Explanation
What is said in the video
Yes, now our child Aycanur here is saying something, but no sound goes from here to there anyway. It doesn't light up either. This is broken.
Kids, it's probably broken. Who is looking after this?
I changed its battery. (?)
I changed it. It still didn't work.
Look over here. See, it doesn't light up. It doesn't light up. Look, there were batteries here. From there, who took the batteries? There were two batteries here.
One small, one big. Put the big one in place of the small one and the small one in place of the big one.
Look, it doesn't light up.
Is it okay? Is it (?)? Okay.
so we've covered that, which means there are written ones after this. Peace be upon you, Hodja. Real estate (?). Now it starts from here. Bayramiye says: Peace be upon you, sir. A friend of mine, while passing the place where the people of Lot were destroyed, the people with him wanted to drink water. He said: Don't drink water from this. He said: The people of Lot were destroyed here.
If fatwas are given according to people's own reasoning, people end up (?) with superstitions. And they like that, too. The people of Lot were destroyed here. I won't eat anything or drink anything here.
Well, the people of Thamud were also destroyed on earth. The people of Noah were also destroyed.
The others, Pharaoh's people, were also destroyed too. Now then, shall we neither eat food nor drink water from the places that were destroyed? People say things according to their own reasoning. Allah Almighty has made the earth clean. Look what the verse says. (?) the time has come. Lay out your prayer mat there. First, it says, search for the qibla. If you cannot find the qibla by sight, every side is Allah's direction, it (?). Perform your prayer. And the time is passing. Say we are there, at the place of the people of Lot. Shall we not pray? Say a man there is dying of thirst. I'm going to put a drop of Zamzam water in his mouth.
Shall we not give it? All of these are people going beyond the proper degree, being more royalist than the king, and even words they say to people who have an inferiority complex, to make themselves look superior among those people, words they say, made-up words. Cite a verse, cite a hadith. The people of Lot were destroyed there. Don't drink water from there.
Well then, in Noah's flood the whole world was under water. Don't eat or drink anything from the world.
Amazing.
Let me tell you something. Make this your motto.
To be free of these superstitions, to live Islam well, learn the verses well. Hadiths: if they agree with the verses, (?) a hadith. If it does not agree with a verse, or even changes a meaning, it is not a hadith. Because Allah Almighty revealed, for the Prophet (peace be upon him), the verse "He does not speak idly." If he does not speak idly, if he came as a mercy to the worlds, and mâ erselnâke illâ rahmeten li'l- âlemîn. In this case, people, under the name of hadith, with words that non-Muslims slipped in to corrupt the hadiths, a person says this is a hadith, and believes in the hadith. And he knows nothing of the verse.
In this case the person has fallen for superstitions, and on empty words rulings were laid down.
You must always have proof in hand.
Look, they said don't drink water at the place of the people of Lot; I explained the matter to you with verses and comparisons. If you can't show a verse for things that happen, you'll have spoken superstition. When you stand before a judge, if you have no proof in hand, he won't listen to you. But if you have proof and you are right, he'll rule in your favour. Even if you are right, if you have no proof he won't take you seriously. So first we will learn the verses. We will learn the verses of the Quran. After that we'll be free of these superstitions. Allah sent us our book. Our book is the Holy Quran.
But which Muslim in these times opens the Holy Quran and reads it, wondering: what is my Lord telling me here?
Past a Muslim — or let me put it this way. Those who pass by a Muslim who lives Islam, saying "I am a Muslim", these Muslims can't even brush past the person who lives that Muslim life. That's how far they have moved away from Islam by now. People have stripped naked. There is neither decency nor manners. Neither respect nor reverence. People have broken loose and are going about unchecked.
When it comes to words, they say "I am a Muslim", but they are ashamed even of that. Yes. They say civilisation; in civilisation there is free living. But you — Allah created us free. We will live free. This freedom does not mean stripping stark naked. In fact, people who live this way have surrendered themselves to others, people who have become their slaves. The man is like that, and his wife and daughter are like that too. These days you very rarely find decent, well-mannered people.
Those who seek honour and dignity should seek honour and dignity with Allah. This is the verse. Those who seek honour and dignity, it says: honour and dignity go back to Allah.
