Translation

The Master of the Day of Judgment.

Tafsir

(Every soul will taste death and will be asked about your rewards, your good deeds and your sins on the Day of Resurrection. Then whoever is taken away from the Fire and is put into Paradise, he has attained his goal. Otherwise the life of this world is nothing but deceitful gain).

According to this verse, Allah (swt) informs us that there is an afterlife after the life of this world, that the afterlife is just like the life of this world, and that the realm of the afterlife is the realm of the true world, and that Allah (swt) is the owner of both worlds, the realm of the visible [matter] and the realm of the afterlife. Another meaning of this verse is: (O man! What has happened to you that you have denied the Hereafter? Is not Allah the judge of judges)?

Allah is the Owner of the Day of Judgment, the Day of Reckoning. There is no one with power and might except Him. He will call His creatures to account with all His majesty and power and justice. Surah Zilzal Verse [7 - 8]

(Whoever does an iota of good will be rewarded). (Whoever does an iota of evil will be punished).

According to these verses, He commands us to prepare for the Hereafter without being deceived by this material world, to know Allah (swt) and His Oneness, to fulfill the duty of servitude to Him in the realm of property, and to do what our Lord tells us to do. Otherwise, He clearly informs us that we will have no helpers in the other world where we will finally go. Accordingly, even though our reason shows us the truth, we may say, "O human! What has happened to you that you have denied the Hereafter? Is not Allah the Judge of Judges?

(The life of this world is nothing but a deceitful advantage), it states that in the realm of property, people take advantage of and benefit from the things created by Allah (swt). (Every soul will taste death) According to the verse, it reminds us that these worlds are finite, that our benefits in this world will come to an end, and that we should prepare for the realm of the hereafter, which is the realm of truth.

What is said in the video

Of Surah Al-Fatiha, the fourth verse: Malik-i Yevmiddin — He is the Owner of the Day of Reckoning. Malik-i Yevmiddin, that is, that day, Malik. He is Melik, the King. The Judge of judges. Of that day, of all dominion and all His creatures, He is the Owner. It is so in this world and in the universe too, but this time there is a difference. In this world I have a judgement. I too have judgement. I make judgements; I earn reward and sin. In the hereafter I no longer have judgement. Why not? Because I have already given my judgement. Now we await the judgement of our Lord, Who will judge. That is in the verse where He says, "Today the judgement is Mine alone." Not "the judgement belongs to Allah alone." They interpret it wrongly.

"That day the judgement" — the verse says so anyway. That day the judgement belongs to Allah alone. Which day? At the great court, in the world of the hereafter. There no one has any judgement any more. So, Maliki Yevmiddin, the Owner of the Day of Reckoning: every soul will taste death. Your wages, your good deeds and sins, will be asked about on the Day of Resurrection. Then whoever is kept away from the fire and admitted to paradise has attained his goal. Otherwise, the life of this world is nothing but deceptive gain. What beautiful verses; of what we explained, how beautifully they all (?) one another.

It is a deceptive (?). Yes, the nafs's inclination towards the world. Allah's command upon us — seeing the world with these outward eyes and, in our imagination, casting the hereafter behind us. That is what deceives us. According to this verse, of the existence of the hereafter after the life of this world, that there is a life in the hereafter just like the life of this world, and that the real world is the hereafter — by informing us of this, Allah Almighty makes known that He is the Owner of both worlds, the outward, that is, the material world and the hereafter — He makes this known to us.

In this verse. What does it say? He is the Owner of the Day of Reckoning.

What does this mean? After this world, where we seem to be left on our own, according to the verse "every soul will taste death" (?) from here. So we are guests here. We are guests. Then, that behind this there is another world, He tells us. What does He say? Your wages, your good deeds and sins, will be asked about on the Day of Resurrection. On the Day of Resurrection. That is, after the Resurrection breaks out, in the hereafter, the great court will be set up. Now, two worlds (?). An outward world, an inward world. That is, after these worlds, after we die, after all people have come into the world from the (?) world and proven what kind of being they are, the Resurrection will break out.

And after the Resurrection breaks out — however long we lie beneath the earth, Allah knows best — then we will be raised. That is, as bodies. Then our spirits will be taken from the barzakh, and look, in the (?) our bodies will be united with our spirits. That is, they will come face to face. When the souls are paired, He says, We will bind your hands, silence your mouths, bind your feet and make your hands speak, He says. That is, our body, our body will speak to us, will bear witness. "I have a driver — when you come before Me with a driver," He says, "I have such a driver" — one that films what I did itself, on camera, and will later tell it to me.

We said two, right — a spirit and a body. That driver, that witness, is my own flesh and bone. This is my camera. Wherever you go, it is with you. Yes.

So if we are deceived by these worlds and forget the hereafter, our Lord, with the verse Maliki Yevmiddin, says: O man! What has happened to you that you denied the hereafter? Is Allah not the Judge of judges? Is it not Eleysallâhu bi-ahkemi'l-hâkimîn? Will He not call you to account? Will He not show you, by what you did, the proof of what kind of person you are? Then what will you say? What will you say? My Lord, give me one more chance, let me go to the world once more. See how I will worship You — you will say. But after those worlds are closed to you, when you come to the world again, so long as your own wishes and desires, your fate, remain in you, you will do the same thing again.

What does Allah Almighty say then? Even if We sent you back not once but several times more, you would do the same thing again, He says. Yes. I said I would remind you now and then. My first reminder: during the talk, please do not ask personal questions. There are new listeners, so please do not ask personal questions. You can ask questions about our lesson. That is, what you could not understand of what I explain, you can ask me. That is allowed. One. Second: the Torah, the Psalms, the Gospel and the Quran — these are a remembrance (dhikr). What is dhikr? That which repeats one another. Dhikr. That is, repeating, with something.

