The misinterpretation
We donated to them from Our mercy. We have bestowed upon them a just and high reputation.
The right translation
They attained Our mercy. They have reached a praised and elevated status.
Explanation
This Verse has been opened incorrectly from the beginning. The truth is as we have opened the Verse. They have received Our mercy. They have attained a just and high reputation. People attain Allah's mercy through the good deeds they do of their own volition. They themselves attain a just and high reputation. In the whole of this verse, our Lord has granted mercy to whomever He willed and bestowed a high fame on whomever He willed, so that, apart from the actual deeds of the people themselves, our Lord has treated them in a special way because He loves them and has glorified them. In this way they have prejudiced the justice of our Lord. However, every human being will be held accountable for what he has done. My Lord, without discriminating between His servants, says in His verse: "Today, what everyone has earned will be given to them in full as the reward of their own two hands, without any injustice being done to anyone" when people are taken to account in the Court-i Kübra.
The correct opening of the verse is as follows: "They have attained Our mercy. They have attained a just and high reputation." They have attained the mercy of our Lord by being close to Allah and according to the degree of their faith.
What is said in the video
I said. We're looking at Surah Maryam. Let's see where the mistakes are. In verse 50 of Surah Maryam. There is a mistake in the rendering. In its verse 50. We granted them a gift from Our mercy. We granted them a rightful and high renown, it says. Look. Now here: we granted them a gift from Our mercy. Yes. He granted a gift from His mercy. If He granted us too (?) a gift from His mercy, who knows how high I would go. Maybe, crawling like a worm, I would set out to give thanks (?) to Allah Almighty, I'd start. Yet these things go according to each person's own desire. What does it say? Let's read the wrong one once more.
We granted them a gift from Our mercy. We granted them a right and high renown, it says. Whereas they attained Our mercy. Through what? Through what they did. Through their actual deeds. Through their closeness to Allah. Sir, they attained Our mercy. They themselves reached a rightful and high renown. Allah Almighty created us. He made a covenant with us. This must be understood well. After making the covenant with us, our longing for Allah Almighty, our faith, our strength, our degree of faith, and even our denial of Allah, Allah protect us, our distancing from Allah: since He knows our feelings toward Him, all the secrets of our hearts, He gave us feelings accordingly, and accordingly wrote our scenario with these feelings.
He worked this written scenario in as destinies, and into our bodies or our souls these things, in accordance with our destiny, He worked our actions, and where, when, at what time, at what hour we will do what, Allah Almighty knows. Look what else He tells us? What you need, deep within your hearts (?), without your knowing, that is, those wishes and desires you don't know, We know them, He says. Now in this case, Allah Almighty, since He knows the feelings of the people He created toward His own Self, shaped their characters accordingly. Their characters. According to those characters, by their desires and wishes, people prove their degrees before Allah Almighty.
Yes.
They attained Our mercy, it says.
Rather than: we granted them, sir, a gift from Our mercy, as it says. We granted them a rightful and high renown, it says. Look, here they themselves contradict their own words. What does it say? We granted them a rightful and high renown. Rightful. That is, that those people's (?) toward Allah Almighty were rightful, and that He granted renown accordingly, it says. And here it says: we granted them a gift from Our mercy. It says both 'we granted a gift' and that the person deserved it. Now granting a gift is one thing, deserving it another. So it's very wrong. These are just words that badly contradict each other.
For example: we granted them a gift from Our mercy. We granted them a rightful and high renown. This time it puts the gift aside. A rightful and high renown. Whereas look how beautifully we render it here. They attained Our mercy. How beautiful, they attained His mercy. They themselves reached a rightful and high renown. Yes, give people their own good deeds.