As human beings we were created more honourable than all the worlds. The reason for our honourable creation is that our Lord created us by giving a part from His essence, a part from His spirit. Only human beings have a spirit. No other creature has one. But these (?), to look good to people, put a spirit into cats, dogs and (?). They put it in. Well, now I ask him. You put a spirit into cats, dogs, some creatures.
Allah Almighty says: to man I gave of My spirit. Prostration to Adam — after I have given of My spirit, you will prostrate to him, He says. Look what He says: I gave of My spirit. To whom? To Adam. You will prostrate to him. He doesn't do it before giving the spirit. So now leave cats and dogs aside. He who creates from nothing in nature does not have them prostrate to Adam, whom He created from earth. When I give of My spirit, you will prostrate, He says.
Satan does not prostrate; he is cursed. If cats and dogs have a spirit too, then people would have to prostrate to some of them. Or some of the angels would have to prostrate to them too. Of course — since they prostrated to the spirit, the angels would have to prostrate to them too. All of this is superstition. Without knowledge, people put their finger on such a place that they throw themselves into the fire. They are not aware of it. In this case man was created very honourable, addressed by the essence of Allah Almighty. Apart from man there is no being that is addressed by Allah.
Prove it, Hodja. With evidence. (?) Will is of two kinds. One is universal will, the other is partial will. Universal will: Allah Almighty created what He created. In verse 172 of Surah Al-A'raf: We, the children of Adam — We made a covenant with the descendants who would emerge from the children of Adam. We said: We are your Lord, He says. In this case, when Allah Almighty made the covenant with man, man's desire and wish, by his own partial will, became his destiny. Whatever that person wished from our Lord, Allah Almighty gave him his wish in full and took him as one He addresses. With the deeds we did in the world, with the (?) we committed, with sins, tomorrow at the Great Court we will give account to Allah Almighty.
So the spirit is only in man, and human beings are very honourable. Human beings were created in a state of being addressed by Allah. He was a hidden treasure; He willed to be known. From His light He created these worlds, and from His spirit the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). From his spirit He created the prophets, and from the prophets' spirits the spirits of their peoples. And these worlds were created for man.
In this case man forgot his own honour and dignity. Man's honour and dignity are his chastity, his word, his truthfulness, his judging with justice.
In this case, among people there is lying, there is fraud, there are those who have set their eyes on the world and don't recognise their father and mother, these have spread everywhere. Is this now the honourably created human? I say these are like the four-legged ones roaming the earth. I'm not saying it, Allah says it: they are like the four-legged ones roaming the earth, even more astray, He says. Because Allah created the animal for the duty it is to do; it does that duty. But man, despite being created honourable, doesn't use his reason, sinks lower than the animals, and does even worse things. Today LGBT or whatever, (?), the people of the nation of Lot that was destroyed — the world is now running after them.
To cut off the generations.
In this case, aren't people even lower than animals? There are birds that live with a single mate.
Animals, to reproduce their own line, to do their duty, have tasks to do according to their own programme. But the animal — man has programmed himself by his own will, and they have become like the four-legged ones roaming the earth, and even lower.
There is no fault in a comparison.
I always say it; let me say it once more. Eight or ten male dogs after one female dog.
This animal will do its duty. Now the woman has stripped stark naked. And so many men after her. This one harasses that one. That one harasses this one. Like animals fighting. In the same way. This one kills that one. That one kills this one. Everything is covered in blood.
In this case, what is the difference between such people and animals? The man has lost his manhood, the woman has left her womanhood, and then they'll say "I am a Muslim". That is not a Muslim. A Muslim is one who knows his Allah, who goes straight along the straight path, who does not deviate from justice, who does not lie, who guards everyone's right like his own right.
Yes.
No. Supposedly he won't drink water. The people of Lot were destroyed there, so he won't drink water. (?) and so on. Everyone says something. And people like it.
These glasses don't show anything any more. These glasses have had it too. Yes. And a cataract is coming in my eye. God willing it'll be fine. Peace be upon you, sir. When our spirits were created in the realm of Lahut, were our spirits created as male and female? Or were their sexes determined later according to the people's wishes? May Allah be pleased with you, I kiss (?), he says.
