In this matter, there is nothing onto you; either (they become Muslims and) Allah accepts their repentance or (if they persist in denial, Allah) punishes them (as Allah helped you in Badr) since they were oppressors.
Tafsir
Allah (swt) addressed the Prophet (saw) saying, 'O Messenger, there is nothing you can do in this matter. Because destinies are like this. These destinies have been written and the program has been completed. In this respect, you have nothing left to do in the occurrence of these events. There are also those among them who will become Muslims with these events. These events will be a lesson for them and those who will become Muslims will take lessons from these events, repent and find the truth. Allah (swt) will accept the repentance of those who turn to Him and forgive them their sins. Thus, in proportion to the covenant that people have made with Allah (swt), everyone will live his or her own will and no creature will be able to go beyond this program that Allah (swt) has programmed.
Through these events, people will increase their disbelief and insist on rebellion against Allah. In this case, Allah (swt) helped the Muslims at Badr as a punishment for them. People who are in the darkness of shirk, by living their destiny and proving what kind of a person they are, will not be able to question Allah (swt) on the Day of Reckoning in the Hereafter.
Allah (swt) has removed the obstacles in the way of the religion of Islam and has brought people to salvation from the evil and oppression of the community of wrongdoers in accordance with His program.
What is said in the video
Surah Al Imran, we have come to verse 128.
There is nothing for you to do in this matter, says Allah Almighty. Either that they become Muslim and He accepts their repentance, or, if they rebel in unbelief, that He punishes them — for this Allah helped you at Badr. Because they are wrongdoers, He says. They are wrongdoers. Because Allah Almighty knows what they will do. In fact, while Abu Jahl lay wounded at Badr, one of the companions says: O Messenger of Allah, I wounded him, he is dying, he says. Dying. The Prophet (peace be upon him) sends Abu Salama. He was short, Abu Salama. Go and see, he says. Is he alive? Or is he dead?
When Abu Salama arrives he sees that he is still in his death throes. I have come to strike your neck, he says. Of all people, did the Prophet send someone like you? he says. My neck, he says — strike lower down, he says, (?) he says, so that it looks big. Just look at you — at the father of the ignorant; Abu Jahl means that, the father of the ignorant. Yes.
There is nothing for you to do in this, He says; there is nothing for you to do in this matter. Because this is a written destiny, says Allah Almighty about the Messenger of Allah. There is nothing for you to do, He says. Either that they become Muslim and He accepts their repentance, or that they persist in unbelief — that He punishes them: for this Allah helped you at Badr. Because they are wrongdoers, He says.
Allah Almighty, addressing the Prophet: O My Messenger, (?) there is nothing at all for you to do. Because it is a written destiny. The worlds are programmed. Because destinies are like this. In (?) these destinies were written, and this program will be completed.
For this reason, in the occurrence of these events there is nothing left for you to do either. Among them, with these events, there are also those who will become Muslim. These events will be a lesson to them and they will become Muslim; taking a lesson from these events, these events, by repenting they will find the truth. As we said a moment ago: could He not have cut off their root too? See, the verses all confirm one another anyway. That is, they support each other. But to those among them who will become Muslim, Allah Almighty gives them a chance. And Allah Almighty, accepting the repentance of those who turn to Him, will forgive them their sins. Thus, in proportion to the covenants people gave Allah Almighty, everyone will live his own wish, and no one will be able to go outside this program that Allah Almighty has programmed.
Again, with these events people, increasing their unbelief, will dig in their heels against Allah in rebellion. In their rebellions. Everyone will live the destiny of the covenant he himself gave. That destiny, in time, by the person's wishes and wants, within his own character — well, our Lord will create causes for them, and these persons, by putting their own wishes and wants into actual deeds and living them, will earn reward and sin.
Again, with these events people, increasing their unbelief, will dig in their heels against Allah in rebellion. In that case, so that this be a punishment for them, Allah Almighty helped the Muslims at Badr. The people in the darkness of shirk — they too, living their own destinies, proving what kind of people they are, will not be able, in the hereafter, on that Day of Reckoning, to put questions and queries to Allah Almighty. Why? The events have occurred. The religion of Islam has been made known. The Prophet has appeared. Well, let's say scholars have appeared. Allah's path — well, in the most beautiful way, in a way that is mutually confirming, not contrary to the heart, not contrary to the mind — with the proof that it is not a human's word, Allah Almighty has held a light before people.
In that case, if you live your own wishes and wants, your own will, well, rebelling against Allah and digging in your heels, then of course you will not have a single word to say to Allah Almighty left.
Had you believed, you would have become Muslim anyway. Had you believed. When will you believe? When the soul reaches the throat and the door of repentance is closed — then you will believe. That there is a hereafter. How will he believe? The angels take their souls, striking their faces and their backs, He says. Or when they are shown the place they will go to, they, with those (?), will croak in rebellion and be gone.
Again, with these events people, increasing their unbelief, in rebellion against Allah will (?). In that case, so that this be a punishment for them, Allah Almighty at Badr helped the Muslims. The people in the darkness of shirk — they too, living their own destinies, proving to themselves what kind of people they are, in the hereafter, on that Day of Reckoning — will not be able to put questions and queries to Allah Almighty. So Allah Almighty, by removing those who stand as obstacles before the religion of Islam, within His program, has led people from the evil and oppression of the community of wrongdoers to salvation. Yes.
