What is said in the video
A guest says this: Hodja, peace be upon you. And upon you be peace. Some people say the house must not be swept on Friday eve, and that a ball must never be played with in the house, that it is a sin. Is that true? May Allah be pleased with you, Hodja, he says.
There is a saying the old folks used to repeat.
They cut off the head of our master Hasan Husayn and played with it as a ball. So playing ball was forbidden because of this. That superstition has carried on down to us. So they used to say ball is not played, not only at home but outside too. But this superstition is probably dying out. Since nobody knows anything about their religion, those who leave their religion through superstitions like this — well, since (?) with superstitions, words like these too are about to leave our language. But some still say, much like this, no ball games in the house. Well. If you ask why, they don't know either.
But some say you'll break the window, some say you'll knock something over and break it, not in the house. Play outside. Some say it that way too. But this is where it comes from. What does it say here about Friday eve?
It says the house is not swept on Friday eve. Now when you say Friday eve, they mean the evening of Thursday. Thursday evening. On that day, Thursday evening, at home we would usually, for our deceased relatives, our kin, the martyrs, our loved ones, the Muslim men and women, recite Surah Ya-Sin and dedicate it to their souls. Now, that custom has gone too. I mean, nobody does it anymore, very few.
That sweeping the house is, in our religion, at this place, at this time forbidden? There is no such thing as "the house is swept at such a time". Our religion is a religion of cleanliness. Well, now a plate fell and broke. The food spilled everywhere. Should it not be swept? A man came and entered his house. Not a guest, but he had gone somewhere. He came back five, ten days later. He sees he left the window open, and the wind blew dust and dirt inside. Well, should his house not be swept because it is Thursday evening, Friday eve? These are superstitious words. Yusuf The guest says: Hodja, peace be upon you, my name is Yusuf. First of all, I kiss your hands, Hodja. To overcome our nafs, you said we must first follow the path of reason, faith and inspiration. I did not say anything like that, I think; that is how you understood it.
Of course, you understood it well, but if you had no reason and no faith, and did not know your friend and your enemy, you could not struggle with your nafs. Your friends: reason, inspiration, and your faith. Your enemy: Satan. The world, (?) what is it? The nafs. The nafs.
The nafs, Hodja. The nafs is the enemy to begin with. The nafs is the enemy to begin with. He is already asking how to deal with the nafs; that is what he is saying. Now: Hodja, to overcome our nafs, we must first follow the path of reason, faith and inspiration, you had said. As someone who until now did most of what the nafs said, and who now tries to live by the truths our Lord has commanded, I am constantly wrestling with my nafs. Oh, mashallah. Look, now I am impressed.
If he is wrestling with his nafs, Satan also meddles with his nafs. (?) Don't do what Satan says either. The world also tries to pull you into the swamp. And the nafs makes the world look beautiful to you. They pull you toward a swamp. Well, I am wrestling, he says. Mashallah. I liked that. But however much I try to overcome it, this time I find myself struggling with even greater whisperings and temptations. True. You cannot overcome that nafs all at once. As you play games with it, it will play games with you. Look, I am telling you this as a piece of advice. Hold on to this advice of mine. When you keep up your worship and struggle with your nafs, when Allah Almighty is about to raise your rank, Satan and your nafs play such a game on you; to keep you from reaching that rank they work with all their strength. What you are describing to me here is the state when your rank is about to rise.
Be careful. Pay them no attention. Never fall for the temptation they offer. This must be because my faith has weakened. No. It is not because your faith has weakened. Because your rank will rise, it lays out all its games before you. It has many more games. As your ranks rise, it will lay those games out before you. Don't forget this.
It wears me out a lot, and of being defeated by my nafs again and drifting from Allah's path I am afraid. Don't be afraid. Allah Almighty created man, compared to the beings, the beings He created, very strong. Mankind is strong. His will — no power other than Allah can overcome his will, if he uses it. Because Allah gave man a (?) that He gave to no one else. He gave him a part of His spirit. Everything exists in that spirit. So never give in to what these say. Satan has no power whatsoever over man. Allah Almighty already says so in a verse. They have no power over man, He says. In another verse He says, Satan's nest (?) My servant who knows Me.
