Ali 'Imran 126: Allah only did this for you as glad tidings and to calm your hearts. Victory is only with Allah who is Azeez (Exalted) and Hakeem (All-Wise).

Surah Al Imran, verse 126, the noble verse: Allah made this only as glad tidings for you and so that your hearts might be at ease by it. Victory comes only from Allah, the Possessor of absolute power and wisdom, it says. Victory. Yes.

As glad tidings for the Islamic forces, and so that they would know that He is with those who say Allah, Allah Almighty helped the Islamic forces.

In all the wars, in the battles the Muslims fought relying on Allah Himself, Allah Almighty helped them with martyrs and with unknown forces.

Most recently, in the Cyprus operation too, certain events occurred. I am a witness to some of these events. Because I was in it too. I am a witness to some events. Yes. What was it? As glad tidings for the Islamic forces, and so that they would know that He is with those who say Allah, Allah Almighty helped the Islamic forces. To spread the religion of Islam on earth, to strengthen the hearts of the people who would be the means of this, to raise their ranks, to make Islam beloved to people, and to ensure that this universe, which He has programmed until the Day of Judgment, runs its course within a program — for this Allah Almighty helped the Muslims in the Battle of Badr.

Because Allah Almighty has programmed these worlds. There is not a single atom that will come to be until the Day of Judgment, He says, of which We (?). In that case, if He is going to spread the religion of Islam too — and since to the whole world, to all people, according to the verse Inne'd-dîne inda'llâhi'l-İslâm, He has said there is no religion other than Islam, and since He has said that whoever seeks a religion other than Islam, that religion will never benefit him — then of course, for the continuation of His program, to make His religion take root, He will help a handful of Muslims, Allah Almighty will.

The reason for this is that Allah Almighty does not hold anyone accountable for a thing He has not made known. I do not hold anyone accountable, He says, for a thing I have not made known. Well, if Islam had not been established, if Islam had been choked there and disappeared, who would know of Islam today? This is how Allah proves His will, His (?), fulfils it, and completes His promise. What does He say? Allah will complete His light until the Day of Judgment, He says. Yes.

And victory is from Allah, the Possessor of absolute power and wisdom. Here, what is meant by absolute power: proving that there is no god but Allah, and that no being can go outside His will, that no power can change the program of the universe — with this proof He has used the expression absolute power. In that case, not with the order people plan, but with the order Allah Almighty has programmed, the universe will keep its unity and togetherness until the Day of Judgment.

What does Allah Almighty say in a verse? If people had had the wishes they themselves arranged or their desires and wants — every desire and want of theirs — fulfilled, the world would have drowned in corruption, He says.

An opposite of this in a verse — that is, a confirming one, not an opposite but a confirming one — in the verse, well, everything they want, He says, will it come about? Everything they want. Did they think it would happen? He says — did they think everything they want would happen? He says. So He has programmed this world; Allah Almighty, in another verse too, says: They lay a trap, and We are the best of those who lay traps, He says. Of course, all the verses confirm one another: the traps people have prepared outside their destinies, or so as to spoil the program of Allah Almighty — Allah Almighty never allows them.

In this way He prevents them.

Here it is from Allah, He says. — let it be; and so that your hearts might be at ease by it, He did it, He says. We have spoken of wisdom. Of the Possessor of wisdom. The will — how each thing will be; the people who will come until the Day of Judgment, Allah Almighty's arranged program, finding life within it, proving His existence to all people, — whether what looks like misfortune is good, and whether what looks like good is misfortune, is known by Allah Almighty, that absolute power — the basic programs of why He does what He does are hidden in His being; Allah is the Possessor of wisdom. Yes.

Victory's being from Allah: according to the verse in which He says Inne'd-dîne inda'llâhi'l-İslâm, Allah, by whom the religion of Islam on earth will remain until the Day of Judgment, as a result of this program, at Islam's first campaign, so that hearts grow firm, so that Islam's morale is restored and it gains strength, so that it be glad tidings to Islam and they know that absolute victory too is from Allah — explains His verses to people in this way.

In one sense, here, when He says absolute victory is from Allah — if the Muslims plant their feet firmly on the ground in battle, that is, if they do not turn their backs and flee but stand firm, absolute victory belongs to Allah — according to the verse in which He says this, it symbolizes this verse: Allah will complete His light until the Day of Judgment. Now, with whom will He complete it? He makes known that He is with the Muslims who plant their feet firmly on the ground and make their chests a shield against the unbelievers. When He says absolute victory is from Allah, He makes known to us that He stands behind that Muslim, and that His religion, whose light He will complete until the Day of Judgment, He will complete with these people, and that He stands behind these people.

Absolute victory is from Allah. And if Allah will surely keep His religion alive until the Day of Judgment, well, if He will complete His light until the Day of Judgment, with whom will He complete it? He will complete it with the Muslims. He will complete it with the religion of Islam. In that case, the Islamic forces — if by the enemy forces — and in the world there are more polytheists than Muslims, there are non-Muslims — well, if He were on their side, Allah's light would not be completed until the Day of Judgment; it would be choked there and pass away. So see how beautifully Allah Almighty confirms His verses with one another.

We cannot find any deficiency in Allah's verses. They open up meaning by meaning.
