We have shown to each nation a means of worshipping that they would perform. So, they (the people of the Book) should not argue with you on this matter. Invite (others) to your Lord. Verily, you are certainly on a straight path.
Tafsir
According to the intellectual development of the people in ancient times, Allah (swt) informed them about the Prophets and the forms of worship they could perform. He wanted them to worship without putting a burden on people that they could not bear, so that they would know that He is great. In this respect, in the Books in the hands of these people, He has described that the Prophet of the End Times will come, that his name will be Ahmad, Muhammad and his description. In this respect, all the Prophets knew the Prophet (SAW) as they knew their children.
When Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH), the Prophet of Hatemen (peace be upon him), appeared in the world. When he declared his Prophethood at the age of forty and invited people to Allah, the people of the People of the Book could not digest the Prophet they expected from among themselves because he came from the Arab tribe. They deliberately denied the Prophet (SAW). Allah warns those of the People of the Book. (So let them (the People of the Book) not dispute with you in this matter. Invite them to your Lord) by saying: O you of the People of the Book! Are you going to knowingly deny the Prophet, whose description is described in the Book in your hands, who was the son of Abdullah, who grew up an orphan, and whose mother's name was Emine? He is telling you to give up this matter. If you do not give it up, you have no power to harm the religion of Allah. The Prophet will continue his invitation. Allah will complete His light and will continue it until the Day of Resurrection.
O glorious Prophet! You are indeed on a straight path in the Religion of Islam. Let it not affect you that people try to deceive you, or mock you, or call you a madman and a lunatic, or leave you alone. (Feintawallaw fegulhasbiyallahu La ilaha illa hu, alaihi tawwakkeltu wahuwa Rab'bul arshil azim) (O Muhammad!) If they turn away, say, "Allah is sufficient for me, there is no God but Him. I put my trust in Him alone. He is the Owner of the Throne of Glory.
What is said in the video
Surah Al-Hajj, the 67th verse. For every community We have shown a manner of worship that they practice. How beautifully Allah Almighty says it. This is very just. And it shows that Allah Almighty in no way makes things hard for people, for the people He created – it shows that. These words. Only this part. Look what it says. For every community a manner of worship that they practice We have shown. Now, the worship in the time of Moses, the worship the communities before Moses did, and in the time of Jacob (peace be upon him), in the time of Abraham (peace be upon him), the worship, in the time of David, the worship done in the time of Jesus – is it the same? The worship done by the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and the worship his community does, and that of the other past peoples – is it the same?
How beautifully He says it. For every community We have shown a manner of worship that they practice. Which verse does this verse support? We do not place on people a burden they cannot bear, it says. We do not load it onto their backs, it says. We never intend injustice to the worlds, it says. Yes. (?). To what Allah has imposed with justice.
So they, the People of the Book – let them not dispute with you in this matter, it says. The People of the Book. Let them not dispute with you. That is, with the Christians' forms of worship. Then, although We gathered all the books in the Quran, although We showed everyone a form of worship, now to the worlds, it says, as a mercy to the worlds I sent the Quran to all of you, it says. The Quran. Yes. I sent the Noble Quran. This verse. This Quran. So the book of those People of the Book is also within it, it says. So let them not dispute with you. Let them be brothers with you. Let them become Muslim. Let them enter Islam.
Inne'd-dîne inda'llâhi'l-islâm. The religion in the sight of Allah is Islam. Yes.
Invite to your Lord. How beautifully He says it. For you are truly on a straight path, it says. yes, invite to your Lord what is this like? let's say among the seeds there are rotten seeds too when you sow them in the field, do those rotten seeds sprout? They don't. So everyone has a covenant they gave to Allah Almighty. Unless my Lord wills, you cannot will. That is, as long as Allah does not change people's destinies, you are not able to change your own destinies. A word also came forth from Us. Paradise and Hell.
With Us there is a book that is preserved in the Preserved Tablet. According to the verse: nothing is later taken from it nor added to it.
What is written is written, and the pens that wrote have dried.
So from now on, if every person, by his own wish and desire, has had his own destiny written, since no one can step outside that destiny, what does it say? Invite to your Lord. For you are truly on a straight path. Yes.
Allah Almighty, in ancient times, according to people's mental development, to them the prophets too – the forms of worship they could perform He made known. So that they know His essence is great, without loading onto people's backs a burden they cannot bear, He wanted them to worship. For this reason, in the books in these people's hands, He described that the Prophet of the end times would come, that his name is Ahmad, Muhammad, and his appearance. For this reason all the prophets knew the Prophet (peace be upon him) as they knew their own children.
So when the Seal of the Prophets, Muhammad (peace be upon him), honored the world with his coming,
when the time came, at 40, he declared his prophethood and invited people to Allah, those of the People of the Book, the prophet they expected from among themselves, since he came from the Arab people, could not stomach.
The Prophet (peace be upon him), knowingly, they set out to deny.
These, in fact, because they could not comprehend the truth, because they rebelled against Allah, because they acted with feelings of the nafs and with prejudices, knowing the truth as truth and despite seeing the truth, they turned their backs on the truth.
How did they see the truth? And why did they turn their backs?
They too knew that the Prophet of the end times would come.
