Ash-Shuraa 52: And thus, We have revealed to you the Qur’an by Our commandment. You did not know what the Book is or what faith is. However, We have made it (The Qur’an) a divine light for Our servants, so that whoever seeks, can find guidance for the truth with it. With no doubt, you are showing the correct path.

The misinterpretation
Thus We have revealed to you the Quran at our command. You did not know what the Book is, what faith is. But We have made it a light with which We guide whomever of Our servants we will. No doubt you are showing the right way.
The right translation
And thus, We have revealed to you the Qur’an by Our commandment. You did not know what the Book is or what faith is. However, We have made it (The Qur’an) a divine light for Our servants, so that whoever seeks, can find guidance for the truth with it. With no doubt, you are showing the correct path.
Explanation
The wrong opening here is this: Whom We guide whom We will. We have written in many verses that our Lord has no will over mankind, and since the Qur'an refers to will as repetition, we are putting our footnote about will as repetition.
In this verse we have written that our Lord has no will over people, that every soul has made a covenant with our Lord, and that people's desires and wishes are written for them as destiny, and that this will never change, and in this case our Lord has no will over people. It is explained in detail in verse 172 of Surah A'raf. There you can find out what we were created for, where we were created, why He made a covenant with mankind and why He sent us into the world even though He knew what we were. You can get information there.
What is said in the video
Verse 52 has been rendered wrongly. Thus We have revealed the Quran to you too by Our command, Allah Almighty says to the Prophet. You did not know what the Book is, what faith is, He says. True: when He first created him, while he was light, he knew neither book nor faith. Only after He gave from His spirit does he understand. Yes, but We made it a light by which We guide whomever We will of Our servants to the right path, it says. Surely you are showing a right path, it says. Now: Thus We have revealed the Quran to you too by Our command, you did not know what the Book is, what faith is, but We made it, for those of Our servants who wish — what does it say here: We ... whomever We will of Our servants, by it, to the right path — here: "whomever We will".
Not "whomever We will", but: We made it a light for those who wish, so that by it they reach the right path. Surely you are showing a right path, it says. Yes.
