Tafsir
The disbelievers among the People of the Book and the idolaters, those who associate shirk with Allah, do not want any good to come down from Allah (swt) on Muslims. These people who are enemies of Allah are enemies of people who love Allah. They are the ones who attribute shortcomings to Allah (swt) according to their own minds. They try to force Allah (swt) to fulfill their own desires and wishes, as if Allah (swt) is obliged to do what these people say. They bargain with Allah (swt). Those who say, "If you don't do what I say, I don't recognize you and I won't do what you say," are the ones who think they are right in their own souls. They have convinced themselves that Paradise is theirs, that no non-Jew can enter Paradise, and that they are worthy of every good that comes from Allah. That is why they cannot tolerate any good that comes from Allah to Muslims and turn against Islam out of spite. In order to turn the good that comes from Allah into evil, they never hesitate to sow sedition among the people and cause mischief. For this reason, Allah (swt) says about them in one of His Verses, "They are the Fitnah of the earth".
However, Allah is not only the Allah of Muslims. He is the Allah of all His creation. If Allah were the Allah of Islam alone, He would have withheld His sustenance from those who disbelieved in Allah (swt) in the world, turned His back on them and these people would have been miserable. Or on the Day of Judgment, He would take away the Muslims and those who follow Him. He would have no interest in those who would be tormented in hell. No, it is not like that, He is the God of all created things, from the mote to the sphere. There is no god other than Him. Therefore, He is reckoning all His servants in order to give rewards for good and evil among people. Therefore, Allah will not do injustice among His servants, so whoever asks Allah for His mercy and wishes for good, Allah will give him good. And whoever has asked Allah for evil, He will create events that will cause evil in proportion to His will. According to their own desires and wishes, people commit acts of good deeds and sins with Allah's creations.
(Allah is the Owner of great mercy). Whoever submits to Allah's command, obeys Him, fears Him and loves Him the most, Allah will increase his reward many times over. And whoever turns from his bad behavior, repents, becomes a servant to Allah, and seeks refuge in Allah from his sins, Allah is Tawwab. He is the Most Accepting of repentance. He cleanses us from our sins by changing our burdens of sin into good deeds.
Our Prophet said in one of his hadiths: "Even if your sins reach the clouds in the sky, if you repent with a good faith and a sincere heart, your sins will be converted into good deeds.
O man! Is there a better bestowal than this? Is there a greater treasure than this? The treasure is our lifespan, and the bounty is Allah's favor to mankind, as He says, "We give to those who ask". Let us all wish for Allah's bounty together. Let us make good use of the treasure of life in front of us, tomorrow will be too late. If we lose that treasure, it is not possible to reach it again. At the end of your life, you say to Allah (swt), "Send me back again, see what kind of worship I will do for you," but the opportunity is gone and we cannot go back. While we have the opportunity, let us be among the people of Paradise and receive Allah's mercy.
What is said in the video
We have come to verse 105.
Verse 105.
Verse 105 is a verse that has been wrongly interpreted. Let us see where this mistake comes from. First let us read the wrong one, the wrong version of the verse, and then we will read the correct one. Yes.
105. O believers! Those of the People of the Book who disbelieve, and the idolaters, do not want any good from your Lord to be sent down to you. Yet Allah gives His mercy to whom He wills. Allah is the possessor of great bounty, it says. Allah does not give His mercy to whom He wills. He gives it to whoever wishes for His mercy from Allah. Yes.
Now we read the correct one. Yes. Those of the People of the Book who disbelieve, and the polytheists,
do not want any good to be sent down to you from your Lord. Yet Allah showers His mercy. Whoever wishes attains guidance. Allah is the possessor of great beneficence. That is the meaning of the verse.
Those of the People of the Book who disbelieve, and the idolaters, those who associate partners with Allah, do not want any good to come down to the Muslims from Allah Almighty. These people who are enemies of Allah are also enemies of the people who love Allah. These are the ones who attribute qualities to Allah Almighty according to their own minds. As if Allah Almighty had to do what these people say, they try to force Allah Almighty to follow their own selfish desires and wishes. They bargain with Allah Almighty. Does it really say that, Hodja? Is there such a verse? Are you saying this from your own head?
No. There is a verse, after all. When Moses sent twelve, from the twelve tribes, to the Amalekite people, to them he says: go on then. Eleven go and tell their people. One of them proves steadfast in his task. He reports to Moses. These Jews said to Moses: Allah and you go and fight, win that place, and then we will come. Yes. I am saying nothing from my own head. I am always giving the meaning of the verses. Yes. If you do not do what I say, I will not recognize you either, he says. Is there something for this too? He goes to the Wailing Wall. What insults he hurls at Allah Almighty. What insults he hurls at the Wailing Wall.
