Explanation
What is said in the video
Yes, it was scared of you.
No, it was seeing it a moment ago, then it said. Look, now it'll write again, I don't know. Now it'll write again. No, it came, now it came. It came. It came.
The questions, let's answer them. It hasn't opened yet. It won't open.
It won't open. This one won't open.
This one won't open.
No. Is it this one that won't open? It won't. Our phones are working. No, this one won't open. Why won't it open? Look what it says.
Additional agreement, let's continue. This is the antivirus. The antivirus. I don't know what it is. They installed it before, they installed an antivirus. He installed it for our kids. Let's say continue, Hodja. Here? Yes, yes. (?) Hodja. Close it. No. You don't need to do anything. This VPN, we don't use it. Shall I close it? Close it. From here? Exactly. Could it be in that corner?
It came. It came. Yes. OK.
Search the internet for the thing.
We gave you the lights of the sky as adornment. Take a look at that.
Hodja, she says, which verses in the Quran tell about the planets, about space?
My spouse has serious problems with faith. Now, problems with faith are one thing. Asking out of curiosity is another. If he is going to believe the verses of the Quran, in the Quran it's all written. The planets are written there too. Look, I'll tell you from a verse in the Quran. "We made the lights of the sky an adornment for you, We gave them," it says. The lights of the sky. What is it talking about? It is talking about the stars. It tells what treasures there are out there. It tells us to go up there and search. Is it only one verse? No. I'll tell you another verse. "Even if you left your world and went to the remotest corner of the universe, We would still find you there," it says.
We would find you. According to these verses, non-Muslims have searched, and by this verse, that there is life on Mars, we can say. And they themselves already say there is life on Mars. On the farthest planet, Mars. Yes.
Allah has poured into the Quran whatever could come to a person's mind. Now, what does our child say?
She says there are serious problems with faith. People who have serious problems with faith, before criticizing the Quran, before criticizing Islam, first need to open the Holy Quran and read it. A person who does not read the Quran, who does not read the book in his hands, will of course envy the state of the non-Muslim and say, look, they went up to the stars, went to the moon, went here, went there. Look, they were finding things, why didn't Allah tell us these in the Quran, if only there were a verse, and so on his own he falls into delusions. In fact, instead of falling into this delusion he would read the verses of the Quran, and in the end ask a scholar what he could not grasp, and then the person would know that the wet and the dry are in the Quran.
The wet and the dry are in the Quran. That is not for you. Let him come here and ask whatever question he wants. Let him ask me. Not you.
If I can't answer his question here, it means it's not in the Quran. "Hodja, do you know that many Quran verses?" Yes. I know that many Quran verses. Let him come and ask me. Look, it speaks about the planets, right? Well, if about the planets it says nothing at all, now, to him, with what his eyes see, with the world's science of technology, the lunar system is before his eyes. What does lunar system mean? The lunar calendar. Allah Almighty has set the lunar calendar in the sky, with the sun, the earth and the moon, as a sign, so that My servants find their days from it, so that My servants find the days of the months from it.
Yes. So, if what appears before a person's eyes, the events that occur, he ignores, it means there is a veil over his eyes.
If a person goes to the cinema, amuses himself in pleasure and revelry, goes to beaches, if his heart sinks into the swamp of the world, it means there is deafness in his ears too.
His heart... God forbid, I don't want to say it like that, but such people's hearts are sealed. He does not want to see. He is always in contradiction. Now I will make him aware of his own helplessness. Or rather, not his: we will make ourselves aware of our own helplessness. We will learn this first.
Today, whoever the non-Muslim may be, that this universe has an owner, and that there is a God who created these worlds, and that besides Him there is no other god, even if he doesn't know it, Allah in the Quran says this: the angels and the scholars bear witness that there is no god but Allah. I am among those who bear witness. "Hodja, I don't believe you." Don't believe. The prophets said it too; some believe, some don't. "Are you a prophet, Hodja?" I'm not saying I'm a prophet; I'm giving you an example from the prophets. There is no god but Allah. Now I'll explain this to you too. If there were another god besides Allah... now, Allah Almighty, who created the worlds, says this: "If there had been another god besides Me, he would take what he created, and I would take what I created.
The worlds would fall into ruin," He says. Is there any such ruin? No. Now, in this case, we'll take this whole world, never mind the universe. The food you eat, all the blessings in the sea, in the air, on land, with the taste organs He put in your mouth, so that My servants eat the finest and enjoy the taste, He set these blessings before you. Did you create them? Did we create these plants? Did we create the fish in the sea? Did we create the animals on land? Do I have such authority?
