They are the ones who are miserly and suggest others to be miserly and who hide what Allah has given them from Allah’s bounties. We prepared a humiliating punishment for the deniers.

Tafsir

There are such people who cannot get enough of the wealth and property that Allah has given them out of His grace, when some people are greedy for material things, that is, out of their stinginess. For fear that they will lose their wealth and become poor, they constantly increase their love for worldly goods and try to sit on them. He also does not consider these goods or money that he has earned and received as a reward for his labor, and he sells them at an exorbitant price, or he is a traitor to the place where he works, saying that I should have had more, that this amount of earnings is too little compared to this work.

Such people not only do not give to anyone from what they earn, but they also advise those around them to be stingy. If these people see a person helping another person, they feel as if a piece of their own life is being torn away from them, and they say to the person who is helping them, why are you helping them, they have a good hand and foot, let them work for it, money is not easy to earn. What will you do if you are unemployed tomorrow or if you cannot sell your goods and your earnings decrease, he says, and advises them not to be stingy and deprive them of help. They prevent people from doing good and good deeds.

According to the verse (Satan frightens man with poverty), man will receive whatever sustenance Allah has ordained for him. Allah creates causes for him and that sustenance comes to him. Goods and property are created for the sustenance of people in this world. People receive rewards and sins through their behavior and speech when they receive or use these goods and property. When a person falls prey to Satan's temptation and does not give from his wealth to those in need out of fear of poverty, and when a needy person comes to him and asks for a loan, as if he is asking for the life of the miser, the stingy person tells the needy person that he does not have any money, lying and lying, the needy person is almost in a position to help the stingy person. In return for the wealth that Allah (swt) graciously and generously gives to such stingy people, the stingy people thus increase their love for wealth and become stingy by following the footsteps of Shaytan and lying to the needy.

Because such people are very materialistic, they have attached their love to property and possessions. They have forgotten Allah. Allah says, "We have prepared a humiliating punishment for the disbelievers. It is useful to explain and repeat these verses. This is because Allah (swt) repeats His Verses over and over again. Allah (swt) repeats many verses with different meanings, because the verses that are repeatedly mentioned cause people to be guided at some point.

The humiliating torment is for those who are stingy, who worship matter, who put Allah's creations above Allah, who do not believe in the Hereafter, who turn their backs on Allah, who collect wealth without saying halal or haram, who sleep and sleep with this wealth, and who are stingy and do not give their wealth to anyone, while in the world they boast of their wealth created by Allah and show off. Or those who hide their wealth in piles, who think they are superior to people with their wealth, they will be alone in the Hereafter because they have no share in the Hereafter. Property and wealth belong to Allah. In the Hereafter, all the wealth and property of these misers will be taken away from them. This is because in this world they were attached to Allah's creatures and turned their backs on Allah (swt). On the Day of Reckoning, these spendthrifts will be naked and empty-handed. When the needy people, whom they despise, see that they have been favored by Allah (swt) and have high degrees, then those people who are greedy for wealth, those who are stingy, will rebel against those people with hatred and hatred in their hearts when they see their opponents in that state. Not only will this be the humiliating torment for people, but people in this situation will also increase their hatred against Allah (swt). They will remain in Hell for eternity with their hatred and rebellion. Because of this hatred, people will be tormented in Hell with even more torments.

May Allah (swt) grant guidance to all people and make it possible for them to be a servant to Him and an ummah to His Messenger.

What is said in the video

We left off at Surah An-Nisa, verse 37, sir; let's mark it from here.

In the verse: these are the ones who are stingy and recommend stinginess to people, and who hide what Allah has given them of His bounty.

We have prepared a humiliating punishment for the unbelievers, says Allah Almighty. Who are these? Those blinded by worldly desire, their eyes blind, who have turned their backs on the hereafter for the desire of the world, who have fixed their eyes on worldly goods. If you loaded all the wealth of the world on their backs, as if it were mountains they would take it on, as if standing on their feet; even if they were crushed under it like a millstone wheel, these stingy people, because of their (?) for worldly goods, never want to give it up — stingy people, people who have fixed their eyes on the world.

