Explanation
What is said in the video
First, let us talk about the Night of Qadr; as all of us know, I will not speak at length. Allah Almighty, on the 27th night of Ramadan, sent down the Quran from the Preserved Tablet to the place called Qadr, in order to bring the worlds to light and to shine a light before people; to man, the most honourable being He created, His verses, first as a light and a radiance, He sent down. Whoever lives outside these verses lives in darkness. And whoever takes up Allah's commands, so that in this world they live with their way always bright and at peace, it secures their life. Now, Hodja, there are two words in what you said that do not fit together.
What are they? The Quran came as a mercy to the worlds, to enlighten, to light the way for people, and now you say they live in darkness. Yes, I say it rightly, but not in the sense you understand; I will explain now. Look what it says in verse 17 of Surah Al-Baqarah: they, that is, verse 17, in the verse, Now, I am reading you the verse that has been explained wrongly. Their
condition, it says, the polytheists'. It is like a fire lit in a dark night. In a dark night, look, the polytheists or the unbelievers, in a dark night, a fire they light. When the fire lights up its surroundings, Allah at once takes away their light, and in darkness He leaves them. Now what did we say? The Quran came as a light, came as a radiance, to light the way for people; here, whether non-Muslim, idolater or unbeliever, outside Islam no one can light a fire; here, figuratively, Allah Almighty says that He sent the Quran to the universe as an illumination, a light, a guide, a leader, He says; look, their condition, the hypocrites', is like a fire burning in a dark night.
When people come into the world and do not know what lies ahead or what they will do, it is a dark world. So Allah Almighty, by sending the Quran to His Prophet verse by verse, lit up the way before people. Whoever turns their back on the Quran remains in darkness. Yes. So, to light the way before people, Allah Almighty sent the Quran on the 27th night of Ramadan down to the place called Qadr. It came as a mercy to the worlds. Allah Almighty places on no one a burden they cannot bear. So, to light the way of His creatures, to give them ease, sir, in the things they do, to lead them, He sent prophets, and to people who could be enlightened on their path He sent the books.
And gathering these four books together in the Quran, and since after this neither a messenger nor a prophet nor a book will come, whoever spends their life outside this book remains in darkness. So on the 27th night of Ramadan, from Sidrat al-Muntaha, sir, by Allah Almighty sending down the Quran to the place called Qadr, and to the Prophet, gradually, from these verses, by revealing them firmly into his heart, and at the same time, the verses He revealed into the Prophet's heart, having Gabriel the Trustworthy fetch them from Sidrat al-Muntaha and recite them to the Prophet. And the Prophet says this about Gabriel: I loved Gabriel's recitation very much, he says. In Medina there is a gate where Gabriel descended, up there at the entrance of Medina; they call it the Gate of Gabriel.
Now some people who do not know themselves make Gabriel into Allah and try to deal with Gabriel. These follow a rule that Zionism wrote, and according to that written rule, according to their own understanding, their own ideology, they have put Gabriel in the place of Allah. And for all these years, over centuries, that Gabriel has been presented as Allah to people. It is not the essence of the Quran. The Quran has been written, at its root, according to Zionism's understanding. Understanding the Quran must be in the Quran's own language. Verses must confirm verses. Here, in the Quran, some words are always attributed to Allah; people never committed sins, Allah always made people sin, and Allah urged people to sin.
And so Allah would put whom He wills in paradise and whom He wills in hell.
Pay attention: Allah is the owner of justice. In His justice there is no shortfall, not even like a speck floating in the air.
I will record the good of an atom's weight that was done, and "ve men ya'mel miskâle zerratin şerran yerah", the evil of an atom's weight too I will record, says Allah Almighty. He will call people to account for the deeds they actually did. According to Zionism's ideology, its ideology, the essence of the Quran is in fact written according to Zionism. People need to know this well. And until now we have been forgotten. With the Sirat bridges, with Allah putting man into paradise and hell, whom He wills into paradise, whom He wills into hell, with wronging some, sir, and casting out whomever He wishes.
The Quran's verses have been written this way.
People who do not know its origin memorise what they learn from each other like parrots and talk with each other. They teach each other. And when they hear the truth, they rebel. They do not use their reason. And Allah Almighty says: do you not use your reason at all? Yes. So Allah Almighty, to light the way before people, sent down the Quran and to illuminate the worlds; whoever in these worlds turns their back on the Quran remains in darkness as well. And they have two paths. That is, people have two paths. One is the path to paradise, the other the path to hell. The path to paradise: those who judge by the verses of the Quran that Allah sent down, who judge by it as much as they can, know their Lord as their Lord and keep up their worship; they are the ones who attain salvation.