In this case, Allah created our minds incomplete. The reason: so that when My servants err, they repent and know Me as great. First you must know Allah as great, so that afterwards you enter Allah's path. So if you have turned your back on Allah, however much we tell you, it's like winking in the dark.
First you must turn on your light. What does turning on your light mean? You must be an inquirer. You must research.
Not one-sidedly. Not with prejudice. Not with the feelings of the nafs. With fairness, using your mind, you must research. And where the truth is, there is your stop. Where falsehood is, stay far from there.
Yes. This much is enough, (?).
Let him tell me, let him come here and ask his question. Let's answer from the verses.
Hodja, on some farms and at Islamic associations and organizations shares of sacrificial animals are sold; people who don't know each other become partners and sacrifice an animal. How right is this? It is right. Allah Almighty created cattle, sheep and goats for people to slaughter, to sacrifice, to eat meat. Now, "let My servants pay little and get much meat." Lamb disagrees with some people, they can't eat that meat; so that he too gets the taste of the sacrifice, since his money doesn't allow him to slaughter a large animal, let him take a share, get sacrificial meat from there, both eat it himself and distribute it around him. How fine. We don't necessarily have to know each other; we are people who knew each other before. "What do you mean, Hodja?" Look what Allah Almighty says in the verse: if a Muslim is at one end of the world and another Muslim at the other end, they are brothers. Brothers, and between brothers there is no strangeness.
All are Islam. They are one; people who believe in Allah and, at Allah's command, five times a day put their weight in prostration before the Most Merciful.
If you have other questions, ask them.
We come to our lesson. We had stopped at verse 25. We are reading the footnote on Surah Yunus, verse 25. First we'll read the wrongly interpreted one. Then we'll explain the correct one to you, inshallah. He who made the sun radiant and the moon bright. Look, so the answer to the question is also here. How fine. It's ready here. How well our daughter puts it. Look, what a fine wonder this is now. He who made the sun radiant and the moon bright, the number of years and the reckoning so that you know, it is also He who set stations for it, for the moon. Allah created these only in truth and with wisdom.
He explains His signs to a people who know. Where is the flaw here? "To a people who know," it says.
Does He not explain His verses to a people who don't know? The Holy Quran came as a mercy to the worlds. Here: "with wisdom He created them. To all people and to those who believe in the truth, they are clear signs." It is a clear sign to all people and to those who believe in the truth. The wrongly interpreted part here is this. It says, "He explains His signs to a people who know." So a people who don't know, who can't grasp it, or a people it wasn't explained to, a people who haven't heard the truth? Is He discriminating? "You, don't hear the truth. You, let me say, are not Muslim." So does Allah Almighty say, "Did I not send you this verse?" The Quran came as a light, a radiance, to the worlds.
The correct version: "to all people and to those who believe in the truth, they are clear signs." Here we said "to the people", to those who believe in the truth. Yes, they are clear signs to those who believe. Here our Lord sent the Prophet (peace be upon him) as a mercy to the worlds. And He sent the Holy Quran to all the worlds, to mankind, to the jinn and to the jinn. In that case, their saying He sent it to a people who know, setting apart the others who don't know, comes to mean that He didn't send the Holy Quran to those people who don't know, which contradicts this verse. "We hold no one responsible for (?) We have not made known," says Allah Almighty.
How fine. So He sent it to all the worlds. Yes. In another verse, since He says every soul shall taste death and your return is to Me, it contradicts many more verses. Interpreting it as "He explains His signs to a people who know" is wrong. The correct one: "to all people and to those who believe in the truth, they are clear signs." Here it was always written as "to the people". Here it has always been written wrongly. Yes. We are correcting them. For a second edition. Surah Yunus, yes, it is verse twelve. We read Yunus five.
Surah Yunus twenty-five.
Which one did we just read? Are we coming to it twice?
It says Surah Yunus 25. Up to where did we read? 95, 97, 99. Yes.
Let's come here. 42. Yes. Of course, we started from the wrong place.
We are reading Surah Yunus, verse 25 to you. We... Allah Almighty brought that surah and placed it before us. When we say Surah Yunus, verse 25, Surah Yunus verse 25 isn't like this. Allah's wisdom brought it and placed it before us. Now, Surah Yunus 25, and that was Surah Yunus 25 too. Amazing. "Allah calls His servants to the abode of peace, and He guides whom He wills to the straight path," it says. The wrong part here is "He guides whom He wills to the straight path." Whereas whoever wills enters His straight path.
Now it says Allah calls His servants to the abode of peace. Now here let's open Surah Al-Baqarah, verse 257. Surah Al-Baqarah, verse 257.
