though there they say, 'Our Lord, we came, we saw — is there a return to the world once more?' When they say this, they are merely people who think they will deceive Allah, pitiful people. Sir, because their destinies are written that way, their characters are that way. Now an apple, to it, sir, if you gave it life, gave it reason, if an apple, sir, knew it would be cut, or knew it would be thrown into the fire and burn, and if you gave it a tongue too — what would it say about going into the fire?

You are a pear. Sir, would it say: I am a pear? That is, take (?) as a pear too. Sir, would it say 'I am a pear' or not? It would say 'I am a pear.' But who would believe that? It is an apple itself. It's already obvious. Since it won't change. So it is lying. Because it is an apple; its nature is apple, its taste is apple. In this case he thinks he will deceive Allah. That is: send me back to the world, and see how I will believe in You. 'Even if We sent you back to the world not once but several times, you would do the same thing again,' says Allah Almighty. Yes.
