Al-Jathiyah 23: Have you seen the ones who took own desires as their god, And straying away from Allah’s path, asked (from Allah) for their ears and hearts to be sealed and their eyes to be veiled (against the Truth)? So now, Who can guide them ever besides Allah? Will you not reflect?

The misinterpretation

Have you seen a person who takes his whims and whims as a god, whom Allah has led astray according to a knowledge (from Himself), sealed his ears and heart, and put a veil over his eyes? Now who can guide him to the right path other than Allah? Will you still not take a lesson?

The right translation

Have you seen the ones who took own desires as their god, And straying away from Allah’s path, asked (from Allah) for their ears and hearts to be sealed and their eyes to be veiled (against the Truth)? So now, Who can guide them ever besides Allah? Will you not reflect?

Explanation

This is where this verse goes wrong: Have you seen him who takes his desire as a god, whom Allah has misguided according to a knowledge (from Himself), and has sealed his ear and his heart, and has drawn a veil over his eyes? Verily: Have you seen him who takes his desire as a god, and goes astray from Allah's way, and has his ear and his heart sealed and a veil placed over his eyes?

Those who are unaware of the 172nd Verse of Surah A'râf have attributed shortcomings to our Lord because they have opened the Verses according to their own minds.

Our Lord has never led anyone astray. He did not discriminate between His servants. Our Lord has made a covenant with people. He has written everyone's destiny exactly for them as their fate. In this case, people have led themselves astray in the middle of the straight path and have put plugs in their ears and veils over their eyes and sealed their hearts. In this case, no one can say that our Lord has put a plug in the ear of this one, a curtain over the eyes of that one and sealed the heart of that one among His servants. Those who are ignorant of the meaning of the covenant in Kalu Bela have turned the verses into superstitions because of such attributions of our Lord.

What is said in the video

Verse 23 of Surah Al-Jathiyah is also a mistranslated verse. "He who takes his whims and desires as his god" - how beautifully Allah Almighty puts it - it has been mistranslated, but there are correct parts in it. He has taken his whims and desires as his god. With his carnal pride, his arrogance, his ego, or, sir, trusting in his money, sir, the person who sees himself as a possessor of grandeur puts himself in God's place. Meaning, he will do whatever he says, have his way in everything. If he doesn't get his way, he will oppress people. "Whom Allah, according to a knowledge from Himself, has led astray, and whose hearing and heart He has sealed." These are the parts that are wrong.

Look what it says: "according to a knowledge from Allah Himself." That knowledge is not to be interpreted that way. When it says "according to a knowledge": They - when they made a covenant, when We made a covenant with them, so as not to see the truth, over their eyes over their eyes, sir, plugs in their ears, and their hearts sealed, He says. Allah did not seal them by His own wish and desire. Allah Almighty sealed them according to the person's own wish and desire, within his own will. That is it. Here too, when it says "according to a knowledge," one asks, which knowledge? Now we will explain this.

"Led astray" - yet Allah leads no one astray. A person goes astray himself. "Have you seen the one who had his hearing and heart sealed and a veil drawn over his eyes?" He says. "Now who besides Allah can bring him to the right path? Will you still not take heed?" says Allah Almighty. Now we are first reading the correct one. Look: "Have you seen the one who takes his whims and desires as his god, who strays from Allah's right path and has his hearing and heart sealed and has a veil drawn over his eyes?" Look how beautiful. He will in any case always be called to account by the deeds he did in his own actions. Otherwise, if Allah Almighty made him do evil, sir, and then said, why did you do this - would that befit Allah's glory?

How can you translate this verse this way? How can you translate these verses this way, slandering Allah? Look, now we have read the correct one. Now let us also read the crooked one. You will understand the correct one better. "Have you seen the one who takes his whims and desires as his god, whom Allah, according to a knowledge from Himself, has led astray, whose hearing and heart He has sealed and over whose eyes He has drawn a veil?" it says. Now I am reading the correct one here. "Have you seen the one who takes his whims and desires as his god, who strays from Allah's right path and has his hearing and heart sealed and has a veil drawn over his eyes?" See, actual deeds: each person will be called to account for his own deeds.

"Now who besides Allah can bring him to the right path?" If Allah Almighty wills, if He uses His own power to act, removes the will from him and uses His own will, then of course the power of Allah Almighty suffices for everything. Only Allah brings him to the right. "Will you still not take heed," He says. The meaning of "will you still not take heed" here: everyone is free in their own will. "With Us there is a Book," He says. It is preserved in the Preserved Tablet. Nothing is added to it later, nor any (?) made. "A word has gone forth from Us," He says. Paradise and hell. From now on We no longer look at anyone's destiny.

Everyone will be called to account by the deeds they themselves did. Those who do good deeds to paradise, those who do evil deeds to hell, He says. "Will you still not take heed (?) of this?" He says. Yes.