Look what it says now, what does it say here? Allah calls His servants to the path of peace, right. Here: Allah is the friend of people, their friend. He brings them out of darkness into light, brings people out of darkness into light. From the light. Where is the light? You'll say, my way ahead is bright. Where am I in darkness? A non-Muslim, for example, might say that. When we came into the world, we were people who didn't know what to do, who couldn't see the way ahead, who hadn't set for ourselves what work we would take up. That is, in darkness. Allah Almighty sent us prophets and books. To light our way ahead.
"Hodja, those are your words." My words? I only ever quote verses. Now let's open Surah Ibrahim here. Let's see what it says. That's right. Let's open that too.
Yes? Surah Ibrahim. Al-A'raf. Al-Anfal. At-Tawbah. At-Tawbah, Yunus. Yunus, Surah Ar-Ra'd, Surah Ibrahim. Here we are.
Bismillahirrahmanirrahim. Alif, Lam, Ra. "This Quran, so that you bring people, by their Lord's leave, out of darkness into light, that is, to the path of Allah, the Almighty, the Praiseworthy, is a book We have sent down to you," it says.
Allah, to whom belongs whatever is in the heavens and on earth. "Woe to the disbelievers for a severe punishment," it says. Those who do not believe. Now in verse 134 of Surah Ta-Ha, Allah Almighty says too: if We had destroyed you with a punishment before the Quran, that is, before sending you to the world; We know what you are. If We had destroyed you, you would have said this, He says. "If You had sent us prophets and books, we would not have fallen into this abasement and (?)"; if you were not going to say that, He says, We would not have sent you to the world. That is Allah's attribute of being Allah: Allah Almighty is free from all deficient attributes, no one will be able to question Him. So, having clothed us in the garb of a body, in Surah Al-A'raf, verse 172, when we made our covenant with Allah Almighty, that covenant of ours was closed to us; our covenant became our destiny, the script of our destiny; our Lord wrote our script, and as actors, the script we had Him write, playing out our destiny in this world, we prove what kind of person we are. We make ourselves witnesses to ourselves, to those around us and before Allah Almighty.
Now we come to "Allah calls His servants to the abode of peace" from here. Let's not go too deep. On this we wrote a rather long text here. Allah calls His servants to the abode of peace, and whoever wills enters His straight path. The wrongly interpreted part in this verse is this: "He guides whom He wills to the straight path." The correct one: "whoever wills enters His straight path." Because Allah does not discriminate between His servants. Allah Almighty created our souls in the realm of Lahut, and when He said "I am your Lord", there they split into three groups. Now we'll explain it all to you here.
It will be understood better, inshallah.
We explained this verse before, but the verse we explained here, its meaning, we are setting down again and again. Since a subject is understood better when it is read again and again, we repeat it. Surah Al-A'raf, verse 172: "From the children of Adam, from their loins, He brought forth their offspring." Now we are reading the wrong verse. The verse isn't wrong. We're reading the wrongly interpreted verse. "From the children of Adam, from their loins, He brought forth their offspring. He made them witnesses over themselves and said: Am I not your Lord?" A person of sound mind would not write this verse this way.
He'll say Allah isn't seen in this world, and also say He brought forth offspring from the loins of the children of Adam and made a covenant with them. Where? In this world. Where? In the mother's womb. Where? Or in the hereafter? The words are the complete, diametric opposite of each other. People who use their minds would need to bring a thousand witnesses that this is the verse, for it interpreted this way. But look now. We'll explain the correct version.
The correct one: "He made the offspring who would emerge from the children of Adam witnesses over themselves." Ve iz ehaze rabbüke min benî Âdeme min zuhûrihim ve eşhedehüm alâ enfüsihim elestü bi rabbiküm. We, with those who would emerge from the offspring of the children of Adam, not yet emerged. Where? When He created the souls in the realm of Lahut, Allah Almighty made a covenant with us there. He said, "We are your Lord." A definite command. Elest. A definite command. He said, "We are your Lord." And there people split into three groups. "Where did you get three groups from, Hodja?" Open it. Surah Al-Waqi'ah, verse seven: ve küntüm ezvâcen selâseh.
All the ezvac (?) class. Fe eshabü'l-meymeneti ma eshabü'l-meymeneh. O people of the right, good tidings to you. Ve eshabü'l-meş'emeti ma eshabü'l-meş'emeh. O people of the left, woe to you. Ve's-sâbikûne's-sâbikûn, and the third group is the group of the foremost. The group of saints, prophets, martyrs and (?). Now, without going into too much detail, we'll explain these here anyway, but we gave you these as preliminary information. What did we say? The correct one: "He made the offspring who would emerge from the children of Adam witnesses over themselves and said: I am your Lord." The root of all the wrongly interpreted verses is that this verse was not understood; because of that, the verses, according to people's own minds, amid various superstitions, were interpreted wrongly, and they ascribed attributes to our Lord.