But those who say Allah is three, who say Allah has a wife and a son, who ascribe attributes to Allah, who associate partners, who worship idols, go the second path, the path to hell, of which He says "what an evil bed". That is why Allah Almighty, so that people do not go to hell, so that they attain life, sent the Quran to people as a guide, a leader, a light. Whoever wishes obeys Allah; there is no god but Allah, the owner of the universe is Allah; and whoever wishes lives outside Allah by his own reason, and he takes the path to hell. But do not forget this: people who do not use the reason Allah gave them will remain logs for hell forever.
Who uses the reason Allah gave? What does the verse tell you?
Do you not use your reason at all? Do you not reflect at all? He commands. Yes. So tonight we celebrate the Quran's descent from the Preserved Tablet, at Sidrat al-Muntaha, to the place called Qadr. Just as a person celebrates their own birth, today Allah Almighty, who illuminates the universe, who created the worlds from His light, apart from people, outside the worlds. He created people from His spirit. All other creatures were created, created from His light. To illuminate these worlds, Allah Almighty, out of His mercy, the Quran, to the master, sir, of the universe, the master of all created beings, the Prophet (peace be upon him), the Quran, according to the verse "you never expected that I would give you this book", He sent down tonight, on the Night of Qadr, and we too must celebrate the night on which this Quran came to us as a mercy, a light, a guide, a leader.
On this night people say the following. Who are these people? These (?).
No, you will pray one rak'ah of this, in a hundred rak'ahs you will recite this, in every rak'ah you will recite this. Like that. These are words made up by the (?). It is to push you into hardship this way, then to wear you out and to keep you from prayer altogether. According to this verse there is no such thing. "We do not intend injustice to the worlds," says Allah Almighty. Look how beautifully He says it: We do not intend injustice to the worlds. We do not put on your back a burden you cannot bear, He says. In My sight the best of worship is that which is little but constant, he says. So do not believe such nonsense.
On the blessed nights you will read so many verses, in tonight's prayer you will pray so many prayers, you will worship so many rak'ahs and so on. There is no such thing. These are so that they say: look how beautifully this hodja worships, how much he knows.
And people who talk like this also bear the sin. You cannot show a single verse, a single hadith that says on the Night of Qadr or on the blessed nights you will worship this much; not a single hadith, not a single verse can you show. According to the verses. Because Allah does not put on people's backs a burden they cannot bear. Yes. And tonight, by Allah's grace and generosity, within the life and health He has given, we will hold the celebration that is due. For this celebration, tonight the tasbih prayer is prayed. Allah is remembered a little too. We did not pray a (?). Some voluntary prayer is prayed too.
When you get sleepy, you go to bed. You get up for the dawn prayer. Some sit up through the night, sit and sit. They miss the dawn prayer. They get sleepy. They go to bed. They miss the prayer. So on condition that you keep up your prayers, on condition that you miss no prayer, since in some matters a person dozes off. Because of illness, this or that, his prayer, the dawn prayer, he may pray after sunrise. And a prayer prayed after sunrise does not count as a make-up prayer either. Know this as such. Because one prayer time does not begin before another has ended. Yes. One time does not end before another begins.
That is why we pray the tasbih prayer a little. And we remember our Lord, sir, with some of His attributes, and in this way we will have celebrated our night, the Night of Qadr. In addition, on the Night of Qadr there is a moment when Allah Almighty's majestic name is written across the sky. At that moment all created beings, plants and vegetation, prostrate.
That is why stay up a little longer tonight. I mean, I cannot tell you exactly how long or when, but between twelve and one. After that you go to bed. If you want to stay up, until one, sir, you occupy yourselves with worship in your homes. After one you go to bed. If you meet it, you meet it; if you don't, Allah Almighty will count you as having met it. On this night the angels and the Spirit descend to the earth. Those who call the Spirit an angel, who do not know that angels are created from light while the Spirit belongs to Allah Almighty's own essence, interpret this in other ways. But since some people's knowledge is lacking, we will not go into that.
We will only know this: the angels and the Spirit, this night until dawn, everywhere is within (?).
Now to the questions. A guest says: peace be upon you, sir. It is told that after the conquest of Istanbul, Sultan Mehmed the Conqueror went to Ebu'l-Vefa and knocked on the door, and when he sent his aide in, word came from inside: our sovereign has a sensitive and fervent heart. If he comes in here and tastes the delight of our world, he will never want to leave and will not return to ruling the state. But this realm and this community are entrusted to him. If no one as worthy as himself can come and fill his place, the realm and the community will suffer. Then he and I would both become sinners, he said.
