The misinterpretation
Even if we take you away from them, we will still take revenge on them.
The right translation
Even if We would take you away from them, they would still retribute from their own selves (their nafs).
Explanation
In this verse they have again opened the verse by insulting our Lord. Again We will take revenge on them. Indeed: Again they take revenge on their own souls.
In the 25th verse of Surat al-Zuhruf they say that our Lord takes revenge on people. In this verse they repeat the same statement. We are putting a footnote to verse 25 of Surah Zuhruf as a repetition.
When they open the verses, they always open them by attributing shortcomings to our Lord. Does our Lord become an enemy to His creatures and take revenge on them? Is such a creator? Our Lord invites His servants to His Essence. If a human being is incapable and suffers injustice, if he becomes an enemy of someone, he will either kill him or take revenge on him by persecuting him. Is our Lord incapable of taking revenge on His creatures? If a person commits a crime and the law sentences him to death and he is executed, does the law take revenge on him? The person takes revenge on his own soul. The truth of the verse is: they take revenge on their own souls.
What is said in the video
Verse 41 of the Surah has been rendered wrongly. What does it say? Even if We take you away from them, We will still take revenge on them, it says. Now, Allah Almighty takes revenge on no one. It does not befit Allah's majesty. Did Allah lack the power, and so set out to take revenge? Look how beautiful. What does it say? Even if We take you away from them — that is, He is saying it to the Prophet — to me. Sir, that is, when you pass on to the hereafter, even if We take you, or take you from their side to another place, We will still take revenge on them. That is, on those who don't obey Allah, We, He says, will take revenge. Well, revenge means one person's enmity toward another.
Allah is no one's enemy, that He should take revenge on him. Whereas, how is the correct one: Even if We take you away from them, they will still take revenge on their own selves. Every person takes revenge on his own self. Don't we earn reward and sin through the deeds we do? So the punishment Allah Almighty gives us in the hereafter for the sins we committed — isn't that us taking revenge on our own selves? Take a judge. A criminal comes before the judge. The criminal, the penalty for the crime, is sent to prison. Did the judge send him, or did the criminal take revenge on his own self and send himself to prison? In this case, no one can ascribe qualities to Allah Almighty.
In this way they have fitted Allah Almighty into their minds and rendered it by their own minds. Without thinking of the reward and sin of it, because a person writes something — so they write, so they say — he wrote it here, but that "so they say" carries a great burden.