By explaining this verse to you, the errors interpreted as superstition in the Holy Quran and written by ascribing attributes to our Lord, we will try to remove.
This verse we'll explain somewhat in depth, I say. One: why did Allah Almighty create us? Go on, ask. Why did He create us?
This is also the answer to my daughter who asked earlier. Why did He create us? Two: where in the realm of the hereafter were people created? Three: why did He make a covenant with people? Four: why did our Lord, who made a covenant with people, although He knew what they were, send us to the world instead of putting us into paradise or hell there? All the questions you'd ask are here.
Yes, now I will give the answers to these questions. With verses, confirming verses with verses, we will give the answer. By answering these questions for you, our creation, coming into the world, having come into the world, our purpose and how we should behave in the world, we will better understand. In this way, our Lord... from the superstitions attributed to our Lord, from the superstitions of people who ascribe deficient attributes to our Lord, we will be freed. We give the answer to the first question. Why did Allah Almighty create us? Our Lord was self-subsisting in His essence. What does this mean?
He was neither created by another, nor was He begotten, nor did He beget. Now people can't understand this; they say "begot" and "was begotten" are the same, they say this was made up, right? Being begotten means being created by another, that is, was begotten, that is, of him too, but from himself, but from another, a god will invent... begotten, begot; by another. "Nor was He begotten" means He didn't come from him, nor did He Himself beget. He is free from all deficient attributes. Yes.
That is, our Lord has neither a beginning nor an end.
He Himself, with the attribute of the name Hu, subsists by His essence.
The word Hu: some say, "these are Hu-sayers", right? Calling them Hu-sayers means he denies Allah. What does this Hu mean? Subsisting by His essence. What does it mean? A being that exists by itself, created by no one, that has not begotten and was not begotten. Existing by Himself. Yes. When he says "Hu-sayer", a person who believes in such a God, has turned his back on Him. He says "Hu-sayer", looking down on him. But let's assume, in good faith, that this person says it without knowing. Yes.
That is, our Lord was neither created nor begotten, begotten, nor has He family, wife or child. So our Lord, before these worlds were created, is alone. He is also a great treasure of knowledge. Our Lord was a treasure of knowledge; He willed to be known. Right, now if I took you, alone in this universe, alone in the most beautiful place in the universe, with flowing waterfalls, forests, beaches below, you have palaces, properties, all made of gold, ruby and emerald; how long would you enjoy yourself here, how long would you stay? Even if you were immortal, you'd get bored. You'd want to be busy with something.
Isn't that so? And you possess knowledge too. And you're a creator too. Look, a creator.
So you mustn't think of this simply.
He is also a great treasure of knowledge. Our Lord was a treasure of knowledge. He willed to be known. From His light He created the light of Muhammad (peace be upon him). From his light, the seven heavens and the worlds with what is between them He created. Then He gave the Prophet (peace be upon him) a part of His spirit. And from the spirit of the Prophet (peace be upon him) He created the souls of the other prophets and made a covenant with them. In Surah Al Imran, verse 81, our Lord says:
"When Allah took from the prophets: after I have given you the Book and wisdom, when a messenger comes confirming what is with you, you shall surely help him. Do you affirm this? Do you take on this covenant?" When He said this, they answered, "We accept." Thereupon Allah: "Then bear witness, and I am with you among the witnesses," He said.
With all the messengers and prophets who would come to the world He made such a covenant.
Then Allah Almighty... there is very deep knowledge here, we're not going into that. Those parts go higher up. Here, why does Allah have no willing over man? His willing was His creating. After creating, there is no willing; we'll explain these. Then Allah Almighty created the souls of their peoples from the souls of these prophets. So, before the worlds were created, the first created was the Prophet (peace be upon him). Then the prophets. Then the peoples of the prophets. Our Lord was an unknown treasure; He willed to be known. For this He created man. In all the worlds our Lord gave of His spirit only to man.
That is why He made man honoured above the worlds. Why did He will to be known by mankind? The angels exist too, don't they know? They don't. So many creatures; did He not make Himself known? He did, but they don't know. All are programmed by our Lord. The angels know too, programmed like robots. But man, since Allah Almighty gave him of His spirit, will is two: our Lord's will is the universal will; in man there is partial will. He desired that man know his Lord with his own will. So those who knew and those who didn't split into three classes. Yes, so man's honoured creation above the worlds through his will, and the confirmation that only man has a soul, is right here.
