An-Nur 21: Oh you believers! Do not follow the steps of devil (shaytan). Whoever follows devil’s steps (should know that), he certainly orders lewdness and abomination. If Allah’s blessings and mercy were not upon you, none of you would come out clean. But Allah purifies those who desire (from Allah). Allah is Samee (All-Hearing) and Aleem (All-Knowing).

The misinterpretation

O you who believe! Do not follow the steps of the devil. Whoever follows the footsteps of Satan, he will certainly command indecency (disgraceful crimes) and evil. If it were not for the grace and mercy of Allah on you, none of you would ever come out clean. But Allah purifies whom He wills. God hears and knows.

The right translation

Oh you believers!

Explanation

In this Verse, as they have always fallen into the same mistake, they have again opened the Verse by blaming our Lord, instead of saying: (But Allah purifies whom He wills). They should have said: But Allah purifies those of you who wish.

In this verse we have written that our Lord has no will over people, that every soul has made a covenant with our Lord, and that people's desires and wishes are written for them as destiny, and that this will never change, and that in this case our Lord has no will over people. It is explained in detail in verse 172 of Surah A'raf. There you can find out why we were created, where we were created, why He made a covenant with mankind and why He sent us into the world even though He knew what we were. You can get information there.

What is said in the video

Verse 21 of Surah An-Nur: O you who believe! Do not follow the footsteps of Satan. Whoever follows Satan's footsteps, surely he enjoins indecency, shameful crimes and evil. Correct.

Had it not been for Allah's grace and mercy upon you, not one of you would ever have been purified. But Allah purifies whom He wills, Allah hears and knows. Here, with the word 'whom He wills', they spoil the way the verse comes. What do we say? We read the correct version. O you who believe, do not follow the footsteps of Satan. Whoever follows Satan's footsteps, surely he enjoins indecency, that is, shameful crimes and evil. Had it not been for Allah's grace and mercy upon you, not one of you would ever have been purified.

Why would they not? What is the reason? Well, we are Muslims; if, even though we are Muslims, among us too, without Allah's mercy we cannot be purified, then where have these acts of worship of ours gone, isn't that so, Alparslan?

This statement, this verse confirms it: We did not create you free of error.

Look what it says here: Had it not been for Allah's grace and mercy upon you, not one of you would ever have been purified. So our Lord, who created us incomplete, in the period of ignorance, because of the evils we would do, or since He knew that, taking Satan as a guide, we would go after Satan and follow Satan's footsteps, and had He created us complete, we would have fallen into the position of a creator; so since Allah Almighty gave us from His spirit, He created us with a partial spirit and created us incomplete. When, for the mistakes we have made here, we turn to our Lord in repentance and seek forgiveness, the verse 'Allah Almighty accepts repentance abundantly' says: because We created you incomplete.

See how beautifully the verses always confirm one another. Isn't it so? How beautiful.

Had it not been for Allah's grace and mercy upon you, not one of you would ever have been purified. But Allah purifies whoever among you wills it. What does it say here? But Allah purifies whom He wills. Whereas Allah purifies the one who wills it. Allah hears and knows.