Satan's nest does not pass to My servant who knows Me, He says. Now, when I watch your past videos from the archive, my heart finds peace, he says. With your permission, I would like to be your student and ask for your help and prayers. I kiss your hands again, he says. Then come. Everyone is our child. Everyone. The door is open. It is not a must to take the hand from us. You learn the truth here as well. Try to lay the truth over falsehood. Just as people fight with falsehood and try to throw falsehood over the truth, you too, with the proofs in your hands — the proof is the verses of the Quran — with the proofs in your hands, refute their falsehoods.
Be servants to Allah and an ummah to His Beloved. Yes.
Now we come to what a poor man called a professor said carelessly.
What is this careless thing this professor said?
He addresses hundreds of thousands of people.
A child born in Israel would become a pure, true Jew. A person born in China would become a pure, true Buddhist.
I wonder, does this person called a professor know anything of the verses? If he knew the verses, he would not accuse Allah Almighty. That is: Allah sent the people He did not love to China, and they became Buddhists. Allah sent the person He did not love to Israel, and he became a Jew. And because He loved the Muslims, He said to the Muslims, "My servant".
Unaware of where their words lead, unaware of the verses, there are such poor people.
To be able to explain this, he must know of the realm of Lahut. Surah Al-A'raf, verses 172 and 173 — he must know of those verses. He must know of Surah Al-Qasas, verse 134. At the same time, Surah Al-Qasas, verse 47 — he must know of that verse as well. These are people who speak by their own reason, and who measure everything by their own mind and act by their mind, who take the crooked for straight, and try to lay the crooked, the false, over the truth; presenting himself with the title of professor, leading people's minds astray — the words of a man who will be (?) to a wrong in the sight of Allah.
What is it? One born in Israel becomes a Jew. One who is Buddhist — let me put it this way — one in China becomes a Buddhist. So, the verdict: Allah created them there because He did not love them. Well, since people outside Islam will enter hell, Allah created these for hell. That is the meaning that emerges; this poor man, unaware of what he says, unaware of the verses, ends up poisoning people.
And he also says, "Are you the one to decide that?" Are you to decide about the people He sent to those places? If you knew where these words, this verdict, lead, you would not say such words.
Now I will give you the answer to those superstitions you spoke in the light of the verses. Do you know the realm of Lahut? We will start from here. What does the realm of Lahut mean? You know, in the world people make statues; the places where those statues are made are called lahutane. And the place where Allah Almighty created our souls is the realm of Lahut. As many people as would come to the world, He created them all there. And before them He said to them, Elestü bi Rabbiküm: I am your Lord, your Lord; your Lord is Me, He said. There the Prophet, too, was beside Allah Almighty, saying, yes, this is our Lord, as one who confirms and supports — I mean, Allah does not need support in His word, but to help people there is the Prophet's address to people, saying, yes, this is our Lord, He created us.
Because (?) our Lord created the Prophet. Before the worlds were created, first his light, then He gave him of His spirit. Then from his spirit He created the souls of people. For this reason the Prophet is beside Allah Almighty.
This is our Lord, he says. There people were divided into three groups. Superstition, listen well. Open Surah Al-Waqi'ah, verse 7.
All the pairs, coming from one another, are three classes.
O people of the right, glad tidings to you.
emeh. O people of the left, woe to you. Ve's-sâbikûne's-sâbikûn. Ulâike'l-mukarrabûn. Fî cennâti'n-naîm. And a third group, the group of the foremost: the saints, the prophets, the martyrs, the witnesses — their group. Now here, after those three classes were separated, Surah Al-A'raf, verse 172 — 172 — look what it says in that verse. Let's see, let's open it, what does it say? Let's open this. Surah Al-A'raf, verse 172.
Let's read from here.