Wretched people who love what Allah gave more than Allah and turn their backs on Allah. These people don't know what being satisfied is. They even try to hinder people who want to help. In this case, to people who crave worldly goods as if they would never die and cling to them, Allah Almighty says there is a humiliating punishment in hell. And the meaning of this humiliating punishment is this. This person who can never get enough of worldly goods, who boasts of his wealth like Korah, who sees people beneath him and himself far above people — with his wealth, of course, far above —

these people who go about among people with glory, fame, pride and arrogance, when in the realm of the hereafter they see the people they looked down on living in paradise like royalty, they will shrink before them. Just as we watch the other end of the world on television, Allah Almighty will show them those in paradise. That is a humiliating punishment. That punishment of hell — when he sees the people he looked down on, boasting of his wealth and property and seeing himself as their master, in royal splendour in paradise, then that punishment of hell will seem little to him. Because their pride and arrogance are fiercer than that punishment and greater, these people who were in that greatness, when they see the people they looked down on living in great splendour in paradise, will be stunned.

You know, the man who was praised for his wealth and property — his wealth and property are gone; these are left there alone, with no one. Instead of building up the realm of the hereafter, people deceived by the passing life of a few hours in this world, who fix their eyes on the world, see it through rose-tinted glasses, and (?) — they go bankrupt in the hereafter.

There are such people that, toward the wealth and property Allah gave of His bounty, some people, when they are greedy for material things — I mean out of their stinginess — never get enough of wealth and property. However much I give. They care neither for lawful nor unlawful, nor for people's rights and dues, and they even take pleasure in deceiving people. "I fooled so-and-so, took his property from him" — with pride they set out to tell people about it. That's what such people are like.

Sir, these never get enough of wealth and property. Afraid that their wealth will leave their hands and they will become poor, they keep increasing their love for worldly goods and try to sit on top of that wealth. As if (?). (?). I mean, the world is everlasting, and he too, with that everlasting wealth of his, sir, will live in the world. Yet Allah Almighty says in the verse that the enjoyment of the world is for a short time. Yes.

Moreover, he does not see this wealth or money that he earned and received by toil as the reward of his labour, and says "my due should have been more; compared to this work, this earning is little", and sells the goods he sells at an exorbitant price, or does (?) at the place he works. Who are these? People who fix their (?) on the world.

Korah says so too, when he swaggered out before his people: these are possessions I acquired through my knowledge, he says. Allah Almighty says his people would struggle to carry the load of his keys. The loads of the keys to his treasury. In return for my knowledge, he says. (?), instead of saying so, say: it is a favour from Allah to you, it says. Yes, but to those who envied him Allah Almighty shows a very fine lesson. One day, as Korah again comes out before his people, swaggering, Allah Almighty sinks his palace into the depths of the earth together with him.

So people like this not only give nothing to anyone from what they earn, they also recommend stinginess to those around them. We see — look, when some people are about to give someone help: "you're getting them used to wickedness; they are able-bodied, look, let them work, why are you giving to them; tomorrow you'll need that money you gave, what will you do then, who will help you?" — so to people, to those people who reach out a helping hand, they become an obstacle. These people, if they see a person helping another, as if a piece of their own flesh were being torn off, they say to the one helping: why are you helping them? They are able-bodied, let them work and earn; is money easy to earn? If tomorrow you're out of work, or can't sell goods, or your income falls, what will you do? And they advise them to be stingy and to withhold help.

They try to hinder the charity and good deeds people would do. Such people are increasing more and more on earth. People no longer know what helping is. In one way too,

people did it to themselves. They are doing it to themselves. How are they doing it to themselves? Now, in my youth, when I drove, whoever I saw on the road, I'd pick them up and take them along. Now I can't pick up a single person. The reason: when you pick him up, two metres, ten metres, twenty metres further on the man kills you. You can't trust the man. So we have no trust left in one another. Why is that? Because we don't live the religion of Islam, because the fear of Allah and His Messenger is not in our hearts. Yes, mutual help too, like this — we broke away from each other; we said you for yourself, me for myself.

Yet Allah Almighty commands unity and togetherness. If you are in unity and togetherness, you form a force, He says. A force. How will we preserve our unity and togetherness? By helping one another, loving one another, carrying one another, by losing one another's faults within ourselves — that's how we can protect our unity and togetherness. But where? Everyone tries to dig a pit for the other. Nobody wants anyone to be above himself. What does this mean? With weakness of faith, people fixing their eyes on the world and people breaking away and separating from each other.

If we think it over: slowly drifting away from Islam, weakening the faith in our hearts, as Ja'far asked, we leave this faith in our hearts at the size of an atom.