A man is walking in the desert. In the desert. His provisions have run out. He is out of water. He has started seeing mirages.
He needs water. While he needs food, he has gone off playing football. The question he asks — learn your religion and then come and ask this.
What shall I tell you here?
But let me tell you just this much, and then you understand what it is. These matters are beyond you, and beyond Ahmet and Mehmet too. Allah Almighty created our father Adam from clay and breathed into him of His spirit. He is male, isn't he? Male.
And from his left rib He created our mother Eve. A man's left ribs are one fewer than the right. That is why men are managers and rulers over women. And since He breathed into her too, it means her spirit was also created female. She became female.
What use are such questions to you? He became male, she became female. What did you understand from that? Ask something good and we'll explain.
Yes. This one became female, that one became male. Yes.
I think we said this last week. Peace be upon you, Hodja, he says. Is there a place called Mount Qaf? No, it's an expression used figuratively. That is, it means a place that far away. They talk about it being a mountain encircling the earth, and behind it different creatures in different dimensions. Is that true? Then let them prove it's true, of course. If it encircles the world, let them prove that.
If Dhul-Qarnayn joined two mountains together and, sir, melted iron and poured copper on top of it, (?) — there, it says, Gog and Magog. If he shut them in there, that people, is that what they call Mount Qaf there?
Yes. Anyway, when it says different creatures were created, they probably say that's Qaf too, they probably fold that into it. And they point to Mount Qaf there too.
Today every corner of the world is like the palm of your hand. One is the North Pole, one is the South Pole. From north to south, everywhere surrounded by seas, by oceans, with land masses — every place known to the millimetre. Now where are you looking for Mount Qaf? Whose (?) words are you believing? That it encircles the world, that there are many different creatures.
Knowledge is knowing knowledge, he says. Knowledge is knowing yourself. If you don't know yourself, what kind of knowledge is this, he says.
It's said there is a mountain encircling the earth and behind it, in different dimensions, different creatures. Gentlemen, does the world have different dimensions? There are parallels and meridians. With them, wherever in the world you are, they find you right away by those.
Allah, Allah. Ignorance itself.
The revered Muhyiddin Arabi speaks of these dimensions in his books. That's why I asked. May Allah be pleased with you. Now you explain to me the dimensions of that book. How did this blessed man write it? Of course. If you go by that, Piri Reis too, without ever seeing it, made the map of the world. That's so. Piri Reis — with an inner word, with an inner event, every word that is said, if you fit it to your own head, or if people fit it to their own heads, people whose store holds 100 grams cannot grasp a store of 500 grams, they cannot understand it. So they make things up according to their own heads.
Read me his book. Sometimes they also alter books and rewrite them. Yes.
Erzendurye says: Hodja, may Allah give you health and long life. Amin. To all of us. How will we recognise the great person who will come after you? Is he in Turkey, will we be able to follow him? I'm curious. May Allah be pleased with you, he says. Ha. Let me tell you something. Our words are all the words of the old (?) or of the scholars. The same path. The path is the same. When John (peace be upon him) was in prison, they say to him: someone who speaks like you has come. Praise be to Allah, my namesake has come, he says. About Jesus. Once I too have passed on to the hereafter, if you see someone who speaks like me, that's it.
You follow him.
Ramazan (?) says: the remaining questions will be explained next week, he says. Where is there such a thing? Which ones are those? The questions?
They were left up above, sir. Left up above. Which ones are they, can you see? Let's see. Here. This one, for example, asks about real estate. We covered those, going down.
We covered all of these from top to bottom. A week later, is it this one? Sir, page 532, Surah Ar-Rahman. Verse 46.
On page 532, Surah Ar-Rahman, verse 46 says: for those who fear standing before my Lord there is one of two paradises, it decrees. Who is meant here — people of what rank, and which paradises? I kiss your hands. Now, when? 42.
42. So it says, by your Lord, which of your Lord's blessings do you deny? Can you deny, it says.
For those who fear standing before their Lord there is one of two paradises. Let's read from a little before. Now: which of your Lord's blessings can you deny? Now their state belongs to Allah. We cannot decide that this one goes to this paradise, that one to that one.
