Do you say “How does this happen?” when a calamity comes upon you (in Uhud), while you had inflicted them (your enemies) with one twice as great (in Badr)? Undoubtedly, Allah is All-Powerful.
Tafsir
In the Battle of Badr, the Muslims defeated the enemy, killing seventy of them and taking seventy captives, even though the enemy ranks were twice their own.
In Uhud, the Muslims lost seventy martyrs. When a calamity that you brought upon your enemy in Badr, who was twice your size, befell you, did you say, "How is this possible? Do you want to be victorious even if you disobey orders? Do you want to be victorious even if there are no martyrs in battle?
Say: It is your own fault. In this verse, it is emphasized that the archers left their places, and this calamity has befallen you because of the disobedience of the archers who were placed by the Prophet (PBUH) and left their places. Surely Allah is all-powerful. If He wills, He can create what He wills at any time, and you will be victorious even without fighting. Surely Allah is all-powerful. But Allah wants you to kill your enemies with your own hands. Allah wants to make martyrs out of you.
What is said in the video
Surah Al Imran, verse 165: that is where we stopped. Our daughter (?) writes it so nicely every week, at the end of every lesson. We find it without searching at all.
Allah Almighty, in His verse,
'At Badr,' He says, 'at Badr.'
'Is it because a calamity, twice the like of which you brought upon your enemy, at Uhud befell you yourselves, that you said: How does this happen? Say: It is from your own fault. Indeed, Allah has power over all things.'
At Badr, even though there were twice as many people, even though the enemy's numbers were very great, their destroying them there, winning the victory, the Islamic force winning the victory, Allah Almighty, with angels a thousand in succession, with three thousand angels, helping the Prophet. Well, after destroying them, routing them, now at Uhud, He says, your saying 'How can this happen?' — that is, 'There our helper was Allah, why did He not help us here?' — are such words what you are saying? He says. Is it words like this you are saying? 'That is your own mistake,' He says. What was the mistake? Disobeying the order: although he said 'Do not leave your posts', carried away by victory (?), they left the cavalry units and abandoned their posts.
Yes, the Muslims who routed the enemy at the Battle of Badr, although the enemy ranks were twice their size, killed seventy of their enemies and took seventy captive. Yes. At Uhud, however, the Muslims lost 70 martyrs. 'A calamity which you brought upon your enemy at Badr, twice your own number, when it befell you too, did you say: How does this happen?' He says. If you had not disobeyed the order, would...? If you had not, would...? You will say: How can this be? That is, Allah Almighty, our Lord, Eleysallahu bi-ahkemi'l-hâkimîn, will you accuse Him of injustice? Yes, while disobeying the order, do you want to prevail?
Do you even want to win victory without losing a single martyr? Is it victory without losing any martyrs that you want? Yet in Allah Almighty's verse: first, We say, We take those We love from among you, the martyrs. (?). During battle, at first it seems as if Islam is being defeated. Then it wins the battle. Of course, if it stands firm, if it resists. Our ancestors gave the finest example of this. They fell to 10 million, yet they stood firm. They were ready to fight until only one person was left. And those 10 million people have today brought forth 70 million, 72 million people, brought forth (?). By His existence, by Allah's grace.
They gave these people a homeland. Say: It is from your own fault. This verse stresses the archers' abandoning their posts. Because the archers placed by the Prophet (peace be upon him) disobeyed his order and abandoned their posts, this calamity befell you. Indeed, Allah has power over all things. Amenna ve saddakna.
Yes, if He wills, He creates what He wants the moment He wants, and you would prevail even without deserving it, of course. He does what He wants the moment He wants; if He wills, He destroys the (?) there too, just as Allah Almighty destroyed the people of Ad, the people of Thamud, the flood of Lot, rather, I mean, as He destroyed the people of Lot; He wills, but He destroys them (?). He does it; this is within Allah's power, nothing is hard for Allah. But since you came into the world to prove what kind of people you are, everyone will play out the nature in their own destiny, and they will prove to themselves what kind of people they are.
Indeed, Allah has power over all things. But Allah wants you to kill your enemies with your own hands. This too is a verse. We said that Allah Almighty also wants to take martyrs from among you. That's how it is.
Verse 165 ends like this. The core meaning here, the core meaning here, is that Islam should not break its unity and togetherness, should obey the order, that right and justice be carried out; that is the core meaning here. Yes.
