Tafsir
Martyrs are those who are alive in the sight of Allah. The martyrs, who are aware of the truth, thank their Lord for the blessings and favors from Allah (swt) and the grace He has bestowed upon mankind, and these martyred believers have seen the truth that Allah (swt) will not waste the reward of the believers. These martyred believers are happy to give good news to their martyred brothers who will come after them that their good life and the promise of Allah (swt) is true.
The martyrs who have passed on to the Hereafter will testify to the truth of Allah's oneness, His existence, the truth of what He has revealed in His verses, the reality of His promise, the fact that they will be honored in the Hereafter with much more than they had hoped for, and that Allah is kind and merciful, and that Allah treats His servants with mercy, Realizing that Allah is their guardian and protector, these martyrs, ecstatic with their love for Allah and realizing that the world is a place of distress, wait for their brothers and sisters with the joy of giving them the good news of this beautiful world they will live in.
If a person knows that he has come to this world for a test and becomes a servant to Allah and an ummah to His Messenger, he will find salvation. May Allah (swt) bless the fate of all of us.
What is said in the video
In verse 171 too, they rejoice in the blessing and generosity from Allah, in the good news that Allah will not let the believers' reward go to waste.
The martyrs rejoice in the blessing and generosity from Allah, in the good news that Allah will not let the believers' reward go to waste.
Now, here a certain meaning might arise.
Does Allah Almighty let rewards go to waste? Here it singles out the believers.
They, it says, rejoice in the blessing and generosity from Allah, in the good news that Allah will not let the believers' reward go to waste. Yes. Now, Allah Almighty does not let any reward go to waste. He records an atom's weight of good and an atom's weight of evil. But who are those whose rewards are lost?
Those who depart as non-Muslims.
Their rewards — not this world — even if they were as much as this world, even if the weight of the reward were as heavy as this universe, because they deny Allah, these people who go against the purpose of creation, who associate partners with Allah, who in their own fantasies await (?), even if their reward weighed as much as this universe, their kufr, because it outweighs their good deeds, their rewards were of no use to them.
It went to waste. What does it say? If, with this knowledge, with this learning, they did not find Allah, all the fine deeds they did have gone to waste. Why did it go to waste? It did not disappear. It went to waste beside the kufr. The scale of kufr weighs heavier. Yes. Because he departed as a non-Muslim. In this respect the rewards were lost. But the Muslim's reward, even if his reward is lost, the light of faith in him, even in Hell, will find life, from the light of faith. And he will come out of there and go to Paradise after all. Because, that light of faith — in return for the punishment he suffers in Hell, his longing for Allah will grow. As that longing grows, the light of faith, that light of faith, his longing for Allah will increase.
Does longing grow in punishment? Yes. Knowing his Lord, he will say, this is even too little for me, this punishment is even too little, and his belief in Allah, his faith will increase further. And Allah Almighty will take him out of there. As for the unbeliever, since he is without faith, they — they are without faith. Non-Muslims: their resentment towards Allah will grow. And as their resentment grows, they stay there. The opposite.
The martyrs are those who are alive in the sight of Allah. The martyrs who have come to know the truths, by thanking their Lord. The martyrs who know the truths, by thanking Allah. What does 'those who know the truths' mean? It means they tasted death. They saw what Allah Almighty promised. They understood that what Allah promised is true. These are the ones who know the truths. The martyrs. By thanking their Lord, the grace that the blessing and generosity from Allah Almighty has bestowed on people — these believers who became martyrs have seen in reality that Allah Almighty will not let the believers' reward go to waste.
They have also seen the truth that He will not let their reward go to waste. These believers who became martyrs — that this beautiful life of theirs and Allah Almighty's promise are true — to their martyr brothers who will come after them, they are in the joy of announcing it.
As we said in the previous verse too, they call out to them. What are you waiting for? Look what our Lord has bestowed on us, what He has given from His own self, how He welcomed us out of His generosity and grace! What are you waiting for? Come. Yes, the martyrs who have passed into the hereafter — Allah's oneness, His existence, that what He made known about the hereafter is true, His promise being real, that in the hereafter they are shown generosity and honour far beyond what was hoped for, that Allah is compassionate and merciful, that Allah treats His servants with mercy, that He is their guardian and protector — realising this, beside themselves with love for Allah, these martyrs, having understood that the world is a place of hardship, in the joy of giving their believing brothers who come after them the good news of the beautiful realm they will live in, await these brothers.
What did we say just now — exactly, as if we had become martyrs and were there, we write with such feelings anyway; the same feelings. yes, otherwise these verses would not open up to you if my Lord does not let you experience them, they cannot be known; but (?) however much you write, (?); these were all written with feeling These are inner and Sufi; states actually lived put down in writing.
If a person knows he came to this world for a test, and becomes a servant to Allah and of the community of His Beloved, he attains salvation. May Allah Almighty make the end of us all good, he had said.