Allah, the Judge of judges, according to his state — these two paradises He speaks of: there are the Gardens of Eden beneath which rivers flow. And there is the Garden of Naim. One of these two paradises. One of those two paradises — according to his rank He will send him either there or here. That depends on Allah's decision. I cannot decide in Allah's place. But it tells you. One of two paradises — it speaks of His righteous servants. Righteous servants. That is, the prophets.
And how do we pray? O my Lord, join us too among the righteous servants. We are gathered with them. That is, you ask for the high rank of paradise. Yes. Is there anything else there after that? No. We don't talk fantasy.
In the realm of the hereafter, deciding belongs to Allah alone. That's why the decision Allah will make — Allah, who knows the secrets of people's hearts, Allah, who knows what their ranks are, Allah will decide. When it says one of those two paradises, we would have to know those people's ranks and say accordingly: that one here, this one there. That is impossible. And whoever answers this is a deviant. If it can be answered at all, in this case the answer to it belongs to Allah alone. No one can tell in Allah's place.
Anything else there? No, sir. There was a question here.
Peace be upon you, Hodja. Verse 19 of Surah Yunus and Surah Ta-Ha, which you constantly mention in your talks, verse 140 — can we say there is a closeness of meaning between them, he says. Surah Yunus, verse 19: mankind was only one single community, then they fell into disagreement. Now, the meaning here is deep; to understand it one needs to have a great deal of knowledge, but as far as I can, I'll try to explain it to you. Now, mankind was only one single community; the literalists take this from our forefather Adam: it was one single community, then they fell into disagreement, it says.
What else could it be here? That's what they can't know. This is an inner realm. Allah Almighty created us in the realm of Lahut. Spirit, nafs and life are one. Our bodies are separate. He created the bodies in a second creation. In this case, at first we were one single community. That is, spirit, nafs and life.
Then He gives of His spirit to the Prophet (peace be upon him). One single community. Spirit. The Prophet (peace be upon him). From his spirit He creates the spirits of the prophets. And from His prophets' spirits He creates their peoples.
Now where is the one single community here? Being created from the Prophet. And Allah Almighty giving the Prophet a part of His spirit goes all the way back to the divine essence. These are heavy matters. Not everyone can bear this.
Let's come to falling into disagreement. We left you free with your own will, and We said to you: We are your Lord. Where? In the realm of Lahut. There we were divided into three groups. In verse 7 of Surah Al-Waqi'ah. Ve kuntum ezvâcen selâseh. (?) Fe ashâbu'l-meymeneti mâ ashâbu'l-meymeneh. O people of the right, glad tidings to you. Ve ashâbu'l-meş'emeti mâ ashâbu'l-meş'emeh. O people of the left, woe to you. Ve's-sâbikûne's-sâbikûn. Ulâike'l-mukarrabûn. Fî cennâti'n-naîm. Look: the Garden of Naim. The groups of the foremost. The group of saints, of prophets, of martyrs, of witnesses. Now, there we were divided into three classes.
Look where we have come here from one single community. Where we went. After that we made the covenant. When we made the covenant, by his own wish and desire a person became either an unbeliever or a Muslim. The will was in man himself. As he said, very deeply, this now goes to Surah Ta-Ha, verse 134, here. What does it say in verse 134? Before the Quran. That is, when it says before the Quran: the Torah, the Psalms and the Gospel in the Quran. That is, before We sent our father Adam, our forefather Adam, to the world, first We made a covenant with you. You are for paradise, and you are for hell.
Had I destroyed you with a punishment, He says, that is, had I thrown you into hell and burned you, you would have said this, He says: if you had sent me prophets and books, into this lowly disgrace I would not fall — had you not said that, He says, I would not have sent you to the world. There is another secret here too. Because Allah Almighty created man like His essence, He gave of His spirit. When man saw our Lord in the realm of Lahut in the same human form, he could not believe in Allah Almighty. Yet Allah Almighty is free of deficient attributes. He makes this verse manifest. So that you won't say: I saw you as like me, so I couldn't believe in you.
