If they had properly applied the Torah, the Bible and what has been sent down from their Lord to them (Qur’an), they would have eaten from above them and from beneath their feet (they would have benefited from the blessings of the sky and the earth and lived in prosperity). There is a group among them that does not transgress (who are frugal/moderate). Vile is what most of them commit.

Tafsir

If those of the People of the Book had followed the Verses of Allah properly, following the Torah and the Gospel, and the Prophets whom Allah sent to them, and the Holy Qur'an, which was sent to them by the last Prophet Hatemen, they would surely have eaten from above them and from under their feet.

The purpose of eating from the tops here is, in the first sense, that Allah sustains them with His mercy of abundant rain. In the second sense, it reminds us that in the time of Prophet Moses, they were fed with quail meat and manna, which were the foods of paradise. And they would eat from under their feet. The meaning here is not only that they produced and ate from what the earth produces, but also that the underground resources are various resources that we cannot count, such as elmes, gold and copper mines. Another meaning is that the Jewish people live scattered on the earth and they will not be able to establish a homeland until the Day of Judgment. The establishment of a homeland for the Jews is one of the signs of the Day of Judgment. In some of the hadiths of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), the Messenger of Allah and the Prophet of Allah (PBUH), some of the signs of the Apocalypse are as follows. If we list a few of them: The emergence of the Dajjal, the descent of Jesus Christ to the earth and his coming as an ummah to Hazrat Mahdi and their working together, the establishment of a homeland by the Jews, and finally the sun setting in the west and rising in the west.

(Among them is a moderate group of people who do not go to extremes.) These are the people who have accepted Islam, but are hidden among them. These are the people who do not indulge in pomp, selfishness and indulgence like the other disbelievers, and do not commit fornication and adultery. They are people who know the command of Allah and serve Allah.

But how evil is the deeds of the majority, except for this few. They do not recognize Allah and the Book and live according to their nafs. They do not pay attention to halal and haram, they do not recognize anyone above themselves, they eat interest with money games, and they live in pride and egoism. These are the ones on evil deeds.

What is said in the video

Yes.

Surah Al-Ma'idah, verse 66, we have come to it.

If they had the Torah, the Gospel and what was sent down to them from their Lord, the Quran,

honestly applied, honestly, surely they would have eaten both from above them and from beneath their feet. Benefiting from the riches beneath the ground and on the earth, they would have lived in prosperity. Among them a group that does not go to excess, thrifty, moderate, there is. But how evil is what most of them do, says Allah Almighty. With His verse, the verses I mentioned earlier have now come after it. What does it say? If they had the Torah, the Gospel and what was sent down to them from their Lord, the Quran, properly applied.

Those who applied the Torah in its full meaning are on the nature of Islam.

After the Torah, the Furqan, (?). The Quran too is called Furqan, you know; (?). But its original is the Zabur. If they had followed the Zabur in its full meaning. They too are on the nature of Islam. Why? Because the Torah, the (?) and the Gospel are verses from the Quran, they, since they follow those verses, are on the nature of Islam. Then came the Gospel. If they had followed the Gospel in its full meaning until the Quran, again they would have gone on the nature of Islam. And Allah Almighty, with this verse, to us has proven with His verse what happened in the past. What does it say? If they had the Torah, the Gospel and what was sent down to them from their Lord, the Quran, properly applied, surely both from above them and from beneath their feet they would have eaten.

In the time of Moses, did the Jews, by following Moses, not feed in the desert of Tih on quail meat and manna, did they not? Both from the air and from the ground, with what grew beneath their feet; then they slid into denial. With that denial they were cursed. They stayed there in prison. In prison. There they all died and passed away. Now Allah Almighty to people how beautifully He calls out here. If they had believed honestly in the book in their hands, honestly. Is this honesty very good here? We will now open up the meaning of honesty here. If they had the Torah, the Gospel and what was sent down to them from their Lord, the Quran, properly applied, properly applied, surely both from above them and from beneath their feet they would have eaten. That is, if they had known Allah, the owner of those verses, and surrendered to Allah, like the beam of light coming from the same lamp, from the same lamp, the Quran that Allah Almighty sent too, as sent by Allah, they would believe.