Accordingly, can a sultan not become a dervish and walk both paths at once? Like the Rightly Guided Caliphs. Yes. Now, what you said is told this way.
The Rightly Guided Caliphs: no one has knowledge like the Companions, whoever it may be. They were fighters, people who acted by Allah's commands. For the sake of the Prophet's blessed face. Each of them had come to know the manifestations of our Lord. Even though Sultan Mehmed the Conqueror's spirituality was strong, and he had certain inner states too, if love and affection overwhelmed him, love (?), as he said, if he turned towards the dervish life, since he does not have that will, like the Rightly Guided Caliphs, since that will is not in them, you see, the ruling of the state he would simply drop.
Your Ebu'l-Vefa does not open the door, you see. So that he would not come in. That is, so that he would not stay there and become a dervish; then, after he had gone, Ebu'l-Vefa weeps; they ask him: why are you weeping? And he says what you said; it is written and told here. Your question, we can sum it up in a single word like this: the Rightly Guided Caliphs, at every moment with Allah, in consultation, knew the verses very well; "to whom We give knowledge We give wisdom", He says; with that wisdom, with command, to govern the nation's will in the best way, on earth there are only the Qutb al-Aqtab, the greatest Qutbs; besides them, at the level of nafs-i radiyah, there are some people, but a commander ruling the state, a commander, and being a dervish, together go hard. That is why everyone has a duty.
Ebu'l-Vefa did the right thing too.
Guest Alper says: Surah Ar-Ra'd, 39th verse: Allah shortens the term of life according to the rule He set. Look now. Here they made such a mistake, not a mistake, according to Zionism's own understanding, according to a religion it made up, whereas the religion, inne'd-dîne indallâhi 'l-İslâm, there is no religion other than Islam; the others are all so-called religions they made up themselves. Or else it leaned towards some books. For example they altered the Torah, the Psalms and the Gospel, the true books. They wrote them according to their own wishes. The correct version of all four books is in the Quran.
In this respect. Look what it says here now. Allah erases what He wills. Allah does not erase what He wills. If Allah erases what He wills, then He wrote too much and that becomes surplus. And no flaw can be found in Allah Almighty. He is perfect. He knows everything to be done until the Day of Judgement, down to the atom, moment by moment, minute by minute, second by second. He creates beings accordingly. Every being takes its provision. It does the deeds it is to do. Accordingly, people earn reward and sin. Now next: and what He wills He keeps fixed. He leaves it. The origin of all books is with Him.
Right. This ending is right. But it is a wrongly written verse. Now I am reading you the correct version.
Whoever wishes erases Allah's book. Allah does not erase. Whoever wishes, that is, makes things up. Others make up other books, other words. Don't they make things up? Didn't they insert things into the Gospel, the Torah? For money, rabbis, priests. Yes. Whoever wishes leaves it fixed. And whoever of people wishes says: I don't interfere, whatever Allah sent, I am with that. And he judges by Allah's original. Now, here the one who wishes did not erase. That is, here Allah did not erase what He wills. As the wrongly written verses are written here. Allah does not erase. People, whoever wishes, erase.
Allah does not erase. Look, next to it, it says Allah erases what He wills. Then Allah would have no more rule over people. And Allah does not say of the books He sent: this was lacking, I want this. That would not befit Allah either. Because will is of two kinds: universal will and partial will. Universal will is Allah. He created the people He intended, and to the people He intended He gave a part of His spirit. And that person, with his will, made a covenant with Allah Almighty in Surah Al-A'raf, verse 172. By man's own desire and will, Allah Almighty gave him exactly what he wanted; so in this case that person came into this world to prove what kind of person he is: does he believe in the books and prophets Allah Almighty sent, is he on Allah Almighty's path, or, not entering Islam, does he follow his own whims?
Here we prove what kind of person we are; so Allah did not erase what He wills; we willed; whoever wishes erased, and whoever wishes left it fixed. That is, he judged by the verses Allah sent us, by verses. Yes. Guest. Surah Ar-Ra'd, verse 39 is like this. A wrongly explained verse.
Guest Mio says: peace be upon you, today our lesson, after the night prayer, will be given. Guest (?) says: peace be upon you, sir, my question: the Quran, when people share it among themselves, each reading one juz', and complete a khatm, they all get the reward of a khatm, it is said; is this true? We'd like to learn from you, may Allah be pleased with you. When one juz' each is handed out among people and together they make one khatm, everyone benefits from that khatm; "everyone made a khatm" is not so; for everyone to make a khatm, he must read the Quran completely, that is necessary; with made-up books there is no khatm, nor by one's own reason is there a khatm; for it to be a khatm, he will read the Quran from start to finish himself or follow the reciter exactly; but it is one khatm, and from that one khatm everyone gets the reward; Allah's forgiveness is abundant, His mercy is abundant, but the reward of one khatm each He gives; but they give the reward of a khatm.