Yes, like the (?), I won't say the name. As they say cats and dogs have souls. As he says, he'll know about his cat at home. Doesn't he know the verses at all, that he says he knows about his cat at home too? "Hodja, which verse says he doesn't know about his cat at home?" "If We sent you to the world not once but several more times, you'd still do the same things," He says.
"When We resurrect you, you will ask one another: how long did we lie under the earth? Some of you will say three days, some a little less than a day," He says. "Ask the noble angels charged with counting how long you lay under the earth," He says. So where does this person come to the world and know about his cat at home? And those who tell this go on TV and for big money teach people knowledge. Not knowledge: they teach superstition. Yes.
Now we come to our second question: where in the realm of the hereafter were we created? In the realm of the hereafter, our Lord created our souls, all the people who would ever come to the world, in the realm of Lahut. Our created souls, while unaware of themselves, He suddenly, all at once, awakened and made them recipients of the decisive call "I am your Lord"; I left. Now, this sentence here, this sentence settles the matter anyway. What does it settle? This sentence: a person who hasn't seen it cannot write this. Whoever wrote this this way has surely seen that place. And a person who hasn't seen it cannot explain this verse this way, that is, Surah Al-A'raf, verse 172.
The secret of the matter is here. Look, what are we saying? While our created lights were unaware of themselves, He suddenly, all at once, awakened them and made them recipients of the decisive call "I am your Lord". We humans are standing opposite in three groups. Allah Almighty on one side, the Prophet beside Him. Three prophets standing shoulder to shoulder. That is, with their arms they formed a circle. And I'm on one side like this.
Allah Almighty, exactly in human form. Exactly human. He says, "I am your Lord. I created you."
And the Prophet says yes. He addresses the people: "This is our Lord, the one who created us." Right? A supporter.
If you ask, "What are you doing, Hodja?", I'm on one side, bewildered. Look, I'm in a bewildered state. Yes, I have no before; I look at myself. It has no before. As if they suddenly sat me here now like this. Suddenly gave me life. What would I say? No before. Who am I? What am I? How am I? What will I do? Like that. I wonder, has someone really come out? He says, "I created you." Did He really create me, I wonder? Yes, "I created," so. This is clear. Everyone knows this. Religious or not, they know. Even the idolater knows. If he didn't know, he wouldn't worship idols.
At that moment, Allah Almighty, people too get a little opportunity. That opportunity: do you not use your minds? Do you never think? Do you not reflect? Now I'm thinking. If He really didn't create us, the one who created us would appear and destroy Him along with those who believe in Him. I know it exactly as if it were today. As I tell you, I'm from that realm; what is this realm to me but a sphere standing before me. Then I think,
I say: if there had been yet another god, I'm thinking this, I'm telling you my thoughts there, if another god had existed, that is, if he had been our creator, would he let all these creatures be introduced to Him? I say no, he wouldn't. So He created us, I say. But I'm waiting. The Prophet turns to me too; he confirmed, saying, the one who created us is our Lord, this one. I'm wanting Allah Almighty's word; "My Beloved, he is one of us," He said, "don't touch him." Then, as if you'd found an owner... there you're alone. A lone person: if I took you away to America, without a penny in your pocket, left you in some city in England, and you don't speak the language either, what would you do? You'd be lost: where will you go, what will you do, where will you stay? At that moment someone says to you, "Hey, Ahmet Efendi, Mehmet Efendi, what are you doing here?" Oh, you'd immediately embrace him. You found someone there, you found a guide, a supporter for yourself, you found a friend. Exactly like that: love.
After that there is also a separate covenant.
That's a world of its own. After that there's the covenant one by one. We're explaining that now anyway.
So our souls split into three parts. The reason: because our Lord gave people of His spirit, man, our Lord standing before him in human form, did not recognize as Creator, and out of pride and arrogance, being haughty, denied Him. So in His verse our Lord calls them lying disbelievers. Lying disbelievers. These people who denied our Lord waited for the Lord of their imagination. Now, these words of ours weigh very heavily on people. Because since birth they've said Allah cannot be seen. From birth, (?). Allah isn't seen in paradise either. Like a kind of phantom, they say. No. Like a light, like a dim light.
Do you know who tells us this?
Some of the Jews.
Is it (?)?
They have a thing, a sect I suppose, (?). Those who believe in light. In the end they'll remove Allah too and end with light. You know it. It's the (?). The (?). Yes. They instilled this in us. That's why these superstitious minds of ours, on hearing the truth, can hardly accept it. Because they've rested their minds on superstition. We can't know how people have been deceived. By whom they've been deceived. Yes.