They would have become Muslims at once. This is the meaning of honest here. If they had applied it honestly. Because the name of a prophet who would come after was also written in those books. It was written. Yes. His name, it says, Ahmad, from pre-eternity Muhammad. Yes. So if they had honestly believed in their Lord, had been bound by those verses, even though the name of a prophet who would come after was written there, as I said earlier, like the beam of light from a lamp, they would realize the Quran was adorned with the same verses, and these would believe in Allah at once. But they changed their books with their own hands.

Since no prophet came from among themselves, out of the pride and arrogance in their nafs, since they deified their nafs, in the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) they did not believe. Because they said, we are the near ones of Allah. They said, how can Abu Talib's orphan be a prophet?

Yes. Even, if there were to be one, (?) from these two towns, so-and-so or so-and-so being it, would that not be more fitting, it says. Of those two towns, the first is Medina the Radiant, the second in Mecca the Honoured, those rich men, the richest. Because they corrupted their minds with money, corrupted them with matter. Their gods, their world, their lives, their lifetimes, all of it matter.

They cannot see the One who created it. They cannot surrender to Him. In this case, the people are non-Muslims. They are like four-legged animals roaming the earth. They come under this verse. Yes.

But, it says, but how evil is what most of them do.

Among them there is a group that does not go to excess, thrifty and moderate. By not going to excess He means those who do not go the way they went, a group that prays, fasts and gives zakat. But these have imprisoned themselves among them. Why? Because they live among them. If they had identified themselves as Islam, declared it, they would at once excommunicate them. You know excommunication. In the old days, people who went against the priests, the priests would excommunicate. After that excommunication no one would give him bread or food, nor let him in among them. People lived in the mountains and died there hungry and thirsty.

That is excommunication. Now, is this what Allah commanded them?

So what a false belief, and with what nafs-driven feelings, people who attach the words they themselves said to Allah and impute guilt to Allah.

May Allah protect us from such an environment. Yes.

If those of the People of the Book, the Torah and the Gospel, and also the prophets Allah sent them, and finally the Quran sent with the Seal of the Prophets, following them, had applied Allah's verses properly, surely they would have eaten both from above them and from beneath their feet.

Allah Almighty, as I said earlier, created this world for people and made people the vicegerents of the earth.

If people had believed in our Lord, the earth would be lived in a festive air. People safe from one another, and Allah Almighty would keep raining on those people, raining.

On what basis do I say this?

I say it according to this verse. Do We ever diminish the wealth of the one who gives thanks? it says. So if people had been Muslims, Muslims with one another, in an air of brotherhood, living days like festivals, days like festivals living, within our Lord's commands, this world in perfect order they would live, and our Lord would give to them more and more. Yes.

In this case people would not be much wronged. But unfortunately, with the decisions man made within his own will, with his wishes and desires, they had their destinies written. In this case Allah Almighty, within their destinies, their provisions according to their wishes and desires He gives. What does He say? (?) We do not load it on your back, He says. A wealth outside the destinies, what would He give? Or a lack outside their destiny, nor would He impose it on them. So the wishing is in man, the giving is from Allah. Man will wish; whatever is in his destiny, that person will ask for. And his Lord will grant it to him, will give.

Because He created, He is guarantor of our provisions, and within our destiny our provision He will distribute to us. And in giving it, sometimes through lack, sometimes through wealth, us as witnesses to ourselves He will make. Yes.

