The misinterpretation

Whoever is heedless of remembering the Most Gracious, We will afflict him with a devil who will not leave his side. Now this is a friend for him.

The right translation

Whoever turns away from the remembrance of Allah, a devil (shaytan) is appointed as a companion for them, and that devil becomes their close friend.

Explanation

This is where this verse goes wrong: We make him a devil who does not leave his side. The truth is: he will find a devil with him who haunts him. They open the verses in such a way that they do not give any credit to man. They open the verses constantly blaming our Lord. Here, they slander our Lord by misinterpreting the verse to mean that we will make him suffer from a devil who does not leave his side.

Human beings are created with faults. He may fail in worship or not worship at all, and then he regrets that he has failed to show his gratitude to our Lord, repents and continues his dhikr. When a person is in a state of ignorance, is our Lord an enemy to that person, so that He can put shaytan on him? When a person falls behind in dhikr, that is, when he does not give thanks to our Lord, when he moves away from our Lord in his state of ego, the shaytaan will haunt him and he will get along well with him as a friend. The verse should be opened in this sense. In this situation, how compassionate our Lord is towards human beings and how beautifully He enlightens us with His verses in order to raise their ranks and prepare for them good homes in the Hereafter.

What is said in the video

Surah Az-Zukhruf, on page 491, Surah Az-Zukhruf's verse 36 is a verse that has been rendered wrongly. What does it say? Whoever is heedless of remembering the Most Merciful, We set upon him a devil that never leaves his side. From then on, that is a companion to him, it says. Now normally everyone would say: what's wrong with this? In life, I mean, the meaning is like that anyway. Whoever is heedless of remembering the Most Merciful, We set a devil that never leaves his side upon him. From then on, that is a companion to him, it says. Whereas, since Allah Almighty never created people free of error, He does not set the devil like that upon those who are heedless of remembering Allah.

Ah, it could say this: What does it say? Whoever is heedless of remembering the Most Merciful finds beside him a devil that latches onto him. Look how beautiful. That latches onto him. Otherwise Allah sets the devil upon no one. If He had set the devil upon him, what would a person say? You are the Lord of the worlds. You are the Owner of power and might. You are the Owner of knowledge. When You will a thing, it surely comes to be. Since You set the devil at my side, and my strength won't be enough against him, what do You want from this deed I did — he could say something like that, I mean, he would say this. Whereas no one, sir, will be able to question Allah Almighty. This is Allah's attribute of being Allah.

In this case, people, by their own minds, sir, opening up the verses, interpret Allah Almighty. What does it say now, let's read the verse once more: Whoever is heedless of remembering the Most Merciful, beside him, We set upon him a devil that never leaves his side, it says. Allah, Allah! So then, if people who leave Allah's way, who leave the remembrance of the Most Merciful, who don't pray, who don't fast — if Allah set the devil upon those people, if He set the devil upon him, that person's place would be Hell. Because he could never find the right path again. If it is something Allah set upon him, the devil too will do his job.

Whereas man is strong and has a will. Man will use his own will. In the address Elestü bi-Rabbiküm, when Allah Almighty said "I am your Lord", our scenarios were written according to the covenant we gave Him, and we came to the world to prove what kind of people we are. In our deeds from then on, Allah Almighty does not interfere. In this case, a person earns reward and sin through the deeds he himself does. In this case they have ascribed qualities (?) to Allah Almighty. Again, of Surah Az-Zukhruf
