Al-Hajj 40: They are the ones who have been driven away unrightfully from their homes only because they said, “Allah is our Lord”. Verily, if some people had not prevented (the evil deeds of) other people (just for the sake of Allah), then, monasteries, churches, synagogues and mosques, (places) in which Allah’s name is mentioned plentifully, would be perished. Surely, Allah helps those who help Allah (Allah’s religion). Surely, Allah is Qawiyy (Mighty) and Azeez (Exalted).

Explanation
The misinterpretation
They are people who have been unjustly expelled from their homes only because they say, "Our Lord is Allah". Had Allah not repelled and prevented some people (evil) with others, monasteries, churches, synagogues and masjids, in which Allah's name is mentioned abundantly, would have been destroyed. Allah certainly helps those who help Him (his religion). Undoubtedly, Allah is mighty, victorious.
The right translation
They are the ones who have been driven away unrightfully from their homes only because they said, “Allah is our Lord”.
Explanation
This is where this verse goes wrong: If Allah had not repelled and prevented some people (from their evil deeds) by some other people, verily: If Allah had not averted (the evil deeds) of some people by other people (for the sake of Allah). In this verse they again attribute everything to Allah (swt). However, people were sent to the world to prove what kind of people they are. In this case, they attribute everything to Allah, saying, "If Allah had not prevented some people (from their evil deeds) with some other people". However, if some of the people had not prevented some other people (from doing evil (for the sake of Allah)), the opening of the verse would have opened the meaning of the verse without attributing shortcomings to our Lord.
Allah (swt) never interferes in what people do in this world. However, what people do is written in their own accounts. In this case, if an iota of good and an iota of evil are written in their own books, why did our Lord make a covenant with us if He is going to send people on top of each other by His own will, by removing the will of the people from the people by sending some people on top of some people by involving our Lord? If the meaning of the misinterpreted verses were changed by changing the letters, the verses would contradict each other and our religion would be turned into superstition.
What is said in the video
Verse 40 of Surah Al-Hajj is somewhat long; this one too, first we read the wrongly translated version. They, it says, are those who were unjustly driven out of their homes for no other reason than saying: Our Lord is Allah. Correct. If Allah had not repelled some people's evils by means of others and prevented them, surely — pay attention to this part. The mistake is right here. What does it say? If Allah had not repelled some people's evils by means of others and prevented them, surely the monasteries, churches, synagogues and mosques in which Allah's name is much mentioned would have been destroyed. Allah, those who help Him, His religion, He will surely help.
Does He? He does.
Without doubt Allah is strong, mighty, it says. So what's wrong here, Hodja? Earlier I said: pay attention to that word. Which is it? If Allah had not repelled some people's evils by means of others and prevented them. The mistake is here. Hodja, where's the mistake here? Isn't that how it is anyway? People, with their good deeds, the evil, the evil ones, it says. Don't they prevent it? Look, how is that part? Let me tell you.
If some people's evils, for Allah's sake, other people had not repelled and prevented. Now, didn't everyone come here to prove what kind of person they are? Does Allah tell me: go, that man is bad, invite him to the religion? I do it for Allah, to fulfil Allah's command. They drilled two, three dowel holes. He's hammering them in. (?) inshallah. Yes. Now I'm reading that wrong part once more. Also, will is twofold, don't forget this. Universal will, partial will. Partial will: what one asked of Allah Almighty at Elestü bi-Rabbiküm (?), Allah Almighty wrote his wish for him as his destiny. He imprinted characters in him.
From then on, within his wish, Allah Almighty never again interferes in that destiny.
That's why Allah tells no one: you go and do this. What does He say? 'O people, My command is this' — and one fulfils My command. A person may fulfil it or may not. If he does — if he fulfils Allah's command, he earns reward. He joins those whom Allah loves. If he doesn't — those who turn their backs on Allah have moved away from Allah. Now look, what does it say here? In that case: if Allah had not repelled some people's evils by means of others and prevented them. So He tells you: Ahmet, Mehmet, you are a people, you go and prevent their evils. Is that what He tells us? Does He tell us that? No.
We ourselves feel compassion, we go and do them good, we try to prevent their evils. This is exactly it: if some people's evils, for Allah's sake, other people had not repelled and prevented. Now, these are the actual deeds people do within their own will. Otherwise Allah doesn't tell me: go and stop him. Allah has listed the good deeds. Help those in distress. Help your brother in Islam. Take them by the hand. Sir, if you have money, give your zakat, go on your Hajj. If a person does these — does Allah tell you: you, go on Hajj? If Allah told you directly, 'you have money, go on Hajj,' and you didn't go, you'd become a disbeliever.
But you have money and didn't go on Hajj. You become a sinner.
If only people could grasp the subtleties here. You understand these subtleties, don't you? Yes. In that case a person, Allah's command, in a way that pleases Allah, as a friend of Allah, to win Allah's love, a person moves in the direction Allah wants. By his own will. Otherwise Allah doesn't steer him. That's where the mistake is. But a person can't grasp and understand this part. What mistake is there here? Of course, if he doesn't know the Truth. Yes.
