Translation

Whatever there is in the heavens and the earth, it belongs to Allah. Allah forgives those who wish to be forgiven and punishes those who desire to be punished. Allah is Ghafoor (Forgiving) and Raheem (the One who very generously accepts repentance).

Tafsir

Allah (swt) declares that there is no other deity besides Himself, who subsists by His Essence, that there is no other deity besides Him, who created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them in accordance with a wisdom, who made all beings remember His Essence, who has no other creator besides Him, who proves that all that is created belongs to His Essence, according to His verse in which He says: "The inheritance of the heavens and the earth belongs to Allah".

If there had been another creator and another Deity other than Allah, the other creator or Deity would have said, "No, they are not all yours, there are some of my creations among them," and a second creator would have emerged. Since there has not been such a second God since the creation of the universe and the beginning of the human world, Allah (swt) has proved to us with many verses that there is no other God other than Allah (swt) with His verse (whatever is in the heavens and the earth belongs to Allah). Allah is very compassionate and merciful to His creatures. Whoever asks Allah (swt) for something, Allah (swt) will surely accept the wish of the supplicant and forgive his sins. And whoever turns away from Allah (swt) and persists in not recognizing his Lord, Allah (swt) will reward them for what they have earned and every soul will be tormented. It is not the punishment of Allah (swt), as the Judge of Judges, that Allah (swt) punishes them in return for what each soul earns, it is not the torment of Allah (swt) against them, it is the oppression and torment of such people against their own souls.

Allah (swt), who proves that there is no other God but Allah (swt), is not cruel to His creatures and has sent books, prophets and scholars to introduce Himself to the creatures in the realm of the unseen. Allah (swt) did not create human beings free from error, that is, He created them mentally incomplete and faulty, but He created them to ask forgiveness from Him and to make them aware of their own helplessness.

If Allah did not forgive people for their mistakes and did not forgive their sins, Allah (swt), who has proved that there is no other God but Himself, would have been very unjust to His creatures. He informs us in one of His Verses that this is not the case. (If you had been caught immediately for the mistakes you had made, you would not have found a single living creature roaming the earth). This verse shows us that Allah (swt) is a sultan who is very compassionate and merciful to people. May Allah grant us to be among those who are included in His mercy, with a realization that can serve Allah and be worthy of Allah.

What is said in the video

Surah Al-Imran, in verse 129, we said that this part was explained wrongly. There's a correction there. Let's see how it was explained wrongly. The hundred and twenty-ninth verse. What does it say? Whatever is in the heavens and the earth belongs to Allah. Correct. He forgives whom He wills, He punishes whom He wills. Allah is most forgiving and most merciful. Now, gentlemen,

in this verse, in this verse, Allah Almighty, God forbid, is far above that deficient attribute. I mean the one who interpreted it. Look how he attributes it to Him. Yes. If we use our reason. What does it say? He forgives whom He wills, He punishes whom He wills. Suppose Allah Almighty forgave whom He willed, punished whom He willed. Let's say this is Allah's will. He did so. He wouldn't, God forbid. He did. What does it say next? Allah is most forgiving and most merciful. Well then? You say He punishes, you say He punishes whom He wills, and then you say here Allah is most merciful, most forgiving.

So how should this verse be? He punishes the one who wills it. And He forgives the one who wills it. Whoever repents, He forgives; and whoever persists in his kufr, turns his back on Allah, He will punish him. Because: Eleysallahu bi-ahkemi'l-hâkimîn. He is the judge of judges. Are those who know and those who don't know equal, it says. Now, they have interpreted the verses wrongly like this anyway. Many verses are wrong. 389 verses are wrong. This is just one of the wrong ones.

Explaining it wrongly like this, they've attributed that to Allah. On one hand it says Allah is most merciful, forgiving. On the other it says Allah will punish whom He wills. If He will punish whom He wills, then Allah is unjust. He'd have created a being for punishment. Like in Surah Al-A'raf, verse 179, what does it say in that verse? Bismillahirrahmanirrahim.

"Truly, We created many of mankind and jinn for Hell," it says. God forbid. Whereas: truly, Hell, for many of mankind and jinn, was created. Hell. Mankind and jinn were not created for Hell. So it goes on like this, mistakes and mistakes, mistakes. Yes. God willing,

all the readings are finished.

We had bought it, Hafiz Osman's Quran. In that Quran there were errors in the kasra, in the kasras. They were corrected for this. They were corrected. That's why it was a bit delayed. In the kasras, in the kasras, sir, on Monday, this Monday it goes to the printer. At the printer it will be read once more after being corrected separately. Today is Thursday, it probably went to the printer today. It went, it went today. As scheduled, it will be read Friday, Saturday, Sunday. On Monday, God willing, not in what we wrote, but on the verses, that Quran written by Hafiz Osman, the marks on its verses, there were omissions in the marks.

