Allah is the One Who has granted you life, and Who will then deliver you death, and then Allah will resurrect you. However, the humankind (except for some) is very ungrateful.
Tafsir
In the previous verse, Allah (swt) has informed us with certainty and inevitability that He is the Lord of all creation, and that He has protected the world by protecting the floating ships and the stars in the heavens so that they do not harm the world. In this verse, our Lord informs us that He is the One who gives us life, then kills us, then resurrects us and holds us to account. In this case, our Lord asks us not to disobey Allah (swt) and fail in worship, and to be grateful to Him for the blessings He has bestowed upon us. In return, He informs people that He has prepared for them a home of bliss in the Hereafter, and that only those who obey Allah will attain this home of bliss.
But people are very ungrateful. People, in the face of a little benefit they will see in someone else, they will thank the one who will provide this benefit to them a thousand times. But he does not remember that Allah has provided this benefit to him and does not thank Allah for it. Man eats and drinks Allah's blessings and acts as if they are his own right and does not want to see the giver of them. Again, despite enjoying all of Allah's blessings, man forsakes Allah and demands from Allah's creatures. These events are very painful. These are the conditions of people who are in rebellion and hatred against Allah. For such ungrateful people Allah has prepared the abode of Hell in the Hereafter.
What is said in the video
We have come to verse 66 of Surah Al-Hajj.
He is the One who first gave you life,
Pay attention to the verses here. He is the One who gives you life, then will cause you to die, then will bring you back to life again. Truly, with some exceptions, people are very ungrateful. We have corrected this part. Whereas in this verse, Surah Al-Hajj, it isn't written that way. We didn't mark this in green. Why didn't we mark it?
Well, 330, first, Surah Al-Hajj, verse 66.
Yes. He is the One who first gave you life, then will cause you to die, then will bring you back to life again.
We corrected it; since it appears here this way too, we didn't correct it. He – truly, with some exceptions, people are very ungrateful. Here it says people are very ungrateful. We corrected this part. We said some people. The reason: when it is said people are very ungrateful, Allah Almighty could not create a good person. That is, it would mean He could not create any person who is never ungrateful. That concerns Allah's attributes. Some people are very ungrateful. Yes. Now in this verse: He who first gave you life. This part has a double meaning.
The real giving of life, the real place where we found life, our first creation, is the realm of Lahut. In the realm of spirits. Our original homeland. And we, separated from the body, will not enter Paradise and Hell with the body. After the bodies die a second time, after they die, the spirit, nafs and soul are one, the bodies are separate. Because the bodies are separate – just as Allah Almighty created our spirits, then created Adam's body from clay, then breathed the spirit into it, then to Satan and the angels said: Prostrate – right? So the body is separate; spirit, nafs and soul are separate.
In this case: He who first gave you life, that is, who first, in the realm of Lahut, created us while we were spirits, then the One who will cause you to die – bringing us into the world, in the garb of the body in the world, after we prove what kind of person we are, He will cause us to die, then will bring us back to life. Why? To give account of what we did, our body against our spirit He will (?). Is there a verse on this? There is. And how many! Look what it says. When you come before Me with a driver – so body and spirit are separate. Then when the spirits are paired – that is, the body, what?
When it comes face to face with the spirit, We will, it says, silence your mouths, bind your feet, make your hands speak. And the spirit will say: Why are you speaking against me? And the body will say: Allah, who makes me speak, makes me speak. After the testimony is over, the body will say to the spirit exactly this: You are being returned to the One who first created – and saying this it will die there a second time. So, since there is no death for spirits, and since He says: We give you life twice and cause you to die twice – together with the bodies those ignorant people who say (?), who do not understand the verse, but and together with the body those who put them into Paradise and Hell, where did they hide the second death?
They know nothing of Allah's attributes.
He follows every stubborn devil. Every stubborn devil. He wants to throw falsehood over the truth. So the body will die there a second time. According to the verse: We give you life twice and cause you to die twice. Again, since spirit, nafs and soul are immortal, after their accounts are reckoned, they will be put into Paradise and Hell. Yes.
Allah Almighty – what He is capable of with knowledge – in the previous verse, the floating ships, and how He put the world under protection so that the stars in the heavens do not harm the world, and that He is the Lord of all created beings – definitively and inescapably He has made this known to us. In this verse our Lord makes known to us that He is the One who gives life and then causes death, then will raise us again and call us to account. In this case, what our Lord wants from us is that we not be disobedient to Allah Almighty nor fall short in worship, and in return for the blessings Allah Almighty gave, that we give thanks to Him – this He wants.
In return He makes known that He has prepared an abode of bliss for people in the Hereafter, and that this abode of bliss only those who obey Allah will attain. But people are very ungrateful. People, for a small benefit they would see from someone else, bow a thousand times before the one who will provide that benefit. But that even for the one who provided the benefit, it was Allah who provided the benefit – they don't remember this and don't thank Allah. Man eats and drinks the blessings Allah gave, acting as if they were his own right, and does not see the One who gives them. And again, although man benefits from all of Allah's blessings, he leaves Allah and asks from Allah's creatures.
These are very bitter matters.
Yes.
In this case, rebellion against Allah and (?) – the state of people who are in it drags a person into disaster. For such ungrateful people Allah, in the Hereafter, in the realm of the Hereafter, has prepared the abode of Hell. Yes. Here, for people harming people and acting against the laws of the state, they are punished, they are put into prisons. Our Lord too created us, made us honorable above the worlds, made us the ones His essence addresses, He did not say: Work and give to Me, He prepared everything and placed it before us, He only said: Know Me. In this case, if you turn your back on Him, if you rebel against Him – just as in the world prisons are prepared for those who act against the laws of the state, so Allah Almighty, in the realm of the Hereafter, has prepared for people the abode of Hell.
