The misinterpretation
We put a curse on their backs in this world. They will be among the vilified on the Day of Resurrection.
The right translation
They got possessed with damnation upon themselves on this earth. On the Day of Judgment, they are among those who are loathed.
Explanation
This is where this verse goes wrong: We put a curse on their backs in this world. The truth is: They put a curse on their backs in this world.
Our Lord made a covenant with each person individually, leaving them free to their own will. The people who made a covenant with our Lord, one by one, have written their own desires and wills as their destiny. In this verse, it is not that we put a curse on their backs in this world, as they wrongly say, but that they put a curse on their backs in this world, that is the truth. Because every human being has come to this world to prove what kind of a person he is. Did you think that he will die without proving what kind of a person he is? People prove what kind of a person they are by the actual deeds they do while they are living.
What is said in the video
We are reading the verse that was rendered wrongly. In this world We attached a curse behind them, it says. They are among the despised on the Day of Judgement, it says. Where is the mistake in this?
Who will say it? Not you. You already know it. What does it say? Let me read it once more. In this world We attached a curse behind them. They are among the despised on the Day of Judgement, it says. Now Allah Almighty never attaches, to anyone, by His own being, that is, by His will, a curse; He does not. The right way is: by the deeds a person has done, Allah Almighty judges with His attribute of justice. He gives him the punishment for what he did. So it was not Allah who gave that person the punishment; he gave it himself. That is, they caused the curse to be attached.
Can you grasp the point of His Word here? Its beauty. What does it say? In this world We attached a curse behind them, it says. So what is Allah Almighty actually saying? Some say it like this: Allah will put whom He wills into Paradise and whom He wills into Hell, they say. Whereas: whoever wills, to Paradise; whoever wills, to Hell. This is the same. The same thing. Allah attaches a curse to no one. But they cause it to be attached. Who are they? Those who rebel.