Those were completed. And since in our computer too some of these, in verses, in omissions and in suras, the omissions are as in the old one, these too will be corrected again on our computers, and with the genuine ones (?) will be set in place, God willing. It will probably come out within 10-15 days. Our translations will come out within 10-15 days. God willing.

Be sure to get it. Every home has a Quran translation. Even if not, let them get one from a spouse, a friend. The correct parts are marked in red. For example, look: whatever is in the heavens and the earth belongs to Allah. This is written in black. He forgives the one who wills, He punishes the one who wills. It's written with a red mark. In the verses, the red parts are the correct ones that replace the wrong ones. The correct ones that replace the wrong ones. Allah is most forgiving and most merciful. (?) He forgives the one who wills, He punishes the one who wills. Allah is most forgiving, most merciful.

You too ask Allah for your forgiveness, (?). Allah is forgiving. But if on the other hand you say He punishes the one who wills, forgives the one who wills, and here also you say Allah is most forgiving, then since He punishes the one who wills, how does "most forgiving" here come about, how does it come about? That's why the verses were explained wrongly.

What those who explain the verses wrongly hold on to: the grammar is like this, Arabic grammar explains it this way. Arabic grammar explains it this way, but can you attribute that to Allah? Where did you put Allah's attributes of mercy and forgiveness? Sir, you accuse Allah Almighty of being unjust, you accuse Him of injustice. And one of them says: yes, he says, the Quran's essence is this. But the Arabic (?) comes out like this. That's why it was explained like this, he says. But the Quran's essence is this, he says. Yes, the Quran's essence, though, is clearly like that. But there's no knowledge to explain it.

God willing, they'll learn.

What does it say? Whatever is in the heavens and the earth belongs to Allah. He forgives the one who wills, He punishes the one who wills. Allah is most forgiving and most merciful. He who subsists by Himself, besides whom there is no god, the heavens and the earth and what is between them He created with wisdom, making all beings remember Him, besides whom there is no other creator; the inheritance of the heavens and the earth belongs to Allah, by that verse; proving that all creation is His, He declares: whatever is in the heavens and the earth belongs to Allah.

The heavens and the earth and what is between them know the remembrance of their Lord, according to that verse. The atoms and nuclei of all matter, the plus and minus nuclei, remember Allah as they spin around their axes, and this proves that there is no god but Allah, that all creation was created by Allah; it proves this. Therefore the heavens and the earth, whatever is on earth, belongs to Allah. When this verse was revealed, Hamza used to go alone hunting lions, all alone. When I was alone, I thought, he says, I thought. The Allah we worship, he says, has not a span of ground. When they worshipped those idols, he says: Allah must be like this, he says.

When it says the heavens and the earth and what is between them belong to Allah, all that exists belongs to Allah, then: this is how it must be, this is Allah, I said, he says, and he comes and accepts Islam.

Yes.

Had there been another creator and another god besides Him, then against Allah, who calls out to and addresses the universe with this verse, the other creator or god would say: no, not all of them are yours, (?) I too have creations; and a second creator would have appeared. Has anyone like that appeared? Ever since the world was founded, Allah Almighty says: I created this universe. Though impostors appeared, like the Pharaohs, like the Nimrods, saying I too am Lord, they all croaked and were gone. But Allah, the ever-lasting and self-subsisting, calls out. To the universe, until Judgment Day: the heavens and the earth and what is between them know the remembrance of their Lord, with this verse.

The heavens and the earth and what is between them belong to their Lord. Yes. No second one has come forward saying: I too have a right here.

Since no such second Allah has appeared since the universe was founded and since the beginning of humankind, with the verse "whatever is in the heavens and the earth belongs to Allah" He has shown us there is no other god but Allah, through many of His verses, scientifically proving it. Through many verses. Yes. Allah Almighty is very compassionate and merciful toward His creation. Whoever asks something of Allah Almighty, Allah Almighty surely accepts the wish of the one who asks and forgives his sins. Just turn back to Allah. How do I turn back to Allah? Ah, look, it's very simple. O my Lord! My Allah, besides whom there is no other god.

You created me deficient in reason. I was helpless. I didn't know. I sinned. But now, before Your existence, I am seized by fear. You are my Master who forgives. Just as an elder, his child's misdeed, when that child understands the misdeed, forgives as a father, You are the most merciful of the merciful. Forgive me too. When you say this, it's impossible that your sin is not forgiven. Here's a hadith for you. Even if your sins reached the clouds in the sky, when you sincerely repent, Allah Almighty, it says, turns even that into good deeds. Yes.

