Translation

A group from the people of the Book said to the believers; “In the morning, believe in what has been sent down and in the evening, deny it. Perhaps they will turn away (from their religion).”

Tafsir

According to the narration, a group of twelve rabbis from the Jews of Khaybar would supposedly convert to Islam in the early hours of the day, but in the evening they would say that they had apostatized from Islam, claiming that they had not found any sign of the Prophet Muhammad's prophethood when they checked their own book. Thus they would lead Muslims to apostatize from their religion. That is why this verse was revealed.

The people of the Ahl al-Bayt have been trying to abolish Islam ever since it came. Forgetting the glory of Allah and that Allah's will will prevail, they deliberately persisted in their selfish enmity to see if they could eliminate this religion, and they still persist in their persistence. Here too they have failed to realize this point. If Allah is Allah, if His Verses are true and if these Verses will continue to prevail until the Day of Judgment, they should know this verse well! Allah's religion will remain until the Day of Judgment and no human power will be able to abolish this religion until the Day of Judgment. The more people want to abolish this religion, the more they will increase their disbelief and the more they will be wronging their own souls by preparing their own torment in the Hereafter. The verse says: "If you extinguish the light of Allah in one place, We are able to create another people in another place" (did they think that they could extinguish the light of Allah with the blowing of their mouths). Therefore, wherever in the world the light of Islam is extinguished and wherever a people compromises Islam and chooses disbelief, Allah is able to spread Islam in its place in another part of the world. This religion will continue to rule until the Day of Judgment. In this case, the endeavors of the enemies of Islam are futile, and it is to turn away from Allah and prefer the light to the light.

Such an ignorant group of rabbis will pretend to be Muslims in the morning in order to turn people away from Islam, and in the evening they will leave Islam because they have not come across such a treatise in their book, and they will cause people to turn away from Islam. Look at the ignorance of these rabbis, they have not even read the book in their hands, they have not realized how the book addresses them, they are far away from the book, they appear as rabbis as a nickname. After they became Muslims, they started to read their Books, saying, "Let's see what is written in this book. Then they will say, with an attitude that even a child would not believe, that the prophethood of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is not written here, we have renounced Islam. You have done no good to yourself, so how can you do good to others by following them? These are people who are accustomed to lying and changing the verses in the Book of Allah without fearing Allah. Can you believe their words and follow them?

What is said in the video

We come to verse 72 of Surah Al-i Imran. Verse 72: a group from the People of the Book said thus, it says, said thus: Believe in the morning in what was sent down to the believers and deny it in the evenings. Perhaps they will thus turn back from their religion. Doubt; they want to stir up mischief. These really act very consciously. Now we are living this, these conversations, the conversations within the verses, we are living them. Here we reveal some secrets within the verses. And through those secrets coming out of our mouth, Allah Almighty puts at ease the hearts of the people here. And they understand that it is true.

After leaving here, they fall into doubt. I wonder, they say. And when the words here are forgotten, (?) (?) gets lost, this time they get completely into a dead end and they move away and leave. We live this. In the verse too (?). These are clever people too. Believe in the morning, it says, believe. Turn back in the evening, it says. Believe in the morning, turn back in the evening. Among them, say yes, and then in the evening say 'I wonder', it says. I wonder. Is it really true? That is, to confuse people. We watch those states of theirs here in our conversations.

(?), a group of rabbis, twelve people from the Jews of Khaybar, in the first (?) of the day would ostensibly enter Islam, but towards evening, when they looked at their own books, claiming that they had found no sign of Muhammad's messengership, they would say they had turned back from Islam. In this way they would lead the way for Muslims to turn back from their own religion. They say this verse was revealed for this.

Yes.

Ali Şahin says, Hodja, the board has opened too. Yes, Ali Şahin, the board has opened. If you have a question, ask, my child.

Those from the People of the Book, ever since the religion of Islam came, have worked to eliminate this religion. The reason for their efforts, as we said just now, is their seeing themselves as created above humans, seeing themselves as the close ones of Allah, and not recognizing the prophet because he did not come from among them. In fact, in fact, their failing to perceive that they are in heedlessness, in ignorance. What ignorance and heedlessness could they not perceive, Hodja? Before Allah Almighty created the worlds, first, so that He would see His Essence in His Essence as a mirror, when Habib-i Kibriya, (?) Nebi, Muhammad (peace be upon him) He willed to create, the Prophet's light, then His giving him of His spirit, from his spirit the spirits of the peoples He created, and that of all spirits, of all who will come until the Day of Judgment, he is the eldest and they were created from his spirit: their failing to perceive this. If they had perceived it, they would have stood by him.

No one, that is, the people living on earth, was created as American, French, Turkish, Jewish, English, German. All were created as human beings in the world of spirits. As human beings. And in the verse they were divided into three groups. Those of the right, those of the left. You know, if we made them rightists and leftists. Is this in the Quran? How could it not be? Rightist, leftist. These are conscious, conscious. His saying 'I am a leftist' is conscious. That is, friend, he says, I do not believe in the religion of Islam. Except the pawns, look. Except the pawns. Except those who follow them unknowingly, in ignorance.

