The misinterpretation

We had certainly given Abraham his coming of age before. We knew him well.

The right translation

Vow to that; We had given to Abraham his rectitude before. He knew Us well.

Explanation

This is the wrong place in this verse. We knew him well. Indeed: He knew Us well. Our Lord does not need to know people well. He knows people and His creation in the best and most beautiful way.

Our Lord says in the 103rd Verse of Surat al-Anam: (The eyes cannot comprehend him, whereas he sees and comprehends all eyes. He is the All-Knowing, the All-Aware).

In this case, they are attributing our Lord with incomplete attributes in the Verse they open about Hazrat Ibrahim (peace be upon him): "We knew him well", they are characterizing our Lord with incomplete attributes. Does our Lord have servants whom He does not know well? If He has servants whom He does not know well, wouldn't these openings be wrong according to the Verse in which He says, "He comprehends all eyes, He knows things well", and according to the Verse in which He says, "We know the secrets of your hearts", and according to another Verse in which He says, "We know what is in the farthest corners of your hearts, which you need but cannot know"? Won't there be a situation of Verses contradicting each other? Verses do not contradict each other. That is, they do not contradict each other, they do not contradict each other, all the Verses support and confirm each other. The truth of the verse is: Surely We had already given Abraham his maturity. When it says: "He knew Us well," it means that Ibrahim (Abraham) was a Hanif. Despite living among a pagan tribe, he had believed in one God since childhood.

What is said in the video

They translated (?) very wrongly. Here they have led people astray every time. They always attributed it to Allah Almighty. Verse 51 was translated wrongly. By oath, We had given Ibrahim his maturity before. We knew him well, it says. We knew him well. So does Allah Almighty not know the others well? There is a very incomplete statement here. He knew Abraham well, it seems. And the others? Allah created all of them. He knows everything best. Every living being to come until the Day of Judgement (?) what it will do, it says. Whereas what do we say here? By oath, We gave Ibrahim his maturity before.

He knew Us well. Allah Almighty saying "I knew Abraham well" — Allah forbid. There is no such thing. Abraham knew Us well, it says. Why did he know Us well? Because he was a hanif, it says. Hanif. What does hanif mean? Even at a young age, one who believed in a single god, who believed in Allah and not in idols, it says. Yes.
