Al-Mulk 2: Allah is the One who deals death and grants life, so that you would manifest (yourselves) who is acting in the best manner. Allah is Azeez (Most Exalted) and Ghafoor (Most Forgiving).

Explanation
The misinterpretation
He who created death and life to test which of you will behave better. He is the absolute winner, very forgiving.
The right translation
Allah is the One who deals death and grants life, so that you would manifest (yourselves) who is acting in the best manner. Allah is Azeez (Most Exalted) and Ghafoor (Most Forgiving).
Explanation
This is where this verse goes wrong: To test him as to his better behavior. Correctly: That He may make you prove (to yourselves) which of you is better in behavior.
Our Lord does not need to test people. Our Lord knows the secrets of people's hearts. It is the testing of each other by people who do not know that they are well acquainted with people's situations, so that they can form an opinion about people.
What is said in the video
Surah Al-Mulk, verse two: He who, in order to test which of you will act better — look, look, look, Allah doesn't know us. How can they render these verses like this? And Allah Almighty's verse is clear, explicit. There is not a single living being to come until the Day of Judgment whose doings We do not know. Then it says: until the Day of Judgment, not a leaf of a tree can stir without My permission, it says. A leaf stirring. Now, in that case, Allah Almighty, in Surah Al-A'raf, verse 172, had made a covenant with people. Where have they put this — how did they hide these verses, that "He who, to test which of you will act better, created death and life", it says?
He hides verse 4 of the "Ta" surah (?). Sir, although Allah Almighty knew, when He made the covenant with us, what we would do, Allah Almighty, who is free of any deficient attribute, creates this world, the unseen realm, and makes us prove ourselves to ourselves, to those around, to Allah.
He who, in order to make you prove to yourselves which of you will act better — Allah Almighty makes us prove it to ourselves. In order to make you prove it, He created death and life. He is the Absolutely Mighty, the Much-Forgiving. This is the meaning of Surah Al-A'raf, verse 72. That's it, sir: I know the secrets of your hearts. The meaning of the verse. It's all in there. The verses always confirm one another. They don't contradict. Yes.
Before this, when the Diyanet said, we are having German and English Qurans printed, I used to say: my heart is burning, burning inside. My heart is burning. If you print with such superstitions, of course my heart burns. Yes. But now I know they have woken up. That I know. They've woken up. If only they weren't deceived by their nafs. If they tried to be worthy of the loftiness of the office they hold — they will try, God willing. With this book I've given into their hands, let them sit down with the correct ones and write what they wish.
Someone said a word to me.
To me, that word is a slander.
Now I'll explain to you why that word is a slander.
A respected person whose name I won't say, sir, and he too is a sincere man. "You always say I, I," he says.
He says it to me exactly like that. "You keep saying I, I," he says. "The man understood it that way, he explains it that way," he says. And I told him in a gentle tone: I don't always say "I", I am explaining Allah's verse. Allah speaks the truth. If that person explains Allah's verse wrongly, it doesn't come to mean his opinion, and nobody says "that's his opinion". They say: Allah said so. Because he is explaining Allah's word. If I said to you now: I called Ahmet Efendi here — if I said that, and someone reported my calling Ahmet Efendi here like this: "He chased Mehmet away from here" — would I have said that?
What happens? The person who reads it that way too will say: ah, the Hodja Efendi didn't call Ahmet, he chased Mehmet away.
To whom is he attributing this lie? He attributes it to the Hodja Efendi. And so with wrongly explained verses, it is attributed to Allah. I'm not saying "I", God forbid. Egoism is from Satan, and Satan was cursed because of egoism. Now I suppose this too has been understood well. Ever since then this was a distress inside me. I've said this too, God willing. If they heard it, sir, God willing they listen, and regret what they said about this too, God willing.