The others, consciously and as deniers. Those who, as deniers of the religion of Islam, say I am a leftist. Consciously.

Those who say I am a leftist. Well, pay attention. These have nothing at all to do with the religion of Islam. Nothing at all. But among them we have people who were deceived and, although Muslim, followed them, people in ignorance. Look what Yunus Emre says about them too. If you put a black stone in water and boil it for forty years, the stone is still a stone. The ignorant one is like this too, he says. The ignorant one is like this too, he says. He will not soften. His stone will not soften. The ignorant one is like this too, he says. Yes. So if Allah Almighty says 'of the left' and says what a pity for these of the left, these are people who have nothing to do with the religion of Islam.

You need to know them this way. You need to know them this way. But here we do not discriminate between people. Nor do we engage in divisiveness here. What is divisiveness? If you, on a person's culture, belief, way of life, sir, with separate rulings, apply pressure, and put them under oppression, or drive them to divisiveness. This is separatism over a state, over people.

In this homeland everyone, whether leftist or rightist, as long as he stands by his homeland, lives in unity and togetherness. Within the religion of Islam we state people's conditions in correspondence with the verses. If he says I am a leftist, this man has nothing to do with (?). Even if he does, this man has been deceived. Because Allah Almighty says of the leftist, what a pity for them, about those of the left. In this case, will these leftists come close to the religion of Islam?

These only, for exploiting conscience, for politics and political reasons, appear to approach religion. They liken Islam's headscarf to that of nuns. And these oppose the headscarf. Whoever opposes the headscarf opposes verse 31 of Surah An-Nur. In this case, in this case our people, when they take a step, are obliged to check whether their step is firm or not. Whether the place he steps on is firm or not. If he steps on a rotten plank, there is a trap below it. He falls into that trap. Yes.

These people too, in this way, to make people fall into a trap, will first become Muslim, and then, because they cannot see the prophet's messengership in their own books, they will turn back from their religion. In this way they will lead Muslims to turn back. Is this situation not present today? It is. Is it not being lived? By Allah, it is being lived indirectly, (?).

Who are these? Those who deceive Islam and make concessions, and who, after reaching a certain position, never come close to Islam.

Now, gentlemen, our lesson is not politics, but I am saying what is in the verses. We are saying how we live. Those who shout at the top of their voices that the Republic is being lost. The Republic is being lost. Because, (?) the Republic, they cannot stand by their own ideologies, for that reason they shout. Is anyone pressuring you because you could not stand by your own ideology? Is anyone oppressing you? But why do you put pressure and oppression on other people for living their culture?

Until now the Republic has not been lost. And even more freedom has come about. The religion of Islam gives freedom to everyone. What does it say? To you your religion, to me my religion. There is no making a preference for anyone. Why? We said it in the lessons at (?). The covenant everyone gave to Allah Almighty became his destiny. No one is capable of changing anyone's destiny either. In this case, what are you striving for? What are you chasing after?

Yes.

Those from the People of the Book, ever since the religion of Islam came, to eliminate this religion have worked. Allah's greatness and that Allah's will will prevail they forgot. Knowingly, with their own egoistic hostility, wondering whether this religion they could eliminate, they resisted, and they still continue their resistance. They still continue their resistance. Whether from among us, or from outside, or from missionaries, or from the holders of ideologies within ourselves. Yes.

Here this point, this point they could not grasp: if Allah is that Allah, His verses are true, and if these verses will keep their rule until the Day of Judgment, this verse they should know well: that Allah's religion will keep its rule until the Day of Judgment. Yes. Allah's religion will remain until the Day of Judgment, and no human power will be able to eliminate this religion until the Day of Judgment. The more people want to eliminate this religion, the more they will increase their own kufr, and preparing their own punishment in the world of the hereafter, they will have wronged their own selves.

As for those verses: If you extinguish Allah's light in one place, We are able to create another people in another place. Did they think that by blowing with their mouths they would extinguish Allah's light? So wherever in the world a light of Islam goes out, if that people, making concessions from Islam, chooses kufr, Allah is able to spread Islam in another land of the world in its place and keep it alive. This religion will keep its rule until the Judgment, until the Day of Judgment. In this case the efforts of hostility to Islam are in vain, and by distancing from Allah it prefers fire instead of His light.

It prefers Allah's wrath. So such an ignorant group of rabbis, to distance people from Islam, ostensibly appearing Muslim in the morning, and towards evening, because they found no such messengership in their books, leaving Islam, they would become the cause of people distancing themselves from Islam. Look at the ignorance of these rabbis: they had not even read the book in their hands. They could not grasp how the book addressed them. Far from the book, they were seen as rabbis by title. By title. And after becoming Muslim, saying, wait a moment, let's see what is written in this book, they began to read their books.

Then, in a manner not even a child would believe, they would say: here the messengership of Muhammad (peace be upon him) is not written; we have given up Islam. You have done no good to yourself, so how could you do good to others by dragging them after you? These are people who have long been used to lying and to changing the verses in Allah's books without fearing Allah. Can one believe their words and follow after them?