What will you do? What will you do? Repent, repent. You will repent. You tell us, but do you repent yourself? I am always in repentance. Always. Because knowing my helplessness is enough for me. That is a repentance. If you too know your helplessness, know Allah as Creator, and know yourself as helpless, that too is a repentance. Yes.

And whoever distances himself from Allah Almighty and persists in not recognizing his Lord, Allah Almighty punishes them, giving them the recompense of what they earned. What does it say? Today, without anyone being wronged, what you have earned, in full, as the recompense of your two hands, will be given to you, it says. Yes.

Allah Almighty, in punishing people, has not punished them.

Let's say in the most terrible place of Hell He punishes him. He's been thrown there, burning. Allah has not punished. This world is a likeness and shadow of the hereafter. We always say this, give the example: a person kills a man, steals, commits fraud. They put him in prison. The judge rules on him, and he goes to prison. Did the judge punish this man? Did the judge put this man in prison? That person had himself put there. So Allah Almighty has not punished them either. They punished themselves. Ah, here's a verse for you, how beautifully it says it. We do not wrong the souls. Every soul wrongs itself, it says.

Yes, itself.

As the recompense of what each soul has earned, through Allah Almighty's attribute of judge of judges, these are such people's injustice and punishments against their own selves, it says. Allah, who proves there is no other god besides Allah, Almighty, is not unjust to His creation; to make Himself known to creatures in the unseen world He has sent books, prophets and scholars. He has sent them. Not creating people free of error, that is, creating them deficient in reason and fallible, Allah Almighty created people to ask Him for forgiveness and to know their own helplessness. To know their own helplessness.

That is, because of this helplessness: yes, I'm helpless, but not in the sense of "I don't recognize You" — not that. The helplessness here: I have a Lord. That is, there is One who created me. I am helpless before Him, he'll say. And he'll know Allah as Allah. Knowing Allah as Allah is according to Ikhlas, Surah Al-Ikhlas. Non-Muslims too, besides knowing Allah as Allah, because they associate partners with Allah, it doesn't mean they know Allah. Had they known Allah, they wouldn't associate partners with Allah.

If, because of the mistakes people make, Allah had not pardoned people and not forgiven their sins, Allah Almighty, who proves there is no god but Him, would have been very unjust to His creation, very. Why very unjust? First of all: ah, I was created deficient, and I don't know what to do. He sends me prophets, sends scholars, sends books, saying do it like this; that's why. Look at the mercy, look. Well, had He not sent these, with my reason lacking, unjust would Allah Almighty have been, had He done that. Look what He says anyway. With the reason I gave you, you should have known Me, He says. With the reason I gave.

Where? As in "Elestü bi-rabbiküm".

With the reason I gave you, you should have known Me. But in a lost (?) world, He says, so as not to leave you alone, you, I sent you prophets and books so that you would know Me. In that case, in that case, since we were created deficient in reason, He sends us prophets, books and scholars in this world, so that we know our Lord. In that case, although every mind knows there is a Lord who created it, if one denies Allah who created him, he wrongs himself. And since Allah Almighty created man deficient in reason, had He not forgiven man's sin, then Allah too would have been unjust to people. That's why it says Allah is greatly Tawwab.

His saying He greatly accepts repentance: very compassionate and merciful toward people He is. It shows that Allah Almighty, not only toward people but toward His creation, is very compassionate, merciful and just. Yes.

If, because of the mistakes people make, Allah had not pardoned people and not forgiven their sins, Allah Almighty, who proves there is no other god besides Him, would have been very unjust to His creation. That it is not so, He tells us in a verse as follows. Had you been seized at once for the mistakes you made, you wouldn't find a single living being walking on earth, He declares. That is: I created you fallible and deficient, and you will surely make mistakes. When you see the right within this mistake, what will you say? O my great Lord! With my deficient reason I made a mistake. Or I committed a sin. I understood that according to the verse You sent, You — I am sinful, forgive me, my Allah, I've come to my senses, you'll say, and by not doing it again, Allah Almighty will forgive your sin.

And if you know your helplessness and know your Lord as Creator, He will additionally give you a reward. Yes.

So this verse shows us how compassionate and merciful Allah Almighty is toward people, that He is a bountiful sultan, it shows. With an understanding able to serve Allah Almighty and worthy of Allah, to be among those included in His mercy may He grant us too. Amen.