In this case, in this case, instead of people's eyes being fixed on the world, where they should encourage people to help one another and, if necessary, help by giving a few coins from their own pocket, people who drive people apart from each other. These are increasing more and more. But my advice to you: never be one of them. Never be one of them. Yes.

The devil frightens man with poverty. The devil. This is a verse, in fact. According to the verse, whatever sustenance Allah has decreed for a person, that person will receive it. In return for the devil frightening man with poverty, Allah Almighty says: of those I keep alive, those I make live, those I created, I am the guarantor of their sustenance throughout their lives. I am the guarantor of their sustenance. So if Allah Almighty has remembered their sustenance, the devil's — but to a person who knows Allah, the devil's temptation here is ignorant. But for those who fix their eyes on the world, it's a very great sovereignty, a very great word.

They shoulder such temptation of the devil, adopt it as a load of books on their back, and agreeing with it, to the devil's frightening man with poverty they cling, sir, as if to a god. Because they have no faith, and they are people who have fixed their eyes on the world. Yes. Even if a Muslim fixes his eyes on the world — even if a Muslim fixes his eyes on the world, he fixes them up to a certain amount and then settles down. He is not like a non-Muslim.

Whatever sustenance Allah has decreed for a person, that person will receive it. Allah creates causes for him, and that sustenance comes to him. Wealth and property were created in the worldly realm for people's livelihood.

Allah Almighty will send people to a hidden realm. In this hidden realm these people will eat and drink. Eat and drink. And since He created them as the noblest creatures, He will make them vicegerents on earth. And with this eating and drinking, with the trading they will do — ah, so — in order to play out in the world, as an actor, the script of the covenant he gave at the address "your Lord", for wealth and property he will (?). While buying, making and selling these, whether he observes right and justice, sir, he will prove, and he will prove what kind of person he is. What a fine order He has set up.

In this trade we do through buying and selling, in this inclination we feel toward the world, if we always remember Allah, give thanks for the blessings Allah gives, and submit to Him, we will win the victory. Both in this world and in the hereafter we will become heirs to the gardens Allah Almighty promised. But if we turn our backs on Allah and fix our eyes on the swamp of this world, on that swamp that looks rose-coloured, what the two worlds could not do to us, we will do to our own selves. What will we do? We will leave our own selves (?) the punishment of the eternal realm. The two worlds can't do this to you.

Only you do it to yourself. So you will use your mind, you will be wise. Yes.

Allah creates causes for him, and that sustenance comes to him. Wealth and property were created in the worldly realm for people's livelihood. While acquiring or using this wealth and property, through their behaviour and their words people earn reward and sin. They earn reward and sin.

A person falls for the devil's temptation; out of fear of poverty he gives nothing from his wealth to the needy, and when someone in need comes to him and asks him for a loan, as if he were asking for that miser's life, the stingy person pours out all sorts of words to the needy one, saying he has no money, telling lies, lamenting so much that the needy person almost ends up helping this miser. Yes.

In return for the wealth Allah Almighty gave graciously and generously to such stingy people, those who increase their love like this follow the devil's footsteps, lie to those in need, act stingily and do not help them.

Yet what did Allah Almighty say in many verses? I told you, I don't want to say this, in case it occurs to you: "is the hodja after something else?" What did it say in the verse? Strive with your wealth and your lives. So if you had given that wealth to the needy and seen to his affairs in the world, Allah Almighty says: Let us finish a servant of Mine's work in the world, and I will finish his work in the hereafter. Who buys paradise with his wealth and his life? According to the verse: martyrs with their lives, and with their wealth those who give charity on Allah's path. These buy paradise with their lives and their wealth.

Allah created the wealth, Allah created the life, Allah created paradise; if you can give Allah what Allah created, you have sold it to Him. What a great favour this is from Allah to His servants. But to those who grasp it, who know, who know. Yes.

Because such people are very stingy with material things, they have tied their love to wealth and property. They have forgotten Allah. So Allah says: We have prepared a humiliating punishment for the unbelievers. It is useful to explain and repeat these verses. There is use in repeating them. Because for some things we have newly arrived children. When we repeat it to them too, what the humiliating punishment is, what a burning punishment is, we explain to them. The punishments are of various kinds. Because Allah Almighty too mentions His verses by constantly repeating them.

