The misinterpretation
But the day we seize it with great violence, we will certainly take our revenge.
The right translation
But on the Day, when We seize them with a mighty onslaught, they indeed take revenge from their own selves.
Explanation
In this Verse, they write in the same way that our Lord takes revenge on people. We repeat the footnote that we have repeatedly put under other verses.
In this verse they have again opened the verse by insulting our Lord: We will certainly take Our revenge. Verily: They will certainly take revenge (on their own souls).
In the 25th verse of Surat al-Zuhruf they say that our Lord takes revenge on people. In this verse they repeat the same statement. We are putting a footnote to verse 25 of Surah Zuhruf as a repetition.
When they open the verses, they always open them by attributing shortcomings to our Lord. Does our Lord become an enemy to His creatures and take revenge on them? Is such a creator? Our Lord invites His servants to His Essence. If a human being is helpless and suffers injustice, if he becomes an enemy of someone, he will either kill him or take revenge on him by persecuting him. Is our Lord incapable of taking revenge on His creatures? If a person commits a crime and the law sentences him to death and he is executed, does the law take revenge on him? The person takes revenge on his nafs. The truth of the verse is: They will certainly take revenge (on their own souls).
What is said in the video
We have come to Surah Ad-Dukhan, sir. In Surah Ad-Dukhan, verse 16 has been mistranslated. What does it say here? "But on the day We seize with a great violence, We will surely take Our revenge," it says. Good heavens, they keep following the same claims all along. He squeezes Allah Almighty into his own head. When a person gets angry at someone, if he finds the chance, he takes revenge on that person, and he makes Allah do exactly the same. Yet what does Allah Almighty say? "Today, without anyone being wronged" - where is this? At the Great Court. "Without anyone being wronged, today everyone will be given in full what they earned, the due of their own two hands," it says. So where here is Allah taking revenge on people?
"But on the day We seize with a great violence" - when He says great violence, the Great Court will be set up, a great court will be set up. The Judge of judges, Eleysallahu bi-ahkemi'l-hâkimîn, Allah Almighty - that is the day We seize with great violence. A day from which there is no escape. Everyone will be gathered at the place of assembly. They will wait for the time He calls them to account before the Great Court. That is: "they will surely take revenge on their own selves," it says. Meaning, We will give them exactly the return of what they did. As the Judge of judges. Yes.
