Al-Ahzab 73: (Thus, Allah gives this Responsibility, to allow people to prove who they are.) Allah will punish hypocrite men, hypocrite women, idolater men and idolater women (who continue in their hypocrisy and idol worship) and forgive mu’min men and mu’min women who repent. Allah is Ghafoor (Forgiving) and Raheem (the One who very generously accepts repentance).

The misinterpretation

(Allah will give this trust to man) torment hypocrite men and hypocritical women, polytheist men and polytheist women, and accept the repentance of believing men and believing women. Allah is Forgiving, Merciful

The right translation

(Thus, Allah gives this Responsibility, to allow people to prove who they are.) Allah will punish hypocrite men, hypocrite women, idolater men and idolater women (who continue in their hypocrisy and idol worship) and forgive mu’min men and mu’min women who repent. Allah is Ghafoor (Forgiving) and Raheem (the One who very generously accepts repentance).

Explanation

These verses have been misinterpreted from the beginning. Our Lord's forgiveness is abundant. Our Lord's intention in sending the Holy Quran. Our Lord sent people to the world to make people witness what kind of a person they are. In this case, when people come to an unknown realm, our Lord sent it so that people who are in darkness can see ahead of them, what they will do, and to inform people of the orders of our Lord who created them out of nothing. In this case, He will torment the hypocrite men and hypocrite women who disobey the command of our Lord, and the polytheist men and polytheist women who worship idols as partners to our Lord, and those who pass on to the Hereafter in this state without repentance.

And the believing men and believing women who repent will be forgiven. Allah is the Forgiving, the Merciful. Believing men and believing women do not go beyond the command of our Lord. They fear and obey our Lord. These are the people who are aware of the revelations. They are constantly in repentance. Because humans are not free from mistakes. Since our Lord accepts repentance in abundance, believing men and believing women who are on the path of repentance will be forgiven by our Lord.

What is said in the video

It comes to Surah Saba. Let's render this one too and stop at Surah Saba.

In verse 73, I am reading its wrong version. "By giving this trust to man, Allah will punish the hypocrite men and hypocrite women, the polytheist men and polytheist women. And He will accept the repentance of the believing men and believing women. Allah is forgiving, merciful."

Now here it says this.

Pay attention here, how much a single word changes the meaning.

"The hypocrite men and hypocrite women," it says, "He will punish the polytheist men and polytheist women."

The Christians, the Hebrews, the Magians (?), will He not punish them? Those who deny Allah and pass on to the Hereafter deprived of the light of Islam, will He not punish them? But here, the hypocrite men and hypocrite women, the polytheist men and polytheist women, what does this mean, these polytheists? Idol worshippers.

"Do not marry the polytheists," He says. "They call you to the Fire."

Now here they are people so lacking in knowledge that they cannot tell the polytheists from the disbelievers. I'm telling it straight. Why do I say that? They say there is abrogation in the Quran. Abrogation, in the Quran there is no abrogation. If there were abrogation in the Quran, if one verse had replaced another verse, Allah would have made Himself (?) too. Whereas, if abrogation had been in the Quran, it would contradict this verse. (?) "whatever it was before, so it is in eternity," He says. Now how can you say there is abrogation here? Without having the knowledge to tell a polytheist from a disbeliever, how can you attribute such a quality to Allah?

A polytheist is an idol worshipper. And the disbelievers are the People of the Book. "Do not marry the polytheists," He says. When He says, "marry from the People of the Book, the disbelievers," they say this abrogated that. Look. They cannot grasp the meanings of the verses. Yes. We will say: may Allah reform them. Yes. We will say: may Allah protect them from this responsibility. We pray for them too. God willing they turn back from their mistakes. And convey these nicely to people. Yes. (?) is waiting for you. God willing.

What are we saying here? Allah Almighty giving this trust to people is so that people, of their own accord, prove what kind of person they are. In this case, to the men who continue in hypocrisy, wasn't He turning in the verse above? He was turning. He was forgiving. Look: "He will punish the men who continue in hypocrisy and the hypocrite women, the men who continue in polytheism and the polytheist women.

In repentance (?) the believing men and believing women will be forgiven. Allah is forgiving, merciful." Since only polytheists and hypocrites are mentioned here, we mean them. In many places too Allah Almighty says, "With Me the religion is Islam." Inne'd-dîne inda'llâhi'l-İslâm. Whoever seeks a god other than Islam, let him seek a god other than Allah.

Since there is no religion other than Islam, there is no god other than Allah either.
