The misinterpretation
Are you sure that what is in the sky will not sink you to the ground? Then the earth shakes as it shakes.
The right translation
Are you sure to be safe, from being buried into the ground (by a calamity coming) from the sky? Behold, then the ground begins to tremble.
Explanation
This is where this verse goes wrong: Are you sure that what is in the sky will not make you sink to the ground? The truth is: Are you sure that he will not make you sink to the ground (with a calamity from the heavens)?
When we say the one who is in the sky, we have a word that is ambiguous and a word that is meaningless. What does it mean who is in the sky? But some people, because of their faith and lack of knowledge, understand this. They may understand it to mean that our Lord is in the heavens and we are sure of the punishment He will give us. But our Lord is not in the heavens, He is present everywhere. Also, our Lord is free from time and space. In this case, our Lord is not in the heavens, but our Lord has also abode on the Throne, which means that all created beings are in need of our Lord, and our Lord is not in need of His creatures. It is the manifestation of our Lord's attribute of life. So the truth of this verse is: Are you sure that He will not sink you to the ground (with a calamity from the heavens)? It has to be said.

and regret what they said about this too, God willing.
A verse wrongly explained, in verse sixteen of Surah Al-Mulk. Are you sure that the One in the sky will not cause the earth to swallow you? Then the earth will quake and quake. Now: that the One in the sky will not cause the earth to swallow you, will not let it, it says. The sky is what's above us, isn't it? The sky. So, sir, are we now to look for Allah in the sky? That's what it says. Are you sure that the One in the sky will not cause the earth to swallow you? Allah will sink us into the earth from the sky. Whereas there: by a calamity coming from the direction of the heavens, by a calamity coming from the direction of the heavens, are you sure it will not sink you into the earth, it says.
How well He destroys the people of Salih. A cloud comes; because of the heat they will take shade under that cloud, sir; once everyone gathers there, with one cry they all perish. Yes. How beautifully Allah Almighty shows us past peoples as examples in this way. By a calamity from the direction of the heavens — that it will not sink you into the earth, are you sure? Then the earth will quake and quake, it says.