Look now. I'll tell you one more thing. Would you accept a dog as a companion, as a friend? A donkey, a tiger, an animal: would you accept it as a friend?
But Allah: "People are My friends. I am the friend of people," He says. What does this "friend" mean? Exactly like you and me. He gave a part of His spirit. A part. What does this "part" mean? Did He create it deficient? Of course not. Not deficient. It's one to one, complete, but the deficiency is here. Allah Almighty has the universal attributes, we the partial ones. Now, from the oceans, from the Indian Ocean, the Atlantic, from any ocean, take a drop of water. One drop. Go give this drop of water to a chemist. Analyze it. It carries exactly the ocean's properties, the properties of wherever it was taken from.
It carries the same substances. The chemicals in it are the same. And we too, although we are a part from our Lord, as a part of Him, are the same in attributes too. No difference.
But He does not, like us, need a spouse.
He is complete and perfect. We... the body as a human factory; the souls created in the realm of Lahut were taken up to the realm of Barzakh. For coming into the world, Allah Almighty set up the human factory. And with a spouse we complete ourselves. Woman needs man, and man needs woman. They complete each other. But in terms of creation, in terms of appearance, the same. That's why Allah has taken man as a friend.
What are we saying here?
Yes. Since you said let's explain this part in a bit more detail. In Surah Al-Waqi'ah, verse 7, our Lord says: "And when you are in three classes; 8: those on the right, how blessed are those on the right. 9: Those on the left, how wretched they are. 10: Those foremost in good are foremost in reward," it says.
So here we split into 3 classes.
There are many more events here. The Prophet (peace be upon him), beside our Lord, addresses the people: yes, "This is our Lord, this is the one who created us." Moreover, our Lord created our souls in the twilight. The created people, in three classes; those at the very front can be seen, those at the very back can be seen too. But they can't be recognized. Here a hadith (?). Our Lord created our souls in the twilight. Upon them, it says, He scattered something of His spirit. He scattered something of His spirit. Whoever took of that light found his way. Whoever couldn't take of that light lost his way and went astray.
We said it at the Diyanet too: how do you understand it, we said. "Allah threw a ball; whoever it hit became Muslim." Come on, can Allah be like that, I said.
Directly, it's speaking of Elestü bi rabbiküm, isn't it? Allah created the souls in the twilight. Evening twilight: you look like this, there's the one in front, there's the one at the very back, they can't be seen. I see, I'm looking like this. "I am your Lord." This is His light. He scattered something. Whoever took of it found his way. Whoever said "Yes, You are my Lord" found his way. (?) lost his way and went astray. The hadith is that very thing. The adhan. It makes us call out the very Elestü bi rabbiküm. The adhan. You say Allahu akbar, Allahu akbar. Allah is great. Allah is great. La ilahe illallah, Allahu akbar, Allahu akbar, La ilahe illallah: there is no god but Allah, because He is great. There, before us, there is no creator but Him. Eşhedü enne Muhammeden Resulullah: I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger. Well, this testimony, as Islam, for you to enter Islam in the world: have you seen the Prophet at the side of Allah Almighty, that He makes you testify to him? Does Allah Almighty make you testify falsely?
Look, falsely. Would Allah make you bear witness like that? Have you seen Allah in this world, that you bear witness? Have you seen the Prophet, that you bear witness? This testimony is the testimony of Elestü bi rabbiküm. We saw there. This is testimony to what you saw. And here, testimony to an unseen realm; in an unseen realm where our Lord is not seen, we bear witness. Yes. So, Allah Almighty, the Prophet (peace be upon him) beside Him, beside Allah Almighty, while calling the adhan: I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger. So, after confirming this, it says, Hayye ale's-salâh: come to prayer, then, it says.
Prove it, it says. Prove it. Hayye ale'l-felâh. Find salvation, it says. Salvation. Again: Allahu akbar. Allahu akbar. Allah is great. La ilahe illallah. There is no god but Him. Come on. It's straight Elestü bi rabbiküm.
Yes. One who hasn't seen doesn't understand or know; he says it's the adhan, they're calling to prayer, that's all. That's why the Prophet says in a hadith: when the adhan is called, repeat it too, he says. Repeat it. Yes. This hadith describes Elestü bi rabbiküm: our Lord scattering something of His light is His word "I created you." Whoever took of it found his way. Those who said "Yes, You are my Lord", the people of the right, found their way. Those who denied, who waited for the Lord of their own imagination, the people of the left, lost their way and went astray.
