The right translation
If We had offered the heavens, the earth and the mountains; the Responsibility, they would have shied away (from the Responsibility). Man has taken it upon himself. Verily, they (some people) are oppressors and ignorant.
Explanation
This Verse has been misinterpreted from the beginning: "And We offered the trust to the heavens and the earth and the mountains, and they were afraid to bear it," when it says, "Is there life and life in the earth and the mountains, that Our Lord offered it to them, and they were afraid to bear it? They were afraid of the responsibility. The Qur'an, the Word of Allah, was written and sent as an address to human beings. When people interpret the meaning of the Qur'an according to their own minds, such absurd superstitions arise. The true meaning of the verse is in accordance with reason and logic and was sent as an address of our Lord to mankind. (If We had offered the trust to the heavens, the earth and the mountains, they would have hesitated to bear it). Our Lord wants to say: If I had offered the Qur'an to these creatures of mine who are as strong and solid as the earth and the mountains. Otherwise, it is not that I offered it to them and they were afraid. They would have hesitated to undertake the trust, they would have been afraid of the responsibility. Allah (swt) informs us how powerful and strong people are in the worlds through their will.
2- Man took it upon himself. Indeed (some of them) are very cruel and ignorant. Nor did our Lord create all mankind ignorant and cruel. Many of them are cruel and ignorant. You cannot call the Prophets of our Lord, the awliya, the martyrs and shuhada, and the scholars weak and ignorant. The correct opening of the verse is as follows: Man bore it. Indeed (some of them) are very cruel, very ignorant.
What is said in the video
That was the verse that was rendered wrongly. In verse 72 there is a mistake.
"We offered the trust to the heavens, the earth and the mountains, and they shrank from bearing it.
They feared its responsibility."
What does it say? "We offered the trust to the heavens, the earth and the mountains, and they shrank from bearing it. They feared its responsibility." What is this? The Holy Quran. "Lev enzelnâ hâzel Kur'âne alâ cebelin," it says. "Had We sent this down upon the mountains, they would have crumbled to pieces in awe of it," it says. To pieces. "Man took it upon himself. Truly he is very unjust, very ignorant," it says. There, now, Allah Almighty makes man so unjust, so ignorant that at the same time to the mountains, to the mountains that are strong, if the mountains would crumble to pieces in awe of the Quran, people come to count as nothing. An ignorant man took it on, an unjust man took it on. Whereas He created man as the noblest of creatures and made him honoured above the worlds. Honoured. In this case man is the vicegerent on earth, and He adorned man with the image of His Essence.
Even to the angels He created pure in the universe He did not give the value He gave to man.
In this way He gave man a part of His Essence and did not leave man devoid of the images of His Essence.
In this case, this is a statement only an ignorant person would write. What do we say? "Truly some of them, some of them are very unjust, very ignorant." Some of them. Why? Because in the address "Am I not your Lord?", when Allah Almighty there said "I am your Lord", they divided into three classes. Those of the right, those of the left, the class of those brought near. Those of the left, those who roam the earth, He says, are like four-legged animals.
When we say some of them, we mean them anyway. Allah Almighty says so too, anyway. They are the wrongdoers. Lying disbelievers. The (?) of the earth. Cursed peoples. Yes.
