The right translation
Except for those (who desire from Allah) Allah wills. Indeed, Allah knows the manifest and the hidden.
Explanation
This is where this verse goes wrong: Except whom He wills. The truth is: Except the one who asks Allah.
Our Lord has no will over human beings in this worldly life. When man made a covenant with our Lord at Kalu Bela, man wished what he wished from our Lord and man's own wishing became his destiny. The reason why this is so is because man will be held accountable for his will. If our Lord had interfered with what people willed. They would have attributed the sins of the people to our Lord. Therefore, when Allah judges between people with His justice, no one will be able to blame our Lord and say that I committed these sins because of your will. This is the correct opening of the verse: Except the one who asks Allah.
If one repeats the Qur'an continuously in order not to forget it, one will not forget it. But if a person ignores it because he thinks he knows it, of course he will forget it. Did our Lord make those who forgot this Qur'an forget it? It has been the focus of people to open the verses with an accusation against our Lord.
What is said in the video
There is no mistake. In Surah Al-A'la, in the seventh verse, there is a mistake. In the seventh verse of Surah Al-A'la: We will make you recite the Quran. Then, except what Allah wills, you will never forget, it says. Look how nicely it puts it. You will never forget. Just before, they said: we will settle this firmly in your heart and you will never forget. We mentioned that verse. Now here it comes up before us. The correct version: We will make you recite the Quran. Right. Except the one who asks of Allah, except the one who asks of Allah, you will never forget. Because what does it say here?
Except what Allah wills, it says. And although Allah says memorize the Quran, Allah — except Allah's willing. That is, to some of His servants: you forget this. I don't like the way you recite, that's how they write it. And people truly fit Allah into their own heads this much, and face to face, like a human conversation, by the measure of their own mind, they talk and hold a dialogue with Him. Mashallah. Mashallah. Yes. We will make you recite the Quran. Except the one who asks of Allah, you will never forget. Yes.