If you had sent me to a hidden realm, look how I would have worshipped you there. Now, here's your challenge. A hidden realm. Ha. Yes.
if a word from your Lord about postponing the punishment, an eternal decree, had not gone before — what does it say here — what you have done, this, sir, against the punishment, against filth, if Our punishment were not delayed — where does Allah tie the punishment here? To the lifespan. He has given you a lifespan; within this lifespan you will prove yourself.
If, regarding postponing the punishment — that is, for a lifetime — you keep on tormenting, destroying people, sir, striking, breaking, robbing, I would destroy you at once. If, for the mistakes you have made — this verse now supports that — you were destroyed at once, you would not find a single living thing walking the earth.
had a word from your Lord about postponing the punishment, an eternal decree, not gone before, judgement would at once have been passed between them on what they disagreed about, the punishment would come down immediately and finish them. Any other question here? No. Let's refresh this, let's see; when it's refreshed it comes from here. It isn't loading its map.
Wait, let's see. There are more. There are some below. Yes. Here. Hodja, a text like this appeared on the internet as a hadith. I wonder, is it true? he says. When you are treated in a way you don't deserve, don't forget: that person will not die before knowing your worth. Is it a hadith? It is not a hadith. No one can know anyone's destiny. Destiny belongs to Allah. A person cannot know even his own destiny. He cannot know what will happen a second later. So how would I know your worth? But there is a hadith like this. Do not make istihza of anyone, it says. Istihza — that is, do not mock. It may be that that people is better than you.
You may see that he later becomes a finer person. If this is said in place of that hadith, it is said incompletely. The original of the hadith is as I said. Yes.
What other people are there? Those who die without knowing your worth. Yes. I guess nobody else is asking a question. No, sir. and we say to them: books — search through them, the deepest books, the Sufi books, from the verses, ask whatever you want and we'll explain. We don't tell superstitions; we support verses with verses. Whether the words that are said are hadith or not, we tell what they stand against and for. We tell the original of it. Yes.
Do you have a question?
Go ahead.
Read it, let's see. Hodja, some of the old questions here have been (?). Read from here, read, you'll go down.
A student, a guest. Peace be upon you, Hodja. I gave my wife her 200-gram mahr. I understood that this now becomes her own property. My wife has no other income. Does she need to pay zakat on her mahr every year?
Hodja, I gave my wife her 200-gram mahr. What did you give? Did you give silver? Did you give gold? What did you give? Specify that. If you gave gold, the mahr belongs directly to the woman herself.
If the woman wishes, she entrusts it to her husband. He puts it to work. If she wishes, she gives it away. If she wishes, she doesn't give it at all. Because that is the woman's right; by Allah's command, when marrying, a mahr is set for her.
In this case, if it's 200 grams of gold, up to 82 grams of gold Allah Almighty grants to her. Some say 83, some say 89, and some say 92. In my view, they're stingy, that's why they don't want to give.
We will turn to taqwa. They ask the Prophet: where is taqwa? it says. He strikes his chest like this three times. Taqwa is here. Taqwa means avoiding doubtful things. And always finding what is right. Above 82 grams, for every 40 grams, for every 40 grams he will give 1 gram. Whatever 1 gram of gold is worth. Or he'll calculate it like this, by way of taqwa: what is 200 grams of gold worth? Today is it 60 thousand lira? Is it 600 thousand lira? 60 grams of gold. Calculate it at 300 lira. 200 grams of gold.
What does it come to?
Six hundred lira?
Fifteen thousand lira. One fortieth is fifteen thousand lira. One fortieth? Fifteen thousand lira. Fifteen thousand lira. From six hundred thousand lira. He'll pay fifteen thousand lira in money. Now, I gave the lady her right of mahr. She has no money. She doesn't work. Let's not say she has no money. She gave her (?) to her son. Her pension. she herself has no money. Her mahr, I (?). Then her husband pays that too. Right? Sir, where was that? Give it to me, let me see.
And the 15 thousand lira the husband pays. What is it?