Will is of two kinds. One is universal will, one is partial will. Since our Lord gave man of His spirit, with this will in our soul we had our desires and wishes written by our Lord as destiny. Yet people, although they know that our Lord made a covenant with people, that our Lord wrote man's desire and wish fully as destiny, taking away from man his own will, making our Lord's will act upon man, making our Lord discriminate among His servants by His own will, sending whom He wills to paradise and whom He wills to hell, they have ascribed attributes to our Lord. This is because they didn't understand this verse.
Our Lord made a covenant with all people one by one. Showing the times as a project to the person He made a covenant with, He leaves which time he'll go to to the person's own will. Moreover, whatever man asked of our Lord, our Lord has given man his own wish in full. The verse saying "We gave man countless provision" means whatever man asked of our Lord, without cutting short what he wanted, countlessly He gave him. They misunderstand this. "If He gave man countless provision, why did He give him trillions and not me? He gets what he wants, I can't." It's not like that. Whatever he wished there, countlessly: "what you want, what you want I will give." He shows the worlds. Allah Almighty knows his desire and wish toward these worlds.
According to the verse where He says, "We know the secrets of your hearts." He knows all the secrets of his heart, knows his feelings. When he desires, there opposite, with the book in His hand, He will write your destiny. Whatever you want, He gives you all of it, countlessly.
Neither more nor less. Why? If He gave more, you'd lose your way. If He gave less, you'd blame Allah. Whatever you wished, He gives it all. No one will be able to blame Allah. Yes. There's no one who knows these verses anyway. If they knew these, knew what they mean... The Prophet (peace be upon him) says so: "If you knew what I know," he says, "you would weep much and laugh little," he says.
So our Lord, who knows the secrets of man's heart, according to the person's desires and wishes wrote his destiny. Having had his script written at the call of Elestü bi rabbiküm, man, when he comes into the world, plays the script he had written like an actor. What kind of person he is: he makes himself a witness to himself, to those around him and before our Lord. When our Lord made a covenant with people, leaving them free in their own will, without any pressure or force, the person's thoughts toward our Lord, about our Lord, entirely, He writes for him as his destiny. So on what basis do people, ascribing attributes to our Lord among His servants, say "He left this one in error, led that one astray, sealed this one's heart, He will put whom He wills into paradise and whom He wills into hell", and with all kinds of superstitions ascribe attributes to our Lord?
Now we come to the answer to our third question. Why did He make a covenant with people? Allah Almighty is free from deficient attributes. In verse 172 of this surah, our Lord says: "Lest you say on the Day of Judgment, we were unaware of this." He made the offspring who would emerge from the children of Adam witnesses over themselves and said: I am your Lord. And they said: yes, we bear witness to this. In this yes, too, there is much meaning. If all of them had said yes, none of them would have come into the world as disbelievers. This saying of yes: in a verse, "let him say," it says. "My Beloved, don't mind their calling you a liar.
In their time," He said, "they denied Me. These are lying disbelievers," He says. So they didn't say yes. Who said the yes? This yes: because they knew they were created, the disbelievers, not recognizing Allah as Creator, and that there is no other god besides Him, or that there is a God who created them, since they know it, since He knew they would deny Allah, they too know: a God created me. A Lord created me. They say yes. That is, in their hearts: I was created. That's its meaning. That's the meaning of this yes. They misunderstand this too. So there they said yes. Here people went outside that yes and broke their covenant.
That's what's written in four verses. If only they knew how they are responsible for this Quran before Allah. Yes. These are truly absurd people. They thought they could explain the Quran by knowing Arabic.
Abraham (peace be upon him), in the fourth verse, look what Allah Almighty says. In the fourth verse. Look, we opened it with Surah Ibrahim. Look.
"So that they explain Allah's commands to them clearly, We sent every messenger only in the language of his own people," it says. I said this at the Diyanet, you know. Allah, I said, if I too were sent in your language, (?), I said.
I said this.
Yes.
Our Lord: "I am your Lord," and they said, "Yes, we bear witness to this." What did they witness? We were created, but we don't recognize You; we were created. So this yes is about being created, but denying Allah. The meaning of this yes, (?), the verse after it says this, 173. verse: or "Our fathers associated partners with Allah before, and we were a generation that came after them. We followed in their footsteps. Will You destroy us because of what (?) did?" So that you would not say this, We did it this way. That is, We made a covenant with you, says Allah Almighty. He has cut off all that people would cling to.
Yes.
We said let's explain this part a little too. This verse 173. When people come into the world, because the covenant in the realm of the hereafter was closed to them, so that, with your life in this world, saying "this is what I saw from my mother and father", you do not justify yourselves, earlier, in the realm of the hereafter, with your true being, your soul, We made a covenant. When we say soul, it's not only the spirit: spirit, nafs and life are one. The bodies are separate, the bodies. When Allah Almighty created us in the realm of Lahut, spirit, nafs and life were one. Then our body: when He created the body of our forefather Adam from clay, He said: when I breathe into it of My spirit, you shall prostrate.