What does this mean? Ve iz ehaze: He made a covenant. min beni Adem — with Adam, with Adam — min zuhurihim: those who would emerge, who would emerge from Adam's offspring — He made a covenant with them. Ve eşhedühüm: He made them witnesses. Alâ enfüsihim: against their own selves He said, Elestü bi Rabbiküm. I am your Lord, He said. There they were divided into three classes. Then what happened? Then we come to the next verse. To verse 173. Look what Allah Almighty says. Superstition, listen well. Don't poison people under the title of professor. If I am addressing you like this as "superstition", don't let your nafs flare up into anger at me; hold it in check and stop.
Learn the truth. Wherever you see the truth, take it. If knowledge is in China, go and get it, it says. If you too are teaching the truth, (?). Look what it says now in Surah Al-A'raf, verse 173.
Or: "Before us our fathers associated partners with Allah.
We were a generation that came after them.
We followed in their footsteps. Will You destroy us because of those who wanted falsehood?" — so that you would not say that, it says. We did it this way. How did we do it? Before sending you to the world, first: your real being — soul, nafs and life — is one. Our bodies are separate. We made a covenant with your real being, it says. Our body is entrusted to us, Superstition. When we are called to account with our body, our body will testify against our soul. Look what it says in the verse: when the souls are paired, when soul and body come face to face, We will silence your mouths, bind your feet and make your hands speak, it says.
So our body itself tells Allah Almighty what the soul did. So the soul — what I am saying is verses, mind you, not from my own head — the soul says to the body: why do you bear witness against me? And the body says: my Lord, who makes me speak, makes me speak. When the talking ends, you are returned to the One who first created, it says; there the body for a second time tastes death. As in: We revive you twice and cause you to die twice. So our real being — soul, nafs and life — this time, Surah Ta-Ha, verse 134. Let's open it and see what it says there, right? Yes, Surah Ta-Ha, verse 134.
I know it by heart, but here I will tell it to you better. What does it say, look? If We had, before this — that is, before the Quran — before the Quran, what does that mean, before the Quran? Before sending our father Adam to the world, because the Torah, the Psalms and the Gospel — in the Quran, four books, the Quran — if We had destroyed them with a punishment, it says. We made a covenant with you. We also know that you are people of hell. We also know that you are people of paradise. If, before sending you to the world, We had destroyed those people of hell with a punishment, it says. If We had destroyed them. They would surely have said this, it says: "O Lord, if only You had sent us a messenger, so that we could have followed Your verses before falling into this disgrace and humiliation." What is this? Surah Ta-Ha, verse 134.
What does this mean? You saw Me here as one like yourselves. That is, Allah Almighty manifests to us in a human form, before us, saying, I created you. Here you may perhaps not have been able to believe in Me. Now I will send you to a hidden realm. That is, He creates the world. I will send you to a realm where My Being is not seen. Whatever covenant you gave Me there, however you made your covenant with Me, I have written this covenant of yours for you as your destiny. But there you will do the same deeds again, He says. In which verse does He say this? O my Lord, what does it say? Surah As-Sajdah, verse 12; He says it there.
Let's open it and see, where is As-Sajdah? I mean, Surah Al-Isra — Surah As-Sajdah, verse 12, look what it says. If only you could see when the guilty hang their heads before their Lord, saying, "Our Lord, we have seen, we have heard, we have listened; send us back to the world so we may do good deeds; now we truly believe" — if only you could see that time.
Whatever is in a person's destiny, if He sent him to the world not once but a thousand times, he would do the same deeds again. That is why, He says, even if We sent you back not once but several more times, you would do the same deeds again, He says. What is this like? I am explaining here now. If you film this as a video and show this video in ten thousand places, a hundred thousand places, you will hear the same words again. If Allah Almighty sent us not once but a thousand more times, we would act the same way again. So He clothed us in a body, created us a second time, and sent us to the world to prove what kind of people we are.
Now when I say He created us a second time, let me explain that to you too. Our first creation: soul, nafs and life. One. Then look what it says here. That part to you Surah Al-Mu'min This is Surah Al-Mu'min; then it says: We made the sperm-drop into an alaqa, a fertilized egg; then the alaqa We made into a lump of flesh. This lump of flesh We turned into bones, a skeleton. These bones We covered with flesh. Then We brought him into being as a human with another creation. Look, what does it say? Then We brought him into being as a human with another creation. Superstition, just like that, off the top of your head: no, if he is born there, a man becomes like that, if he is born here, like this.
