The misinterpretation
(O those who associate partners with Allah!) Worship anyone you wish other than Him. Say; The truly disappointed are those who will lose both themselves and their families on the Day of Resurrection. You know, this is clearly frustration.
The right translation
(Oh, idolaters!) Worship whomever you wish besides Allah. Say, “Indeed, those who cause loss to themselves and their families (who followed their path) on the Day of Judgment are truly in utter disappointment. Beware: this is clearly the ultimate loss.”
Explanation
This is where this verse goes wrong: Those who cause loss to themselves and their families on the Day of Resurrection. The truth is: They are the ones who cause loss to themselves and their followers on the Day of Resurrection.
In people's families, there are those who accept Islam from the children or relatives of those who live in disbelief. People are not robots so that they can do the same job as each other. Hazrat Ibrahim's father Azer was an idolater. Hazrat Ibrahim was a Prophet. Hazrat Noah was a Prophet, but his son was an infidel. In this case, the verse has been opened wrongly. The wrongly opened Verse reads as follows. Say: Indeed, those who are losers are those who waste both themselves and their families on the Day of Resurrection. Indeed, the losers on the Day of Resurrection are those who cause loss both to themselves and to those who follow them from their families. Except those among them who are Muslims.
What is said in the video
Surah Az-Zumar, its 15th verse has also been wrongly rendered. The verse is not wrong; a verse cannot be wrong. Because Allah Almighty says: We sent down the Quran, and We are its guardian until the Day of Resurrection. Neither distortion in a single letter of it nor alteration occurs, He says. In that case, there are verses that have been wrongly rendered. We have corrected them. What does it say in verse 15? O you who associate partners with Allah! Worship whatever you wish besides Him. Say: truly the losers are those who, on the Day of Resurrection, both themselves and their families — clear — their families, bring to ruin.
'Know that this is the clear loss,' it says. Now what is there here? Look, I'm reading it once more. O you who associate partners with Allah! Worship whatever you wish besides Him. Yes. Say: truly the losers are those who, on the Day of Resurrection, bring to ruin both themselves and their families. Know that this is the clear loss. Well then, the correct one — let me read it; you find it there. When I read the correct one... This is a very subtle point. O you who associate partners with Allah! Worship whatever you wish besides Him. Say: truly the losers are those who, on the Day of Resurrection, bring to ruin both themselves and those of their families who follow them.
Isn't that so? Those who follow them. Is there anyone in one's family who does not follow him? There is. Who? Like the wife of Noah. Yes. So you shall not ascribe attributes to Allah Almighty. Allah is not to be so described. Each of His words confirms the others. The other is fine too. The others are fine. Know that this is a clear loss.
