Explanation
The misinterpretation
But those who repent and believe and do good deeds are different; God turns their bad deeds into good ones. Allah is very forgiving, merciful.
The right translation
Except for those who repent sincerely, has faith and who commit salih deeds. They repel evil with goodness. Allah is Ghafoor (Most Forgiving) and Raheem (the One Who very generously accepts repentance).
Explanation
This is where this verse goes wrong: Allah turns their evil deeds into good deeds. The truth is: They ward off evil with good.
Our Lord does not turn anyone's evil into good. However, He forgives the evil and sins of those who repent with His attribute of Tawwab. Such people, after repentance, repel evil with good against those who mistreat them.
What is said in the video
Who are these? Non-Muslims. In the seventieth verse, a wrongly translated verse: except those who repent and believe and do good deeds; they are an exception. Now, in the verses we just read, the wrongly translated verses, the misguided could never be saved again, right? Here they save their skin. In the wrongly translated verse it now saves them. What does it say? Except those who repent and believe and do good deeds. Allah turns their evil deeds into good deeds. Allah is Most Forgiving, of vast mercy, it says. Whereas: except those who repent and believe and do good deeds. What does it say here? Except those who repent and believe and do good deeds.
Allah turns their evil deeds into good deeds, it says. They repel evil with good. Evil. They have repented. Otherwise Allah does not turn their evil into good. I do evil too. Let Him turn my evil into good as well. Allah does not interfere in anyone's actions and deeds. But look what we are saying here now. They repel evil with good. Is there a verse for this too? There is. You tell me, which verse?
Let me tell you. The friends of Allah, it says, if someone, angry at a person, goes to insult him, there, it says, he does not insult back; he turns that evil into good, it says. Into good. The person does this himself. And from that friend of Allah, toward a person going, going toward evil, let nothing evil come forth. In the evil he goes toward, he always warns the person with his tongue, shows him the truth and guides him. Yes.
So: except those who repent and believe and do good deeds. They repel evil with good. With good. Allah is Most Forgiving. Of vast mercy.
