Oh people of the Book! While you see and know (the Truth), why do you deny the revelations of Allah!

Tafsir

Allah has given every intelligent person a mind that can recognize Him. Therefore, every human being with an intellect is capable of realizing the existence of Allah. This is due to Allah's art of speaking to people and Allah's infinite knowledge. Therefore, every human being knows the existence of Allah and understands the Verses from Allah. However, as we have mentioned in the above verse, once a person places the love of disbelief in his heart, and makes a bad covenant with his Lord in the next world, then he will never come to the truth. They cannot dry the veins of stubbornness and envy in themselves and find the truth. That is why, even though they know Allah and the truth, they cannot stop themselves from denying the Verses of Allah.

What is said in the video

Verse 70 of Surah Al-i Imran; praise be to Allah, we have come that far. O People of the Book! We always say, one must know the People of the Book very well. Everyone writes books, but no one can write a book like Allah. That is why the people of the books (?) Allah; and when it says People of the Book, what is understood is the books that come from Allah. The book that comes from Allah, People of the Book, that is, Allah Almighty, who is the master of the books, guiding people, guiding them without any deficiency: the light that Allah Almighty held before people to make their lives easier, to give them peace and to bring them out into the light, held before them.

So this is only the master of the books, that is, for a book that no one could write to be written by our Lord and sent to people: O People of the Book, that is, people who hold fast to Allah's book. People of the Book. People who hold fast to His book. But we abandon this too. We do not hold fast to Allah's book either. What do we do? We know nothing of hadith.

Nor do we know anything of knowledge. When I say knowledge, I mean knowing the meanings of the verses. He cites a source from so-and-so's book, a source from Mehmet's book, from Ahmet's book, a source from Hasan's book. Whereas it corresponds to neither a hadith nor a verse. This poor man cannot know that superstitions, together with deliberate words, were also inserted into the religion of Islam. He thought those were Ahmet's and Mehmet's books too. Yes, perhaps those who wrote them wrote with a sincere heart. But as others changed, as people's meanings changed, and with deliberate words being put in, being put in, these left that person's book, and under that person's name he presents them as a source from so-and-so's book.

Unaware of Allah's verse, unaware of the hadith, sir, in this way he thinks himself a scholar. So He calls out to them: O People of the Book! That is, those who hold fast to the book. If only we held fast to the book too. If only we would leave Ahmet's and Mehmet's knowledge and hold fast to our book. Why do you deny Allah's verses although you see and know the truth, He says. Despite knowing and seeing the truth. Yes.

What did we say? Allah Almighty has given every person of reason a reason that will make His Essence known. If Allah Almighty had given a reason that could not make His Essence known, Allah would be given attributes. Ah, in that Elest-i Rabbiküm address. What does it say? They said yes, it says. Yes. You know, when He said, I am your Lord, they said yes, it says. Well, Hodja, you said just now that they denied there. Yes, he denied there. Well, these two words are opposite to each other. (?) Allah Almighty gave a reason to the spirits He created in that world of Lahut. This reason is his knowing that he was created by a Lord.

What is it? That he was created by a Lord; I say Lord because Lord means Creator. The Creator is only Allah. One of Allah's names is Rab, Creator. That is why I use the word Rab. A Lord created me. I was created. He knows this. But not as making the one before him known, that is, not making the Creator known as the Creator. A Lord by which he knows that he was created by a Lord. That is why the partial will, knowing or not knowing, is in his own hands. Recognizing or not recognizing is in man's own hands. Otherwise Allah Almighty would have made His Essence known to man as He made it known to the others.

So this is the difference between man and the other created beings. His knowing his Lord by his own will. In this case, his denying Allah Almighty despite knowing that he was created: your denying Me, He says, or the word you say, has no validity over Me, He says. Why does it have no validity? You too know that a Lord created me. Then I too say to you, let him not stand against you, I created you. To so many people, so many created people, if I had not created you, and if another Lord had been the Creator, would that creator have let so many people before Me, I your Lord, be introduced to (Me)?