Good deeds that are done He increases 1 to 3, 1 to 5, 1 to 7, 1 to 10, 1 to 70, 1 to 100, up to 700 times.
They should say it this way. Otherwise it does not mean that each of them made a khatm. Yes.
Isn't there a talk, he says; well, it's over. The talk is over. Now time is passing. We will begin the tasbih prayer. If Allah grants it. How is the tasbih prayer prayed? Let me tell you. We know it, but maybe some don't. Those who know it know it; it will be a repetition. I intend to pray the tasbih prayer. In fact the tasbih prayer is a prayer prayed alone. But when it is general, with a congregation, there is an imam from the congregation. They follow the imam. The tasbih prayer is then prayed this way. I intend to pray the tasbih prayer. Towards the qibla, the qibla of the Kaaba, Allahu Akbar, he recites the Sübhaneke.
15 times Sübhânallâhi ve'l-hamdülillâhi ve lâ ilâhe illallâhu vallâhu ekber ve lâ havle ve lâ kuvvete illâ billâhi'l-aliyyi'l-azîm, he says. Then he says the Eûzü Besmele and recites the Sübhaneke. After reciting Al-Fatiha and an additional surah, 10 times Sübhânallâhi ve'l-hamdülillâhi ve lâ ilâhe illallâhu vallâhu ekber ve lâ havle ve lâ kuvvete illâ billâhi'l-aliyyi'l-azîm, he says. Then Allahu Akbar, he goes into ruku'. In ruku' he says it 10 times. Then he says Semiallahu limen hamideh. He stands up. He says it ten times standing too. Then Allahu Akbar, he goes into prostration. In prostration he says it ten times.
He says Allahu Akbar. He sits. Ten times, sitting as in the tahiyyat. Ten times he says it there too. Then, ten times again, he goes into prostration. In prostration he says it ten times. That makes seventy-five. At seventy-five, the second rak'ah. He makes one hundred fifty rak'ahs. Yes. One hundred fifty rak'ahs. in two rak'ahs, three hundred rak'ahs. One rak'ah is prayed. He stands up; when he prays another rak'ah, that is two rak'ahs. But originally it is four rak'ahs. That is why one prays two, and that is prayed too. That is, it does not say you will pray this much, but the Prophet (peace be upon him) mostly prayed four rak'ahs.
And to attain its reward, we pray four. Yes.
If you have questions, I will wait one, two, three minutes for your questions. You can ask questions.
You had a question. Go on, ask, Mustafa.
Come over here. Let him come here so that this side hears too.
Is this the verse that is wrong? Anyway, it doesn't read it all. They tell me the parts I can't read.
You read this part. Slowly. Because my eyes can't see. Is that better? Let it stay here. O you who believe, whoever of you turns back from his religion, let him know that Allah, those He loves and who love Him, humble towards the believers, compassionate, proud towards the unbelievers and tough, such a people He will create. They strive in the way of Allah and do not fear the blame of any blamer. This is the favour Allah gives to whom He wills. Allah's favour and knowledge are vast, it says. Now here, when it says Allah gave to whom He wills, the covenant in Surah Al-A'raf, verse 172, is cancelled.
Why is it cancelled? Here too we said, look, now what does it say here? Let me read you that part too. Yes?
Okay. It's coming.
Yes, read. Now read it to me here: on the Day of Judgement, "we were unaware of this"; my Lord took the children of Adam, them, as witnesses over themselves and said: am I not your Lord? They: we bear witness. Now look, what does it say: He brought forth from the offspring of the children of Adam. We came from the offspring of the children of Adam. Did you see Allah in this world?
Who saw Allah in this world? Read that once more, that part. He brought forth the offspring of the children of Adam, look, from the children of Adam. From the children of Adam He brought forth their offspring. There. From their loins, the offspring is us, isn't it? From his loins, from the loins of the children of Adam, the offspring is us. Look, read the rest.
Did you want it? All right. Read the correct one.
From the son of Adam, "zuhûrihim", it says. Zuhûrihim.
What does it say? "Ve iz ehaze." He made a covenant. "Min benî Âdeme." He made a covenant from Adam. Zuhuruhu. Those who will appear. Adam's offspring. Look, zuhuruhu. Zürriyetü. He made a covenant with those who would appear from Adam's offspring. Where? At Qalu Bala. These people write books. They know Arabic. Gentlemen, this is a book written according to the roots of Zionism. Written according to Zionism.