The internet didn't connect either. Is it live? It's not connecting here. here, let me see, open it again — are you reading it here? I gave her 200-gram mahr, this now becomes her own property, I understood — he's right. My wife has no other income. Does she need to pay zakat on her mahr every year? He'll pay it nicely, so that if you don't want it to run out, you pay it, 15 thousand lira. Yes. Shall we leave this now? Leave it. Anything else here?
It's coming down here.
No, there's nothing else. Here. Hodja, there are these, but has the question been answered, has it been answered? Let me look, I'll remember. A friend of ours asked: why is the recitation in prayer read standing, not in bowing or prostration? May Allah be pleased with you. We read this. We explained that. Peace be upon you, Hodja. Are New Year celebrations permissible for a Muslim? Hodja, I kiss your hands. We explained this too. Yes. New Year — they busy themselves with filth, calling it the birth of Jesus. The birth of Jesus, December 23rd. Some say the 27th. They make it up. Allah knows best what is true.
Sir, there is no filth they don't do in the name of New Year. Our New Year is the Hijri New Year. The Prophet's emigration from Mecca the Honoured to Medina the Illuminated — that is our Hijri New Year. This (?) — the filth of non-Muslims, how eagerly they imitate it and put it into practice. Casting behind them the verse "whoever imitates them is like them", disregarding Allah's verse, following the desires of the nafs, they celebrate New Year.
In this case they will never get out of their tight spot. he cannot escape distress and unrest.
His enemy takes him and ruins him. What is his enemy? The world. He has set his eyes on the world. It will take him. Does he have another enemy? How could he not? His nafs is his enemy. It drags him to things that cannot be. Does he have another enemy? He does, doesn't he, Atilla? Satan. Could there be a greater enemy than that? He has three enemies. Man also has three friends. One is his reason. One is his faith. And one is the inspiration Allah Almighty gives to his heart against Satan's temptation. Now, should he side with his friend or with his enemy? Go ahead.
Hodja, similar to Derya Hanım's question but different: when people buy a house or a car or have children, shedding blood to (?) accidents and misfortunes. We explained this. On the internet, to a debate between two hodjas, (?) (?). The subject went to Surah Ta-Ha, verse 5. While mostly all the issues were the same, the meaning you gave to the verse was different from the others. I thought if they read your translation, they would stop arguing. Because the hodjas' efforts to fit it to the hadiths and the verse drove them deeper and deeper into crisis. Hodja, why didn't you include this verse among the wrongly explained verses?
May Allah be pleased with you. What is this? Let's see which verse it is. Verse 5 of Surah Ta-Ha. How is it, let's see, what is it?
look
there's probably a question here. Peace be upon you, sir. Surah Al-Baqarah, verse 61: in the verse, a second reason is given for the Children of Israel incurring wrath. Yes, correct. The verse, reading it from the translation: is it because of what they said to Moses (peace be upon him), or because of killing their prophets, which is written later in the verse — which of the two, it isn't fully clear. Logically I think both are a reason for their meeting this punishment, but still, in the translation, in understanding it, I perceived there to be a discrepancy. Could you look at it, he says. Now look, the truth of the matter is: as if Allah Almighty, by what people did in the world, in the hereafter, as if He didn't know what kind of person he was.
Here it is understood as if He cursed him for what he did in the world. We said it: Surah Al-A'raf, verse 172, the verse, "ve iz ehaze", it says. He made a covenant. Rabbüke min benî Âdeme. He made a covenant from Adam. Zuhûrihim — with those who would emerge from Adam's descendants He made a covenant. What does it say? Now look, let's read it there. Ve iz ehaze rabbüke min benî Âdeme min zuhûrihim. With those who would emerge from Adam's descendants. Ve eşhedehum — He took them as witnesses. Enfusihim. Against their nafs: elestü bi rabbiküm. I am your Lord, He said. And there, the curse that people gave by their own will, according to their wishes and desires — they received it there.
And with the deeds they did in the world, He says, We hung the curse around their necks. Yes. Otherwise, if you compare Allah to man, by the deeds people do, you'll be badly mistaken. It happened beforehand and is finished. All events happened beforehand and are finished. For example, they say Gabriel came to our mother Mary. It's not Gabriel there; it says the spirit, the holy spirit. Poor people who don't even know who the Spirit is. Allah says He will grant you a son; I'm a virgin, how can this be, without a man (?) me. This happened beforehand and is finished.