Those who say "I will not do what You say" are those who in their own selves consider themselves in the right. These have made themselves believe that paradise is theirs, that no one who is not a Jew will enter paradise, and that they are worthy of every good that comes from Allah. That is what they have made themselves believe. Therefore, unable to bear the good that will come from Allah to the Muslims, out of their hatred they take a stand against Islam. To turn the good that comes from Allah into evil, they never refrain from sowing discord among people and from drowning everything in corruption.
For this reason Allah Almighty says of them in a verse: they are the discord of the earth, so He declares. The greatest discord of our age, the greatest what do they call it? It does not come to my mind now. It is a simple word, too.
Of those who appear Muslim but are disbelievers.
Hypocrisy. And the greatest discord of our age is the hypocrite Gülen.
It is Fethullah Gülen. The greatest discord of our age, the hypocrite.
We exposed this man forty years ago. But nobody listened to us. Forty years ago. We said this man is a hypocrite. I said this man talks of interfaith dialogue. There is no religion other than Islam, and there is no interfaith dialogue either.
This man said tolerance. There is no tolerating the disbelievers either. Tolerance exists only within Islam.
According to the verse in which He says whoever follows them is like them, there is no tolerance for them either. This man said there is no headscarf either. We proved this too with verses. And we said this man is a disbeliever, a hypocrite. We said this already forty years ago. Yes. But they did not listen to us. Today they are suffering for it.
This man is like a chameleon in every way; as Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, our President, said, that would be an insult to the chameleon. Indeed, he puts on every coat of paint. He takes on every colour.
He is also the Pope's missionary.
He appeared to be a Muslim. He drew Muslims away from their religion. Drew them away from their religion. And it pleased people's nafs. They followed him. Saying: don't pray, hide. Pray with your eyes, with gestures. Drink alcohol so that they don't recognize you; and, for your religion, uncover your head too, so they don't recognize you. Because people liked these things, they drew people away from Islam, and because the nafs liked these things, they ran after this man. May Allah give strength to our state.
May Allah grant long life to the people leading us.
If these had not held this state, today every one of us would be in captivity. Yes.
These have made themselves believe that paradise is theirs, that no one who is not a Jew can enter paradise, that they are worthy of every good that comes from Allah; this is what they made themselves believe. Therefore, unable to bear the good that will come from Allah to the Muslims, out of their hatred they take a stand against Islam. To turn the good from Allah into evil, they never refrain from sowing discord among people and from drowning everything in corruption. For this reason Allah Almighty also says of them in a verse that they are the discord of the earth.
Yet Allah is not only the God of the Muslims. He is the God of all that He has created. If He were only the God of Islam, then to those in the world who deny Allah Almighty He would cut off their provision, turn His back on them, and these people would be ruined, or on the Day of Judgement He would take the Muslims and those who follow Him and pass on and go. He would not care at all about those who will suffer the torment of hell. No, it is not like that. Whatever He has created, from the atom to the globe, He is the God of all of it; there is no god but Him. For this reason, to reward the good and the evil among people, He calls all His servants to account.
For this reason, since Allah does no injustice among His servants, whoever from Allah desired Allah's mercy and wished for His good, to him Allah gives His good. And whoever wished evil from Allah, for him too, in proportion to his own wish, He creates the events in which he will commit evil. People, according to their own desires and wishes, with what Allah created, carry out deeds of reward and sin.
Allah is the possessor of great beneficence, He says. Whoever submits to Allah's command, obeys Him, fears Him and loves Him the most, Allah multiplies the reward of what he does many times over. Moreover, whoever turns from his bad ways, repents, becomes a servant of Allah and takes refuge in Allah from his sins, Allah Almighty is At-Tawwab. He is the One who accepts repentance abundantly. He also changes our burdens of sin into good deeds and cleanses us of our sins. In a hadith the Prophet says: even if your sins had reached the clouds in the sky, if you repent with sound faith and a sincere heart, those sins of yours are changed into good deeds.
So, O human, can there be a finer kindness than this? Can there be a greater treasure than this? The treasure is our lifetime. With the verse in which He says: and beneficence We give to whoever wishes. It is a grace of Allah to people. Come, let us all together wish for Allah's beneficence. Let us use well the treasure of life before us. Tomorrow will be too late. If we let that treasure slip from our hands, it will not be possible to reach it again. For no one knows when death comes to a person. At the end of your life you say to Allah Almighty: send me back once more. See how I will worship You.
But the chance is gone. There is no going back for us. Those who, while they have the chance, attain Allah's mercy as people of paradise.
