The right translation
Now, a veil has been placed between them and what they had desired, just as before it was done to the ones who were similar. Verily, they were in a fear that made them worry.
Explanation
This is where this verse goes wrong: Now a veil has been drawn between them and that which they desire, as it was done to others like them before them. The truth is: They have now put a veil between themselves and what they desire, as was done to others like them before them.
When they open the verses, they always open them accusing our Lord. Our Lord does not draw a veil between anyone and what they desire. Our Lord gave the devil what he wanted to the fullest, no matter what he wanted. Our Lord, Who created human beings honorable above the worlds, does not attribute Himself to human beings by drawing a curtain between them and what they desire. Our Lord is exempt from imperfect attributes. If our Lord restricts whoever wants what our Lord wants and puts a barrier between him and what he wants, he is discriminating between His servants.
A question like this may come to our minds. We pray and we don't get what we want. Doesn't that qualify our Lord according to what you say? If you don't know the verses, you will attribute them according to yourself. Our Lord says in His verse that there is no prayer that is not accepted. This means that all requests are accepted. But when people make a covenant with our Lord, whatever they have asked from our Lord, our Lord has written their requests in their destiny. When a person asks our Lord for something outside his destiny, if it is outside his destiny, He will not give it to him. But in the Hereafter, many rewards will come his way. The person asks our Lord: "My Lord, I did not do these things, they are not mine". Our Lord says to the person: "You asked me for these things in this world. I did not give you what you asked for because it was beyond your destiny. He says, "This is your reward today because of your patience.
In this case, the meaning of the verse is that Our Lord does not draw a veil between what people want.
What is said in the video
Yes.
There is a mistake in verse 54 of Surah Saba. "Then, as was done to their likes before, between them and what they desire a veil has been drawn. Surely they were in a fear that threw them into anxiety," it says. Yes. Whereas here: then, as their likes did before, between themselves and what they desire they have had a veil drawn. Not "a veil has been drawn", but "they have had a veil drawn". Here man is always called to account for his own acts, for what he himself did. If Allah Almighty did it to people by His own wish and desire, or by His own will, wouldn't that contradict this verse?
What does it say about the Day of Judgement? "Today no one will be wronged. Everyone will be given in full what they earned, as the return of their own two hands," it says. How beautifully it says it: what everyone earned, as the return of their own two hands. And if here Allah Almighty removed my will and used His own will over it, then wouldn't that contradict this verse too? Yes. That is why, when verses are rendered, one must not attribute the act to Allah Almighty. If one attributes it to Allah Almighty, that verse is not the true rendering of the verse. And if a person does it knowingly, he falls into kufr; if he does it knowingly.
If you ask who would knowingly do this: today, on the Quran, playing about in such subtle ways, in the translations, how many teams are there to lead people astray? Very many. There are very many teams. And this has been going on for a century. But against what they do, Allah Almighty raises a scholar. He brings all their time to nothing, like that. Yes.