All events — there is not a single living being to come until the Day of Judgement whose deeds we do not know, according to the verse. They had not announced it beforehand.
Allah Almighty even says this: The leaves of all the trees until the Day of Judgement do not stir without My permission, He says. (?) the leaves of the trees.
He has programmed everything. He wrote it beforehand, laid it out, and it's finished. He created these worlds accordingly. With Me there is a book (?), He says. It is preserved in the Preserved Tablet. And after that (?). It's finished. Everything is set. So you cannot tie these matters to this world.
Which verse was it? 61.
Once you said: O Moses, we cannot bear one kind of food. (?) some of them asked for the onions and garlic that the earth grows. He said: what you want, he said, is found among that people, he said, but you'll go against Allah, he said. This is what it tells. We cannot bear one kind of food, one kind of food. So pray to your Lord for us, that He bring forth from what the earth grows, its vegetables, its (?), its garlic, its lentils, its onions, you said. And Moses: that which is better, for what is lower do you exchange it? Then go down to a town; surely in that region there is what you want, he said.
Humiliation and poverty were laid upon them, and they incurred wrath from Allah. When they went there, just as Allah Almighty turned the form of the Sabbath people into apes, He gave them such wounds and sores too, and they perished there. This has nothing to do with Surah Ta-Ha's 134th verse, with being cursed. Sir, for example, everyone who was destroyed: the people of Thamud, the people of Salih, the people of Lot — now destroyed. Will you compare it with them? That is, will you compare the being cursed? The cursing is at the place where everyone gave their covenant to Allah Almighty. That is finished. In the world he acts in the same way that deserves the curse.
What does he do? He kills his prophet.
He commits oppression. For example, Zechariah (peace be upon him), going to rescue John, his son, in the prison, goes inside a tree trunk. And the Jews see him there, going inside the trunk. They close both sides and cut it with a saw.
Now this one's crime is separate from the record of being cursed. But he comes from that lineage. So there is a cursedness in them. Now some of them will suffer a second oppression. In the first, sir, it says something like "your faces were blackened". In the second it says: Our mighty, strong servants. They will drive you out of your homeland. They will kill. They will suffer a second oppression; because they know this, they build shelters underground. this is because they denied Allah's verses and killed the prophets unjustly. Yes, this is because they rebelled and went too far. The Jews, the Children of Israel, the people of the Children of Israel, without entering the protection of the believers — note, I'm not saying Muslims — without entering the protection of the believers they have no right to live, it says.
The believers, (?) — look here. I don't want to search now for which number the believers' text is. Yes.
Open verse 61 of Surah Al-Baqarah. Let's look at (?). Let him look there too.
Verse 61. We read it. Give it here, let's see.
Al Imran 112. Al Imran 112, in the verse. Let's see what it says there now.
Al Imran 92.
112: They, the Jews — wherever they are found, by the covenant of Allah and of the people, that is, of the believers — that corresponds to Islam. A believer is a Muslim. A Muslim is not a believer. But the hodjas don't know this. It says: O believers. (?), it says. Good. A believer is a person who has risen through nafs-i emmare, nafs-i levvame, nafs-i mülhime to nafs-i mutmainne, who has attained the manifestations. These judge with justice. With justice. So Allah Almighty places these under the protection of a people who will judge with justice. (?) are very different, you see. You won't just say "believer" and pass over this.
They are the Jews. Wherever they are, unless they take refuge in the covenant of Allah and of the people, the believers, the stamp of humiliation has been put on them, it says. They have incurred Allah's wrath and been condemned to wretchedness. Because they deny Allah's verses and kill the prophets unjustly. This is because they rebelled and transgressed the limits. Roughly, having this read in Surah Al-Baqarah — the same verses support each other anyway.
Yes. I have guests at home. I need to attend to them a bit. It's ten to eight. We are closing our lesson ten minutes early. Did we say this here?
Yes, we answered it. Stay well, may you be in Allah's care.
Lillahi Teala'l-Fatiha.
We probably touched the wrong place.
Let's open it again now.
Yes.
