Al-Hujurat 3: Verily, those who keep their voices gentle and kind; are the ones whose hearts are filled with (taqwa) abstinence (and who prove their character this way). For whom, there is mercy and a great reward.

The misinterpretation

Those who lower their voices in the presence of Allah's Messenger are those whose hearts Allah has tested with piety. For them is forgiveness and a great reward.

The right translation

Verily, those who keep their voices gentle and kind; are the ones whose hearts are filled with (taqwa) abstinence (and who prove their character this way). For whom, there is mercy and a great reward.

Explanation

The wrong place in this verse is this: "Those whose hearts Allah has tested with piety." Correctly: "They are the ones (who prove what kind of people they are) with piety in their hearts." Our Lord does not need to test anyone. Because our Lord, who made a covenant with us at Kalu Bela, knows what kind of people we are. Our Lord says, "We know the secrets of your hearts. If every soul has come to this realm to prove what kind of a person it is, if the script of the covenant that people have made with our Lord is being played out in this realm, then people will act out the script they have written like an artist. In this case, in order for one's covenant in his destiny to be revealed, he will prove what kind of person he is in return for his love for our Lord, for his obedience with taqwa in his heart.

What is said in the video

Rather than giving a promise, He has promised, it says. Yes, we have come to Surah Al-Hujurat.

In Surah Al-Hujurat, the third verse has been rendered wrongly. "Those who lower their voices in the presence of Allah's messenger are surely those whose hearts Allah has tested with piety. For them there is forgiveness and a great reward," it says. The verse is very nice, but there is one word missing here. Look, what is it? "Those who lower their voices in the presence of Allah's messengers are surely those whose hearts are tested with piety." What does it say here? "He tested with piety." Whereas the person tested with piety is himself; they are those who prove what kind of people they are, it says.

Those who lower their voices and do not speak in the presence of Allah's prophet, those who lower their voices, who, when speaking above the Prophet, speak in a lower voice — surely, it says, Allah tested their hearts with piety. Whereas here, the people whose hearts are tested with piety have themselves tested, they are tested. They are those who prove to themselves what kind of people they are. "For them there is forgiveness and a great reward," it says.