How can you say this? Unaware of the verses, you explain Islam to these people, supposedly you explain Allah. A person feels ashamed before Allah, before the Owner of the worlds. The Owner of the worlds is such a power that He has encompassed the universe; within this universe you, billions of times smaller than a particle or a (?) — that person He put into human form, beside Allah Almighty, cannot be even such a particle. I fitted such a possessor of power into my mind: I had people born in Israel, I made them Jews. In China, well, I made them Buddhists. In the West, I made them Christians. I will explain that part to you too.
So, with man's second creation, what kind of person he is — "Did you think you would die without proving what kind of people you are?" according to the verse. In return for the covenant we gave at Alast, we came to the world, and with the manifestation of Allah Almighty's attribute of divinity — since no one can question or call Allah Almighty to account — He clothed us in flesh and bone, and sent us to the world with a second creation. Our driver is the soul, and our car is our body; wherever we drive our body, it will go that way, and we will prove what kind of people we are.
Did you know these things? No. If you knew, you would not have said that in the first place. Now, Allah Almighty classifies people according to their feelings. According to their feelings, according to the time they will come, the time they will leave. With a mindset by which an Englishman cannot get along with a Frenchman — look, by mindset. Just as a German cannot get along with an Italian, just as a Buddhist cannot get along with a Muslim, Allah Almighty — which religion they will belong to, denying Him, His Being, with which people in the world, with that mother and father, they will best fit in, and where they can prove what kind of person they are — sends a person to such an environment.
It is not that the person born there — attributing it to Allah Almighty — was born there by himself, or that Allah sent him there and so he became a Buddhist, or a Jew, or a Christian.
According to people's mindsets, an American gets along well with an American. When he gets along with his own kind, by his deeds, the sins he has committed — rewards and sins are written for him. And in the hereafter, when account is given at the great court, Allah Almighty sends that person, if he is for paradise, to paradise, if he is for hell, to hell. Are there no Muslims born in America? There are. Are there no Muslims born among Christians? There are. Well? Are there no Muslims in China? There are. Then why are they there? Now look, let me explain this to you. "I was born here, I was born in the Christian world, so I became a Christian; if I had been born in the Muslim world, I would have become a Muslim" — you won't be able to say that.
He places a Muslim's soul into a Christian's loins, a Christian's loins into a Muslim's soul. A Christian born in the Muslim world becomes a Christian when the time comes. And a Muslim born in the Christian world, when the time comes, passes over to the Muslim world and becomes a Muslim. So that you won't say: You sent me to such-and-such a place, I became a Christian there, now will You throw me into hell? Allah Almighty finished our matter at the beginning, at the beginning. Do you know that soul, nafs and life are one? He sees himself with this outward world, and whether he will be raised after death is doubtful to him.
He does not even suppose that he will be raised.
Even a Muslim today, as long as his nafs has not risen to tranquility, at times falls into doubt whether the hereafter really exists. But his faith saves him. Yes, that is why, be careful of the words you speak. When you put forward your diploma and instil superstitions into people, people say, "He is a professor, he was telling the truth" — if you brainwash people with superstitions, of this passing world — where one day of the hereafter is like a thousand years of this world — don't let a lifetime of an hour or an hour and a half in this realm fall into the realm of hell, where eternal punishment goes on.
Speak well. Speak with the verses. Our Lord, free of deficient attributes, has, through the verses, things as they are explained to us. And verses confirm verses; they do not contradict them.
When people, with the diplomas in their hands, climb to a position they have no right to, and present themselves as if they held that position, and with ignorant words cloud people's minds, then their account is left to Allah. Just as Allah Almighty says in a verse: those who, though Allah did not say it, say to people, "Allah said this", let them prepare their place in the punishment. Now you too, with this superstition you told, understand where your own place is. This is a father's advice I am giving you. Because you are still young. I am 86 years old. Let my words be an earring in your ear.