When we explain the foundation of Islam, they say it is contrary to the foundation of Islam. Of course it will be contrary. Because it is contrary to Zionism. Yet he does not say: this foundation of Zionism is contrary to the foundation of Islam; he cannot say it. He says "the foundation of Islam". He says it is contrary according to Zionism. He is right. This has to change. It has to change. This book has to change. We have been shouting for years. As if this soil had been poured over them. They just stay silent.
Yes.
Where was it?
Ah, we read the line. We said this part. Sir, i'tikaf in a town: we have not explained that part. It was asking whether life is short or long. Which verse was it? Wait, let's say that one now. Allah shortens and lengthens the term of life according to the rule He set, verse 39; which nonsense said this, I wonder? In the verse Allah Almighty says, when His command comes due, neither an hour ahead nor an hour back; find me that part, too, neither an hour ahead nor an hour back; find me that part in the, you know. Leave it now. Which verse does it say here? Thirty-nine. Yes.
It is a wrongly explained verse anyway. Allah erases what He wills and keeps fixed what He wills. All the books: we explained this to you. Their origin is with Him.
We explained this. Fixes: is the matter right?
Shortens the term or fixes it: is this translation right? According to reason, a man's own reason, according to superstitions, it is right. According to superstitions; according to the Truth, wrong. According to Zionism's (?), right. Because they do not know such an Allah. They call Gabriel Allah. Gabriel is Allah, they say. May Allah protect us. I don't know what they will do. And I have evidence, which the Diyanet also wrote to me, evidence in my hands. Where this man should say Gabriel, he says Allah, he says. One. Against writings written this way, I have in my hands evidence that the words he wrote according to Zionism's ideas are, by the truth, wrong; I have evidence in my hands.
He wrote to me himself. These are wrong, he should say Allah, he says.
He shows one more example.
Every community has a term, it says. Every community has a term. When their term comes, they can neither stay back a moment nor go ahead by one. Has their term come? Not a moment comes, nor can it go ahead. Since these are written according to Zionism, they say Allah straightens, lengthens, shortens. They have made Allah a toy to suit their minds. If you write this Quran this way and put it before the nation, then the nation becomes your mirror; it turns out this way. For 1400-odd years, in the way we learned our language from our ancestors, the scholars brought it to us; those over us in these 100 years, especially to corrupt the religion, the Quran written this way, written on the basis of Zionism, they put before us.
Yes. And when we tell the truth about these, what is right, according to the verses, it turns out to be contrary to the foundation of Islam. And they do not give the clear answer we ask for. They do not. I will say more.
The Quran, people sharing it among themselves, a juz' each: we talked about that too. I'tikaf is wajib for everyone in a town. But if one person enters it, it falls from the others. I can say that is right. You know it correctly. For how many days can one enter i'tikaf? Can you explain the minimum number of days and the number that suits piety? And can you explain i'tikaf and its meaning? I'tikaf, as I said, is wajib for everyone. But when one person in a town enters it, it is lifted from them. It is not fard either, but of what the Prophet did and made known to us, it is one of the strong wajibs.
According to the word you used, according to piety, 10 days. You enter on the 20th and come out on the 30th. Since Allah Almighty places on man nothing beyond his strength, a person enters for three days, enters for five days, enters for seven days, enters for one day. One day. He enters this evening and comes out the next evening.
He has no contact with women. Only in a cell; his food, separately, his caretaker or his wife puts at the door. And he takes it from the door. He does not even look at his wife's face. Yes. In this way he spends the night in worship.
But they have cut this down. So that i'tikaf becomes a habit, sir, they reduced it to an hour. To an hour. Supposedly there is an i'tikaf of an hour. Yes. Let me see, are there others?
No.
The meaning of i'tikaf is meeting with Allah, surrendering to Allah. That is, a kind of death. He cuts his ties with the world, and reflects on Allah with his whole being. Just like Arafat.
There, you know, he says, command, O Allah, command; my command over myself, O Allah, command. So i'tikaf is like (?).
Forming intimacy with Allah.
The most beautiful side of this i'tikaf: if with strong faith you have leaned on Allah, you also come to know the manifestations. That is why the Prophet, i'tikaf in a town, as (?), that is, as a saviour of that town, made known. Yes. Allah Almighty, for the sake of one of His friends in a town, protects the whole town for this reason. When He was to destroy the peoples of the prophets, He brought out the prophets and those who believed in them, and then destroyed the town. Yes.
I'tikaf is that valuable.
No one else has a question. Stay well, may you be in Allah's care. Lillâhi Teâlâ el-Fâtiha.