Here the aim of eating from above them, in the first meaning, is Allah, with abundant rain mercy, providing for them. Yes. If it did not rain, the plants growing on the ground beneath our feet, how would they grow? Everything would turn to straw, dry up, fall away and come to nothing like (?). So here the aim of eating from above them, in the first meaning, is Allah, with abundant rain mercy, providing for them. In the second meaning, it recalls that in the time of Moses, by sending them from the (?) of paradise quail meat and manna, He fed them. And from beneath their feet they would have eaten.

The meaning here is, besides producing and eating from what the earth grows, besides that, another meaning is, yes,

underground resources, such as diamond, gold and copper mines, countless various resources. Yes.

Another meaning refers to the Jewish community living scattered on the earth and their being unable to found a homeland until the Day of Resurrection. The Jews founding a homeland is among the signs of the Last Day. The Noble Messenger and Honoured Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), in some of his hadiths about the signs of the Last Day, reports these things. If we list a few of them: The emergence of the Dajjal. The Dajjal will emerge. He describes the Dajjal. He is one-eyed. He will go around the world in three steps, he says. I used to say, my God, what a huge man. My children, I used to say that. What a huge man.

So he will have an eye on his forehead, a single eye. They still (?) people. I say now, if he goes around the world in these three or four steps, the length of his foot is perhaps bigger than our Turkey. The mould of one foot, one shoe, the other shoe too, bigger than Turkey. Well, he will go around the world in three or four steps like this; can you imagine his size? Like this, I used to say he crushes the places he steps on; how will this come out like this? So then, the Dajjal is the one-eyed television. That too is the Dajjal's instrument. Then the real Dajjal is the media itself. The media itself.

But some of the people within it are an exception. Just as Allah Almighty says of non-Muslims, those among them are an exception, within the lives of non-Muslims, if He says those among them are an exception, within the Dajjal too there are exceptions. Because Allah Almighty will show them to them as an example. Yes. They, it says, will create storms in a spoonful of water, it says. In a spoonful of water. In one of his hands fire, in the other water. If he shows fire, it says, it is water; if he shows water, it is fire. O my community, do not believe him, he says. So it is not that one-eyed, not that one-eyed device, but the one who runs it, that is, who makes it speak, the one-eyed's owner, the two-legged Dajjal.

There, he goes around the world in three or four seconds. With televisions, with the internet, he goes around in three or four seconds. Within every kind of (?), within them. Isn't it so? Yes.

The emergence of the Dajjal, Jesus descending to earth, and his becoming of the community of the Mahdi and serving together, the Jews founding a homeland, and finally the sun setting in the west and rising from the west, such are some events. Yes, these are the signs of the Last Day. And how will the sun rising from the west and setting in the west happen? Setting in the west and rising from the west: the sun's (?) will erase the (?) at the North Pole, which is being erased. Being erased. With the tearing of the ozone layer, reddenings appear at the North Pole. When the (?) of that North Pole is erased, the earth's rotation around its own axis decreases, and it is decreasing. Every year it decreases by seconds.

And finally, when the earth reaches zero point, it will start turning the other way. Because the (?) of the South Pole, its mass, is the same. And the (?) of the North Pole has lost its power, lost its mass. With the South Pole pushing it from the reverse side, the earth around its own axis round and round will spin. And finally, because of centrifugal force, the earth will explode. There is a verse for you. When the earth throws out what is within it, when the mountains pass like clouds, when the seas swell, when the sky (?) like molten metal; He created all with knowledge, it will end with knowledge. It is not known.

Yes. So reading the verses and passing over them quickly is one thing. Passing over such verses knowingly is quite another.

Among them there is a group that does not go to excess, thrifty and moderate. Not going to excess. This group has accepted Islam. But they are people hidden among them. These, unlike the other deniers, worshipping not pomp, ego and (?), are people who do not go to the unlawful and adultery. They are people who know Allah's command and serve Allah.

But apart from this minority, how evil is what most of them do.