There are questions here. Let's answer the questions.
Hodja, peace be upon you. A hodja — Arabia supports America, Hodja. Arabia. A hodja says: Arabia supports America; you should not go to the Kaaba in this period, your money goes to Israel, he says. Is he right? May Allah be pleased with you, Hodja, he says. This hodja is a deviant hodja. He has denied the verse in which Allah Almighty says: there is not a single living being that will come until the Day of Judgement whose deeds I do not know; he has disparaged this verse of Allah Almighty, that is, cast it behind him. What is that verse? When you have the money, when you are of sound mind and of age, when you have found the means to go and come back, when you can leave enough money at home for the time you are away, Hajj is obligatory for you, it says.
Obligatory. As if Allah did not know that Arabia would support America, and He would have told us, then: O Muslims, when the Arabs support non-Muslims, Hajj is not obligatory for you. Is there such a verse? Is there such a sign in your religion? Is there such a sign in any other verses? If there is, show it to me. What is the obligation of saying the declaration of faith? The declaration of faith is the first condition of Islam. We will call it the first obligation. I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, and Muhammad is His servant and messenger. Did you say this? You did. What became obligatory for you?
Prayer: free. Fasting: free. Zakat: costs money; if you have money, you pay it. Hajj: costs money; if you have money, you go. These became obligatory for you. Does it say within the declaration of faith that when Arabia sides with the unbelievers you should not do business with it? That you should not go on Hajj to it? These deviants, who have mortgaged their minds to others, and those who speak with their own minds, outside the verses, those unaware of the verses — do not believe their words.
Hodja, peace be upon you. As I understand it, since the covenant we gave will not change, the prayers we make for ourselves or for someone else, both with our own covenant and the prayer (?) it disappeared.
Here there is something long. The text is gone.
Please do not send messages before I finish speaking. The messages fly off here. Then I have to search for them. And send them after I have finished speaking. Hodja, peace be upon you. As I understand it, since the covenant we gave will not change, the prayers we make for ourselves or for someone else — what is their relation both to our own covenant and to the covenant of the person we pray for? I kiss your hands, he says. Now, Allah Almighty says in a verse: If it were not for your prayers, what would We do with you, He says. So we will pray. La gaybi illallah. Allah knows the unseen. Out of our faith, we prayed for Ahmet, for Mehmet.
Let's say Ahmet and Mehmet are disbelievers. He will go as a disbeliever. Since you don't know the unseen, your prayer doesn't reach him. And he is a disbeliever. And Allah Almighty — when you go to the hereafter, you see that many rewards appear before you. My Allah, what is this? At that time, for yourself — since it was outside your destiny, since it was outside your destiny, and since I will accept all prayers — your prayer that was outside your destiny I did not grant in the world. And since you came to this realm with your patience, I am giving you these rewards in recompense, He says. Because you waited. Your prayer was not answered, you didn't get its return, because it was outside your destiny. But your prayer is not wasted.
Pray even for a disbeliever — but look, you don't know. You don't know he is a disbeliever. Pray even for a disbeliever — now when I say this, look, someone will say, "the man says pray for disbelievers". Listen to my words carefully. You pray for a disbeliever that he be reformed. But you cannot know that a "Muslim" is a disbeliever. You pray for him because you think he is a Muslim. But the person is a disbeliever. Then that prayer does not reach that person. In the hereafter, since you did not see the return of your prayer in that person, because you were patient, Allah Almighty writes a reward for you.
A reward. That is why we will not fall short in prayer; we will pray. If it is within our destiny, our Lord will give us the return of our prayers. If it is outside our destiny, we will be patient. Allah Almighty will raise our rank in the hereafter because of our patience. Yes.
Yes.
Yes, these are done. Now we come to our lesson. We left off at Surah Al-Mu'min, verse 10.
If you have a question and it isn't showing here, is anyone watching the phone? If there is a question there, tell me. Sometimes it doesn't come through here. I have to refresh this. Yes.