Is this possible, I mean? What would he do? He would destroy him and come out as creator saying, no, not him, it is me. Since no such claim has come out, you too know that I was created. So this is the meaning of the 'yes' here. But because the partial will is in you, because the decision to judge by yourself is in you, and because Allah Almighty will in no way interfere with the judgment you give, despite your knowing there that I was created, your saying 'You did not create me' has no ruling over Him. For example, let us say our Süleyman Efendi made a robot. And a robot that would give itself will, that is, make judgments by itself, it is impossible for him to make it like that, this belongs to Allah alone.

And if that robot said to Süleyman, you are not my Lord, that is, you are not my creator, would its judgment be valid over Süleyman? So this is the meaning of the 'yes'. They too know that a Lord created me. I think this has been understood clearly. So in this case, in this case what do we say: Allah has given every person of reason a reason that will make His Essence known. Here, when I say make His Essence known: a reason that makes known the words 'a Lord created me' He gave; everyone knows this, yes. In this respect, every person who has reason, reason, has the capacity to perceive Allah's existence.

If there were a reason with a capacity unable to perceive Allah Almighty's existence, which excludes the insane. Yes. Because reason (?) rational and transmitted reason (?). Sir, if Allah Almighty had not been able to give a reason that would make His Essence known, that is, a Lord created me, if He had given a reason in such a way that it could not perceive this, Allah Almighty, Allah would be given attributes by man. And people would not want anything. Yes. This is from Allah's art of speaking to people and from Allah's infinite knowledge, we said. What did we say? It has the capacity to perceive Allah's existence.

That is, His giving reason. This too is from Allah's art of speaking to people and from Allah's infinite knowledge. In this respect, every person knows Allah's existence and understands the verses that come from Allah. He understands this. But, as we mentioned in the verse above, once man lets the love of kufr settle in his heart. Once he gives his Lord a bad covenant at the beginning, (?). After that those people can never come to the right again. Why can they not come? Because towards Allah Almighty these people rebelled against Him there, said, You are not my Lord, they said. Well, you too know that a Lord created me.

Yes, I know, he says. I know. Well, where is that Lord? The Lord in his imagination. He is waiting for him anyway. He is waiting for him. So in the verse Allah Almighty says: they will not see their Lord. Where? In the world of the hereafter. They will not see their Lord. Why? There is no Lord they imagined who could appear. And this symbolizes La ilahe illallah anyway. It symbolizes Tawhid. Yes.

The words will always confirm one another in correspondence with the verses. Here: but, as we mentioned in the verse above, once man lets the love of kufr settle in his heart. Once he gives his Lord a bad covenant at the beginning, (?). After that those people can never come to the right again. They cannot dry up the veins of stubbornness and envy in themselves and find the truth. Why? As we said earlier, a little earlier, he had the will of his own desire and wish written for himself as destiny. And since Allah Almighty does not change these destinies, according to the verse 'If We do not will, you cannot will', so once man has settled the love of kufr in his heart and given his covenant that way, it is impossible that he (?).

Well, Hodja, there are so many people in the land of unbelief; are there none there who become Muslim? Of them. So they do turn. They turn, but Allah Almighty is free from deficient attributes. Why is He free of them? That one is in the midst of kufr. He will place there an Islamic spirit coming from that kufr. An Islamic spirit. Although that person lives in the midst of that kufr, after reaching a certain level he will see that this is kufr. He will perceive Allah's existence and oneness and return to the covenant he gave. He will accept Islam. Allah Almighty will show this to other people as an example. Look, He will say, this one too came in the midst of that kufr like you. But this one found the truth and turned back. You, earlier, with the state of kufr, you from that kufr (?) could not turn back like him. This one was Islam earlier too. And I, as his brother, as a sibling, had you brought from the same mother and father, from those who are people of kufr, but according to the covenant he gave there, he turned back and you could not.

This is your own state, and He makes him prove it to himself. He makes him a witness against himself. So what does the verse say? Did you think you would die without proving what kind of person you are? How beautifully Allah Almighty has written and packed everything openly in the verses. That is why these do not turn back either, but those who are of that character. It is for this reason that, although they know Allah and the truth, that is, reality, they cannot keep themselves from denying Allah's verses. Because that is their character.