How evil. Allah Almighty always to these people throws in their faces the evil of what they do. But once in a person the vein of life, the vein of shame has burst, that is, if his character has no traits of being in the religion of Islam, what he does, it says, how evil it is. How evil. Why how evil? He knows he was created. He knows he was created by one Allah. Associating partners with Allah besides Allah, imputing guilt to Allah is because of his deifying his own nafs. Because if he was created by a god, by a Lord created, he knows it. He was created by one Allah. Is associating partners with Him not betraying Him?

All people without exception know they were created by a single Lord. What does Allah Almighty say? Yes, they said, He says. Yes, that is, I was created. I was created. But he could not believe in his Lord whom he saw as like himself. That is why we came to the world. (?) a world. Well, in this case every person knows he was created by a Lord, yet from his own nafs (?), the majesty of his own nafs, the greatness of his own nafs, deifying his own nafs, when he turns his back on Allah, does this person not become ungrateful to Allah? To satisfy his own nafs, does he not turn his back on Allah? In this case, though knowing he was created by a Lord, though knowing that by a God he was created, to call Jesus His son, to call Mary His wife, does it befit him?

I mean, if we think about it, he is both to be created by a Lord, and Jesus is to be His son. Mary is to be (?) wife. Or Ezra is to be His son. And here gods have multiplied. Just as inheritance passes from father to son, in these worlds from father to son inheritance passes. If He is Allah, even if immortal, even if He is immortal, He has sons, He has a wife. Well, since in these worlds inheritance passes to them, a partner has been associated with Him. Now, does your mind and logic accept this? Both a Lord creates you, and you that Lord's sons, how shall I put it, wife, think that way and associate a partner with Him, associate an associate.

Would such a Lord ever need a wife, a son? Because one was created by a single Lord. What happens this time? Gods multiply. Indeed, look what it says: even if He had a son, even if He had a son, one day the son would oppose his father; if besides Allah there (?) another god, he would take what he created, he too would take what he created, the world would drown in corruption, it says. What would happen? That god too, being His son, would start creating too, the son, because a god will create, when he too starts creating, Allah Almighty, he too will take what he created, I too will take what I created this time, He says.

Just as in the world, how shall I put it, if in a land there is a president of the republic, and then in the cities governing this land there are governors, governors, well, all of them as if they had become that god's sons, they too would make other places, create other places, gods would multiply. Whereas there is no such thing at all. Up to this time no such thing has ever emerged; every soul that came tasted death. But God is immortal. In Surah Al-Ikhlas: Kul huvallâhu ehad, Allâhu's-samed, lem yelid ve lem yûled, ve lem yekun lehû küfuven ehad. Allah, it says, has neither family nor child.

He is one in His essence, it says, one. (?) you both know Him as one and attribute partners to Him. Now, are you intelligent? Do you have a mind?

If we think about it. In every respect non-Muslims their mindlessness before Allah's verses prove. Before Allah's verses. They prove it with the verse. O people, we are mindless. What we say is all words that contradict one another. They say this. Well, Hodja, mindless, yet they do so much work. Allah gave a mind. And look, He created man talented. Their minds reaching to the world is one thing. Another. And using his mind, comparing, with the ability to compare, knowing or not knowing Allah's oneness is another. (?) he will work. He will receive in return for his work. Because He created man talented.

He does not discriminate between servants. But (?) their minds (?). Because one Muslim is worth three non-Muslims, He says. With what? With his mind. Yes.

But apart from this minority, how evil is what most of them do, it says. How evil. So with this mindlessness opposing Allah Almighty and being ungrateful to Him, how evil, it says. Will We not one day ask for the account of this, He says. Do they think what they did will remain to their profit, He says. Yes.

These do not recognize Allah and book, live by their nafs, do not heed lawful and unlawful, recognize no one above their own being, consume interest with money games, in pride and ego they live. There, these are on evil deeds. May Allah grant them a good mind. They have minds, but may He reform them, reform. But the person must want it so that Allah reforms; if the person does not want it