In Surah Al-Mu'min, verse 10, the verse that has been wrongly translated: "Those who disbelieve will be called out to: Allah's wrath is surely greater than your evil against yourselves. For you were being invited to faith, but you were disbelieving," it says.
"Allah's wrath is surely greater than your evil against yourselves." It makes Allah such a being of wrath that, beyond the sin a person has committed, Allah Almighty is wrathful toward people. Show me such a verse and I will give you my head, I will sacrifice my life.
Because in His verses, Allah has justice. Unerring justice. You have done away with it, man. You have done away with Allah's unerring justice. Or did I misunderstand? "Those who disbelieve will be called out to: Allah's wrath is surely greater than your evil against yourselves," it says. Let's say I did my own evil with a strength of fifty; Allah's wrath against me is with a strength of a hundred. Is that so? Where is Allah's justice here? They have already translated a verse like this: He will multiply the sins you have committed many times over, it says. In the verse it says exactly this: Allah multiplies rewards many times over, and for the sins you have committed He gives sin one for one, it says.
But He adds up the sins you have committed. They turned adding up the sins into multiplying them many times over. Look. What will become of it when these people translate a verse? They know nothing of the verses. If they feared Allah Almighty, if they feared Allah Almighty's punishment, if they had decided with certainty that paradise and hell exist, and worried how they would answer when raised in the hereafter before Allah — if they had this fear, they would refrain from translating verses this way, and they would tremble. Tremble with fear. Hodja, don't you tremble yourself?
I write nothing from my own head. If I wrote from my own head, I would tremble. Whatever comes to my heart — to my heart, according to the verse "To whomever We give knowledge, We give wisdom". What comes to my heart I first filter through my mind, then give it to my tongue and send it out. Otherwise I do not say everything that comes to the heart. What comes to my heart I first compare with the verses before giving it to my tongue. If it is right, I give it to my tongue and explain it to you, under the verses.
Of course I am very much afraid too. But I take refuge in Allah. I explain the truth as best I can.
There is also this, let me explain that too.
When We give a duty to a person, when the person We have given a duty explains to people, even if he explains it incompletely, We inspire the truth into the hearts of those who listen, it says. We take refuge in this.
But we do not translate the verses as superstition like this, mind you. Superstition. Look, these translate it to all people as superstition.
Whereas: "Those who disbelieve will be called out to: "Because of your disbelief, the evil you have committed — its recompense is, in truth, greater with Allah." The evil is greater with Allah. Not that Allah's wrath is greater than the evil people have done.
But Allah Almighty will give you in full the punishments for what you have done, it says. That is justice. "For you were being invited to faith, but you were disbelieving." Now where is the attributing of things to Allah? Where here is the fact that man is responsible to Allah Almighty by his own will, and that for the deeds he has done he is called to account with complete justice, with Allah's justice?
Shamelessly they accuse Allah Almighty of injustice. They fit Allah Almighty into their own measure — just as a person gets angry with a person and inflicts on him more than the wrong he did, more than his own anger — the same. Well, when they write it like this, if it says Allah's wrath is above what you did, doesn't Allah tell us in this verse of His: Retaliation: an eye for an eye, a nose for an ear, an ear, a nose for a nose, a tooth for a tooth, it says. Where did you put this verse, where did you remove it to? Where did you remove retaliation to?
The part written wrongly in this verse is this: "Allah's wrath is surely greater than your evil against yourselves." The correct one: the recompense of the evil you have committed because of your disbelief is, in truth, greater with Allah. But Allah Almighty will give you in full the punishments for what you have done.
Why is the wrath for the evil they have done greater with Allah? People's wrath is great with Allah — of the evil they have done. If a person is going to become a Muslim — these are two-legged taghuts. Satan is called a taghut, and one who is such an enemy of Islam (?) is also called a taghut. They work to turn people away from their path. They try to stop them. Just as when they enter hell, in hell those who followed these taghuts say, "We followed you; can you now lighten a little the (?) upon us?" Those who followed the taghuts — they too will say: I have no authority over you. You were even more rebellious than us.
