Al-Hajj 52: (Oh My Messenger!) We have not sent any Messenger before you whom Shaytan has not tried to mix into (worldly desires) when they asked for something. But Allah places Allah’s verses solidly (in terms of wording and meaning). Then, what Shaytan tries to mix in (against the truth) becomes invalid (inside the person’s heart). Allah is Aleem (All-knowing) and Hakeem (All-Wise).

The misinterpretation

(O Muhammad!) We have not sent any Messenger or Prophet before you so that when he makes a wish, Satan does not necessarily try to add (human desires) to his wish. However, Allah cancels what Satan will add. Then Allah places His Verses (in terms of wording and meaning) firmly. Allah is the Knower, the Wise.

The right translation

(Oh My Messenger!) We have not sent any Messenger before you whom Shaytan has not tried to mix into (worldly desires) when they asked for something. But Allah places Allah’s verses solidly (in terms of wording and meaning). Then, what Shaytan tries to mix in (against the truth) becomes invalid (inside the person’s heart). Allah is Aleem (All-knowing) and Hakeem (All-Wise).

Explanation

The wrong opening is here: Allah, however, cancels what Satan would add. Then Allah establishes His Verses firmly (in words and meaning). The truth is: Allah establishes His Verses (in letter and meaning) firmly. Then that which Satan would have added (falsehood against truth in the heart of the messenger) is canceled.

So when they opened the Verses, they opened the Verses as they understood according to their own intellect. Is our Lord so incapable that when He reveals something to His servant, He tells the devil to stop, don't say it, I will reveal it to my servant? Then whatever temptation the devil may give, our Lord has not yet revealed the original verse to His servant, so that He can remove the temptation of the devil. When our Lord reveals, the devil tries to give temptation. But when our Lord reveals the revelation to His Prophet on a strong and solid foundation, the devil's temptation and falsehood will be overcome by the meaning of the verse on the strong and correct foundation of the revelation, and the devil's temptation will be eliminated. Our Lord says in another Verse: (Satan's temptation is ignorant to my servant who knows me). In another Verse: Truth has come and falsehood has been eliminated. Otherwise, he does not say that I remove the temptation of the devil and tell my servant the truth.

What is said in the video

then Allah sets His verses firmly in place in wording and meaning. Allah is All-Knowing, Possessor of judgement and wisdom. Beautifully said, isn't it? Where is the mistake here? Yes, beautifully said. The mistake — where is it, do you know? Allah (?) cancel the temptation Satan would insert.

Pay attention to the verse. In another verse: until We have settled the verse in your heart, do not move your lips. We will settle it firmly in your heart, and you will never forget. Now, according to this verse, Satan's — this verse, when Allah Almighty reveals it into the Messenger's heart, for Satan what cancelling is left?

Here Allah firmly settles His verse in His Messenger's heart. That temptation Satan would insert strikes against the Truth and is cancelled. Yes. Aren't we the same? How do we recognise Satan's temptation? If we know the verses well — because we know the verses, it strikes against what is right; since it is Satan's temptation, it passes and goes.

Isn't it the same situation? If Allah Almighty, while revealing to the prophet, Satan's temptation — if He had cancelled Satan's temptation, well, he too is a human, and I'm a human too. When it tempts me too, I wouldn't follow it. Had He cancelled mine too — I'd say, right? But if you know Allah's verses well, you won't follow Satan. He is your enemy, it says. Right. If a prophet falls for the temptation Satan gives and Allah's verses carry little weight, what will Allah do? He'll have cancelled Satan's temptation. Could such a thing be? It will settle in him firmly. He doesn't even take Satan's temptation into account.

That's it: when falsehood strikes the Truth, it is wrecked and gone.

How beautiful the meanings are, aren't they?

If understood, of course. Yes. We're reading the correct one. O Muhammad, before you We sent no messenger or prophet without Satan, when he made a wish, trying by all means to insert human desires into his wish. Up to here it's correct anyway; we read the same thing. But Allah sets His own verses firmly, in wording and meaning, in place. Then what Satan would insert, what Satan would insert, being falsehood, in the face of the Truth is cancelled in the person's heart. Allah is All-Knowing, Possessor of judgement and wisdom. Yes, in the person's heart the temptation he gives is cancelled, because it is falsehood.

Yes, now how plainly and clearly one thing we'll say. Allah, it says, puts whom He wills into Paradise or Hell, right? Whom He wills He puts into Paradise or Hell. We have proved this to you: Allah puts no one into Paradise or Hell by His wish; by a person's own wish, into Paradise or Hell He puts them. That is, He will call him to account for the actual deeds he did, because there is the Supreme Court. Allah Almighty will call us all to account. If it's whom He wills to Paradise, whom He wills to Hell, why will the Supreme Court be set up? Yes, like this, false words, in the face of people who know the Truth, are cancelled and gone, along with the temptation Satan gives.