Since constantly mentioned verses cause people to find guidance at some point, Allah Almighty constantly repeats many verses in different meanings. In different meanings. The humiliating punishment: these misers, and those who, worshipping material things, hold what Allah created above Allah, who do not believe in the Day of Resurrection, the day of the hereafter, who turn their backs on Allah and amass wealth without regard for lawful or unlawful, who live and breathe this wealth, and people who are stingy and give nothing of their wealth to anyone — while in the world they swagger, boasting of the wealth Allah created.

Or those who hoard their wealth in heaps. Those who see themselves above people because of their wealth — since they have no share in the realm of the hereafter, they will be left alone in the realm of the hereafter. Alone. Wealth and property belong to Allah. They will leave his hands. So what did he do for Allah? Nothing. He just ate what Allah gave. And on top of that he denied Allah. And he denied the realms He created, that Allah created, the hidden realms. Who will be raised after death? they said. Will these rotting bones of ours be raised? they said. What does Allah Almighty say? Eve lem yera'l-insânü ennâ halaknâhü min nutfetin fe izâ hüve hasîmun mübîn. We created them, it says, plainly, openly, from (?).

Ve darabe lenâ meselen ve nesiye halkah, kâle men yuhyi'l-izâme ve hiye ramîm. They say, it says: will these rotting bones of ours be raised again? Say to them, it says, say to them, it says: for the one who created first, creating last is not hard. Yes. Allah is the Creator; He creates. If we look at this realm, these realms, nothing is a coincidence. Everything was created in order and harmony.

For thousands of years people have not found the secret in man's creation. Or they have not found the secret in the creation of living things. But these fierce enemies of Allah attribute what Allah created to nature: no, this came from that, this happened like this, this came out of the land, this went like this and like that, the dinosaurs became like this, those went like that, and there is no Allah. They all changed by themselves in the universe, in the universe. Yet Allah Almighty, creating this world He created as seventeen thousand realms, filtered the world — filtered it. Those fools, those wretched ignorant ones who think themselves scholars and deny Allah — if you ask them, they don't believe either, yet they see it in the world through the shortage of one creature.

Through the shortage of one creature they see the order around them break down. With the cheetahs dwindling, monkeys have swarmed the area and filth has taken over. They look and see: ah, this is a balance. So then they breed the cheetahs again. In this case, before Allah, who filters and arranges this balance like this, these people — what do they take themselves for, to pass judgements like this? But people far from Allah think it is just like this. They believe them. These are the ones leading the way in kufr. Yes.

Wealth and property belong to Allah. In the realm of the hereafter all the wealth and property of these misers has been taken from their hands. Because while in the world they attached themselves to what Allah created and turned their backs on Allah Almighty. These greedy misers, on that day of reckoning, are left empty-handed, stark naked. As for the needy people they looked down on, when they see that they, having attained Allah Almighty's favour, have high ranks, then those people who say (?) to wealth, the stingy ones, when they see the state of those opposite them, in their hearts toward those people they will rebel with grudge and hatred.

I mean, where does this grudge, hatred and rebellion come from? As if Allah who created them favoured them, loved them, and excluded these. And their own gods, their deities, will come, and they will take revenge on Allah. Within these grudges, the more they burn there, the more their grudges grow, and the more their grudges grow, the longer they will stay there eternally.

As for the needy people they looked down on, having attained Allah Almighty's favour — having attained His favour — when they see that they have high ranks, then those people who say (?) to wealth, the stingy ones, when they see the state of those opposite them, in their hearts toward those people they will rebel with grudge and hatred. Moreover, since they have become lowly before them, their shame before them, their falling into nothingness amid so much wealth, their separation from the wealth they loved most, their shrinking before the people they looked down on, will be more tormenting for them than even the punishment of hell.

That is how the humiliating punishment will be for people; moreover, the grudge of people in this state against Allah Almighty will grow. With these grudges and rebellions they will remain in hell forever. Because of these grudges, people will be punished in hell with even more varied punishments. We come again to the hadith Ja'far asked about. So in this situation, the one who has an atom's weight of faith in his heart will surrender to Allah and say: this punishment is too little for me, my Allah, he will say. Then his faith will have reached perfection, and he too will come out of hell. That is how the state of the one with faith, with an atom's weight of faith, and of those who go without faith will be separated.

May Allah Almighty grant guidance to all people, and make it possible and easy for them to be servants to Him and a community to His beloved. Yes.