When He says "of My spirit", spirit, nafs and life are one. Don't take it as only the spirit. Because spirit, nafs and life are one, in the hereafter we will have wives, we will enjoy the food we eat, we'll taste it, the nafs will take that in anyway. Life will keep you alive, and the spirit is the driver anyway, that is, the commander who directs. "With your life in this world, saying I saw it this way from my mother and father, so that you do not justify yourselves, We, in the realm of the hereafter, with your true being, your soul, made a covenant. Your true being is your soul. Your body, when We send you to the world, as an outward being, is for your appearance. So, in this outward realm, seeing yourselves in flesh and bone, and using your life in the world as an excuse, so that you would not say 'You did not convey the message to me', We paired with you at the call of Elestü bi rabbiküm.
We took you up to a realm of Barzakh. Whatever time you chose, sending you to the world at that time, to make you witness what kind of person you are, We did it this way," He says.
We've come to the fourth part. Why did our Lord, who made a covenant with people, although He knew what they were, send us to the world instead of putting us into paradise or hell there? Allah Almighty has the attribute of being Allah. Allah Almighty is free from all deficient attributes. No one will question our Lord. Is the reason that our Lord will frighten people? No. Is it that He will pressure them and use force? No. Our Lord has no need of these. He has left every person free in their own will. At the Supreme Court, by what people did, our Lord will judge people with His justice. So what is our Lord's attribute of being Allah?
Since all that people have done, an atom's weight of good, is written, and an atom's weight of evil is written, people came into the world to prove to themselves what kind of person they are. So all people, the questions they would ask our Lord, will have played out in action in this world, the outward realm, and will be cut off from asking. In the verse our Lord says: "Did you think you would be (?) without proving what kind of person you are?" He says. In Surah Ta-Ha, verse 134, our Lord explains so beautifully why He sent people to the world. "If We had destroyed them with a punishment before this, before the Quran, they would surely have said: Our Lord, if only You had sent us a messenger, and (?) abasement and disgrace, before falling into it, we had followed Your signs." So here our Lord... our Lord's attribute of being Allah is manifest.
If we explain this verse: its saying "before the Quran"... the Torah, the Psalms and the Gospel are in the Holy Quran. Since all the books are in the Quran, Allah Almighty sent His books to give people a change of life. Here, "before the Quran" means: if We, before sending people to the world, those who denied our Lord had put into hell according to the covenants they gave, they would have said: "Because I saw You like myself, I could not believe in You as my Lord." Since I gave them of My spirit, they saw Me like themselves with the attributes of essence; so that they would not say, "If You had sent me to an unseen realm where Your essence is not seen, I would have worshipped You", He created these outward realms and sent us to this realm to prove to ourselves what kind of people we are.
In Surah Al-Qasas, verse 47, it says: "When a calamity befalls them because of what they themselves did, Our Lord, if only You had sent us a messenger, so that we followed Your signs and were among the believers"; if they were not going to say that, We would not have sent you, it says. Making light of the sins people committed by their own will, saying that by our Lord's will He puts whom He wills into paradise, that is, however much a person sins, our Lord loves him and will put him in His paradise, they have brought superstitions into the Holy Quran. The verses are explicitly clear; so those who interpret the verses to suit their own minds, saying "I understood it this way, I wrote it this way", ascribing attributes to our Lord and turning verses into superstitions: did they think they would save themselves from our Lord's punishment? In this respect, interpreting verses, by interpreting them absurdly no one can ascribe attributes to our Lord, nor interpret the verses this way.
Yes, the meaning of verse 172: because they don't know this, this verse, because they don't know it, because they haven't seen that place, because it's closed. People cannot interpret these Quran verses. Because they ascribe attributes to Allah. Yes. The root of the matter rests here. What does Allah say? Until the Day of Judgment Allah will keep His light going. So how will He keep it going? Falsehood creeps in. There's a world of falsehood. Here it ties to a verse. Among them there are also two or three verses, slight ones. For example, the keys of the unseen are in Allah's hand. You cannot use the phrase "it is hoped that" for Allah.
Because Allah knows everything. He also knows what will come, all the way to the Day of Judgment. For example, it says Allah chose this one. Allah chooses no one. You would be impairing Allah's attribute of justice. Two or three verses like this. Once that's done, once you've freed it from ascribing attributes to Allah, you can interpret the verses. Yes. We end our lesson here. Stay well. Lillahi Teala El Fatiha.
Amin.