We told you, right beside you, and you did the same thing, it says. Satan too says the same to them. Yes. Allah's wrath is of course great, but the verse has been translated wrongly. It is said like this: "Allah's wrath is surely greater than your evil against yourselves" — but the correct translation of the verse is this: "The recompense of the evil you have committed because of your disbelief is, in truth, greater with Allah." The meaning here: the recompense of what you did is not a sin to be forgiven; but since I have made paradise and hell eternal, the punishment I will give you is that you remain in hell forever.
If we pay attention to the rest of the verse, it says: "For you were being invited to faith, but you were disbelieving." So the recompense of their ungrateful behaviour like this is a punishment. For denying our Lord the Creator, (?), their sins are of course greater with our Lord.
In Surah Al-Mu'min, verse 15, the verse translated wrongly (?) you will read. "Allah, Raiser of ranks, Owner of the Throne." Correct.
"To warn of the Day of Meeting, He sends down revelation concerning His will to whomever He wills of His servants." There is the superstition itself.
Allah sends down revelation concerning His will to whomever He wills. Well, doesn't the one above say the same? Allah's wrath is greater. It made His own will be used over man. Here too it again makes His own will be used over man. Here what Allah wills happens. Like this. Will is of two kinds: the universal will and the partial will. Why did Allah Almighty give people the partial will? He wrote for man, as his destiny, all his wishes by his own desire and wish. And by the rewards and sins of the deeds man does by his own will, by his nearness to and distance from Allah Almighty — by man making his own decision himself, Allah created man at the summit of His power of creation.
Yes. If only they could know these things.
Here the part translated wrongly is this: "He sends down revelation concerning His will to whomever He wills of His servants." The correct one: "To whoever of His servants wills by their own will, their Lord makes His command known."
Yes.
We have written in many verses that our Lord has no willing over people. Since willing recurs in the Quran, we also put the footnotes we have written about willing repeatedly. In this verse, too, we wrote that our Lord has no willing over people, that every soul made a covenant with our Lord, and that people's wishes and desires were written for them as destiny and that this will never change, and so that our Lord has no willing over people. It has been explained in broad detail in Surah Al-A'raf, verse 172. There: why were we created? Where were we created? Why did He make a covenant with people, and although He knew what we would do, why did He send us to the world? You can get information there.
We said. We left off at Surah Al-Mu'min, verse 28.
If Allah grants it, next week I will try to explain this to you. Page 334, Surah Al-Mu'min, verse 28. Now there is one more question here. (?) Hodja, I had one more question. Our neighbour's cat had run away from home. They run away. Cats have a streak that gets roused.
Whether the cat is male or female, it runs away.
Our neighbour came and together we searched the roof of our house, but we couldn't find it. I think the cat had run away several times, because they had come to look several times. But today we found the cat dead in the room on the roof. I think it got in there and we closed the door on it without noticing. Should we tell our neighbour about this? We're afraid that if we tell them, they will be very upset. Because they have children. And if we don't tell, we're afraid they will wonder about that cat all their lives. What should we do? May Allah be pleased with you, Hodja, he says. There is nothing you could do.
You looked and didn't find it. You can't leave the roof open either. Because it is the roof door. So, neighbours: although we couldn't see the cat, through the roof's door, wherever it got onto the roof, this cat died here. We were curious like you, we went up and looked, and found the cat dead here. So that you won't spend a lifetime wondering where this cat went: this is the state of death. The cat has a number of breaths, and we have a number of breaths too. We are mortal in this world. Its death was like that; how ours will be, we don't know. Still, it went without accident or calamity. What if a car hits us, or we fall off a cliff, or a house collapses on us, (?) — what will become of us?
Let us say that, and thank Allah. That is why we thought we should let you know. You tell it like that, nicely, with advice. There is no other way out.
If Allah grants it, we will continue our lesson next week. What did we say? Surah Al-Mu'min, verse 28, page 334.
I am a bit unwell, so there is a cough too. We end our lesson here. Stay well. May you be in Allah's care. Lillahi Teâlâ el-Fâtiha.
Amin.