For example, you say Ahmet. When you say Ahmet, Ahmet, Ahmet: "Why are you mentioning me?" he says. So Allah's verses are a dhikr. So what does this mean? No verse contradicts any other verse. All verses support one another. So we will use dhikr a lot. We will use verses with verses a lot. So if it does not fit your mind in one, it will in another. If it does not enter your mind in one, it will in another. If you cannot grasp it in one, you will in another. So let us be a little patient. We will surely learn. And with dhikr. See, we keep mentioning them one after another, with verses like this.

Yes.

If Allah Almighty is the Owner of that Day of Reckoning on the Day of Resurrection, if there is no one with strength and power but Him, with all His majesty and power He will call His creatures to account with His justice. Surah Az-Zalzalah, 7 and 8: its verses.

What shall we read? Whoever does an atom's weight of good will see its reward. What is this? Fe men ya'mel miskâle zerratin hayran yerah.

And whoever does an atom's weight of evil will see its punishment. Ve men ya'mel miskâle zerratin şerran yerah. Allah Almighty is just. What you earn is the return of your two hands, He says. What you earn. So man will in no way be able to blame Allah Almighty. And today we see many people: "Well, my Lord sees this, so why does He allow it?" Why does He allow it? He created you so honoured, so dignified and so exalted that He gave a part of Himself and addressed man Himself. Himself. And the Holy Quran, as a mercy to the worlds, His Word, He sent us as a gift. And hey, fool, instead of saying it like that, say: O Lord of the worlds, my Allah, You created me so honoured, so dignified and so exalted that You made me both vicegerent of the earth and addressed me Yourself.

And hey, my helpless nafs, towards such a sublime Lord, why, why do you not submit and carry out His commands — instead of blaming yourself like that, look at the arrogance of that nafs: what does it say? "Doesn't my Lord see? Why does He allow it?" Your Lord sent you to prove what kind of person you are; He will catch you. Not just you — all the people and beings He created in the universe He will return to Himself. What does He say? In the end, all souls will taste death, and in the end you will return to your Lord, He says. And in one verse He says: man toils and toils towards his Lord. How? In this life, in the arrogance of his own self, that he is going to his Lord he is not aware; toiling in that swamp of a world until his life is over, he is not aware.

Yes. According to these verses, without being deceived by this material world, to prepare for the hereafter as well, to know Allah Almighty's oneness and unity, to fulfil in this world our duty of servanthood to Him, and to do what our Lord says — this He commands us. With what?

"I will record that atom's weight of good you did. Tomorrow it will appear before you.

I will also record that atom's weight of evil you did. That too will appear before you tomorrow at the great court. And your good deeds and sins, on that scale of My justice called the Mizan, will be weighed, and without a hair's breadth — without any injustice to anyone being done — according to the verse 'what everyone earns is the return of his two hands', you will be sent to the place you deserve," He says.

And beware, do not be deceived by this world, He says. That is, never be deceived by this outward world. Know well where you came from. And know well where you will go. The words of the blessed Yunus Emre always come to my mind. "He who does not know whence he came and whither he goes is an animal," he says. Yes. Where did you come from, where will you go? Who am I, you will say, who am I? You will ask yourself: who am I? Why did I come to this world? Why was I created?

And the verses before you — my Lord, the Owner of these verses, Who created me — what duty did He give me? Today you go to a factory; in that factory they give you a task, and you are obliged to do it. If you don't, they either throw you out or give you a warning. Isn't it the same in a government office? Everyone has their own duties. If you don't do them, well, they warn you once or twice, make you write your defence, and then they finish you off. If this world is the likeness and shadow of the hereafter, then in this world you are in a factory. A factory. Allah Almighty has placed in this factory everything — from its minerals to its trees, every kind of material.

And people are workers in it. In working these, there are Allah Almighty's laws. Just as a government office, a civil servant has a law, workers have a law, a factory has its own law, so too, in this world-factory, you are obliged to act by your Lord's laws. If it is under your own will and responsibility, then if you act thinking of that Day of Reckoning when you will give account, you will get away safely. But if you step outside that command, if you push Allah's limits, then in the hereafter you will be left alone. From your Lord's mercy you will be deprived.

Yes. What was it? Let us read this once more. Fe men ya'mel miskâle zerratin hayran yerah. Ve men ya'mel miskâle zerratin şerran yerah. With these verses, in this material world, without being deceived by the material world, to prepare for the hereafter as well, to know Allah Almighty's oneness and unity, to fulfil our duty of servanthood to Him in this world, and to do what our Lord says — this He commands us. Otherwise, in the world beyond to which we will finally go, that we will have no helper is clearly made known to us. Accordingly, although our mind shows us the truth, "O man! What has happened to you that you denied the hereafter?

Is Allah not the Judge of judges?" He declares. "The life of this world is nothing but deceptive gain." According to this verse, that in this world people benefit from what was created by Allah Almighty, and, according to the verse "every soul will taste death", that these worlds are perishable, that our gains in this world will finally end, and that we should prepare for the hereafter, the real world — this it reminds us. Who? Allah Almighty. What does He say? O man, to this unseen world, to prove what kind of person you are, I sent you. Do not be deceived by this world's deceptive gain. "Ahmet Efendi has a yacht, Mehmet Efendi has a palace, the other one has I don't know what car" — saying this, do not follow those who, without caring about halal or haram, amass wealth.

Beware of being carried away by your nafs's desires and following Satan's footsteps. Satan is your enemy. Never accept him as a friend. Otherwise you will wrong yourself, He says. You will wrong yourself.

With every verse our Lord both proves His own existence and beautifully holds a light before us.
