The misinterpretation
He creates and chooses what the Lord wills. They have no choice. Exalted is Allah, and exalted is His glory.
The right translation
Whatever Your Lord (Allah) wants and desires; creates and brings it to existence (fulfills Allah’s judgment by Allah’s justice). They don’t have a say (to judge in the hereafter). Allah is far from what they attribute.
Explanation
This is where this verse goes wrong: It is the word of the elect. Verily: He wills (He executes his judgment with justice, as being free from deficient attributes)
To select means to save or promote one's loved one or acquaintance. But when justice is done, those who are worthy are brought to that job. To say that Allah has chosen this or that would not only contradict our Lord's attribute of justice, but it would also be discriminating between His servants and not giving the rightful person his due. Then the verse is incomplete. In this respect, the correct wording of the verse is: He wills (He executes His judgment with justice, being free from deficient attributes).
What is said in the video
Yes, there is a mistake in verse 68. Your Lord creates what He wills, it says; correct. Whatever He (?), Allah Almighty creates, and chooses, it says. The word 'chooses' is a bit strange too; if He creates, what will He choose among His creatures? They have no right of choice, they have no right of choice; that is correct too. He creates the angels, they have no right of choice, (?) programs. Allah's, Allah is exalted above what they associate with Him, and His glory is high; correct. But now there is an ambiguity here, a doubt has begun here. That doubt — what is it? Your Lord creates what He wills and chooses; they have no right of choice; Allah is exalted above what they associate with Him, and His glory is high.
Now we read the correct version. Your Lord creates what He wills. Correct. And He exercises ihtiyar.
There is no 'chooses'. Ihtiyar. Among His creatures He makes the distinction between those who know His essence and those who don't. Just as (?), or in the realm of Lahut, having created and said to people 'I am your Lord', those there were divided into three.
For Mary too the Prophet says: for you, he says, being among three women is enough, he says. That is, it became ihtiyar. She came among three women. There, it says, she (?) among the chosen. That is, he says it as the head of the chosen ones. He says it in yet another way. Whereas our mother Fatimah will intercede for all of Islam's women. Here, if Allah Almighty had chosen our mother Mary as the head of women, Allah Almighty would not have given our mother Fatimah the right to intercede for women; He would have given it to her. But they are the four great women within Islam. Our mothers, that is, more precisely.
Yes. What do we say? Your Lord creates what He wills and exercises ihtiyar. Here, being free from deficient attributes, He carries out His judgement with justice. With justice. There is no 'chooses'. He carries out His judgement with justice. For them there is no discretion, no giving judgement in the Hereafter, it says. For them, no discretion. That is, there is no giving judgement in the Hereafter. Allah's, Allah is exalted above what they associate with Him, and His glory is high.
Here we make a distinction, here. What does it say? Let's read the wrong one once, and the right one once. Your Lord creates what He wills and chooses. What do we say here? Being free from deficient attributes, He carries out His judgement with justice. Among His creatures. He carries out His judgement with justice. Now let's continue. They have no right of choice. For them there is no discretion, no giving judgement in the Hereafter. It says they have no right of choice, you see. Whereas this is not choice. It's discretion, that is, telling anyone 'you give this ruling, you give that ruling' — there is no such thing. Because there, no one but Allah, the Judge of judges, has the ability to give judgement.
Yes. Allah is exalted above what they associate with Him, and His glory is high. That is the meaning of the verse.