Between each prophet, no more than a hundred years had passed.
Between Jesus and the Prophet, four centuries passed. Four centuries.
The Jews were afraid, the Israelites, that the Day of Judgment was about to come. When the Prophet (peace be upon him) appeared, since he did not come from among them, they set out to deny him. They denied knowingly.
They declared their foolishness, their ignorance, that they rebelled against Allah, and that with prejudice, with feelings of the nafs, they raised the flag of rebellion against Allah. In what? Allah Almighty – the worlds from the light of the Prophet, the prophets from the spirit of the Prophet, and in the prophets' spirits the spirits of their peoples – since He created them, all who have lived, from our father Adam, until the Day of Judgment, the people to come – from the Prophet's spirit we comprehend they were created. acting with prejudice, raising against Allah the flag of rebellion, among people seeing themselves as superior, separating themselves into peoples, (?) in order to be heads over them, against Allah's commands even, knowingly, these people who oppose – as far as Allah Almighty has informed us, such people are a cursed loss, He says.
Yes.
All people, our father Adam included, included – from the spirit of the Prophet they are created. He is the greatest and the father of all people. For this reason: ve mâ erselnâke illâ rahmeten li'l-âlemîn.
The ignorant deny this. Were it not for you, I would not have created these worlds. The ignorant deny this. Now think. Allah Almighty, who, as the one His essence addresses, created the Prophet first from His light, then gave him from His spirit, then from his light created the universe, and from his spirit the prophets and their peoples – if the Prophet (peace be upon him) had not been, would these worlds exist? If Allah did not exist, would the Prophet exist?
These are all connected to one another. People who cannot grasp this depth raise the (?) of ignorance and, following every stubborn devil, they talk.
Yes.
They don't like Metin Hodja.
They get irritated by Metin Hodja. Instead of getting irritated by Metin Hodja – to the one who tells the truth, even if you don't value him, do value the words that come out of his mouth. He tells you what you don't know, he teaches you the verses.
If Metin Hodja irritates you, first be suspicious of yourself, if you say I love Allah. Ask your inner world. I wonder, do you love the world, or do you love Allah? Do you love your nafs, or do you love Allah? Ask yourself this. Your conscience will tell you, but with your conscience, with your own nafs, your conscience do not deceive.
Yes.
Someone invited me to a meal.
We went along with the gentleman. One should accept an invitation, after all. We talk over the meal.
So, I went on Umrah and came back. I'll go on Hajj too, and so on.
I said: You must love your religion very much. I love it very much, she said. I said: You must love Allah very much too. You love very much, she said. I love Him very much, she said. I said: I don't see you that way at all.
I'm talking with my wife. I don't see you that way at all, she said. She seemed sort of upset. I said: If you loved Allah very much – First of all I would cover my head, she said. I would do what Allah says, she said.
She hung her head. So you love your nafs more, I said.
Those irritated by Metin Hodja should ask themselves too.
One's mind shows the truth. The conscience aches. But the nafs wants to stop the conscience. Because the nafs pleases a person. the world's attraction that pleases the nafs, one's own beauty or one's conceit keep a person away from his Lord's command. We are Muslims. We are people who utter the word of testimony. What do we say? I bear witness that there is no god but Allah. And I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and messenger. So Allah Almighty commands us. If you have said this, there are five obligations.
After the word of testimony, you will pray, you will fast, you will go on Hajj – you utter the word of testimony. In this case: you prayed, you went, and there you uncovered your head. Fine, in one place you fulfilled His command, in another you earned sin; like a bucket with a hole in the bottom, you poured the water in here and lost it out the bottom. If we are Muslims, we must practice Islam. In this case we end up as liars. We end up drawn more to our nafs than to Allah.
As much as we can, we will live Islam.
With the truth, our Lord's (?) ruling (?) – we will try as much as we can. Yes, what do we say? So when the Seal of the Prophets, Muhammad (peace be upon him), honored the world, when the time came, at 40 years of age, he declared his prophethood and invited people to Allah, those of the People of the Book, the prophet they expected from among themselves, since he came from the Arab people, could not stomach. The Prophet (peace be upon him), knowingly, they set out to deny. So Allah, those of the People of the Book, warns: So they, that is, those People of the Book, in this matter let them not dispute with you; invite to your Lord – by saying this: O People of the Book, O you who are of the People of the Book, in the book in your hands, in the book, whose appearance is described, and the son of Abdullah, who grew up an orphan, whose mother's name is Amina, the prophet – now will you knowingly deny him?
Give up this matter, He commands. If you do not give up this matter, yes,
to harm Allah's religion, the power you do not have. The Prophet will continue his invitation. And Allah will complete His light and keep it until the Day of Judgment.
O glorious Prophet, you are truly, with the religion of Islam, on a straight path. People trying to deceive you, mocking you, or calling you mad and possessed, leaving you alone – let it not affect you. For you are (?) of your Lord, He commands. Fe in tevellev fe kul hasbiya'llâhu lâ ilâhe illâ hû, aleyhi tevekkeltü ve hüve rabbü'l-arşi'l-azîm. Yes, if they turn away, say: Allah is enough for me. There is no god but Him. I have put my trust in Him alone and relied on Him. He is the Lord of the mighty Throne.
