Translation

(Idolaters) said; “Allah acquired children!” No, Allah is exalted above this! Allah is not in need (of children). All things in the heavens and the earth belong to Allah. There is no evidence on your side on this matter. Are you saying things about Allah that you don’t know about?

Tafsir

Allah is Hu. That is to say, Allah (swt) is self-existent. He does not need women and children. Because Allah is free from any imperfect attributes. The polytheists said that Allah has adopted children. Allah does not need such things. Those who do not know Allah, those who do not recognize Allah, those who disbelieve in Allah, invent a lie against Allah.

Hasha! Allah is the Creator of the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them, and the absolute owner of them. Again, according to the verse in which Allah says, "The inheritance of the heavens and the earth belongs to Allah", He has no equal, no likeness, and has no need for women and children.

Therefore, the disbelievers who say this have no proof with them that Allah (swt) has a woman or a child. (They are subject only to conjecture) as the previous verse says. They lie and slander Allah with their conjectures, while they have no knowledge about Allah. By saying that they do not know about Allah, they increase their injustice against their own souls.

What is said in the video

Verse 68 of Surah Yunus. These verses all — that Allah is one in His essence, that He subsists by His essence, that He needs nothing, that people slander Allah — Allah Almighty is trying to explain this to us. In verse 68 of Surah Yunus: the polytheists said Allah has taken a child. Far be it — He is free of that. He has no need of a child. Whatever is in the heavens and on the earth is His. You have no proof whatsoever about this. "Do you say about Allah what you do not know?" He says.

We said man was created very honorable. Allah Almighty gave him feelings. Feelings, and He gave man a fine reason. Now,

if there were a Creator Allah, a Creator, and if that Creator Allah had a child, a child — let's now compare this with the worldly realm. A sultan, the sultan of a state, a very good sultan, a just sultan. He has a son too. If he has a family and children, his son will also have a son. Among this son's son, along with his son's son, there will arise ones hostile to people. Will they arise? They will. And will they fall into (?) among themselves? Just as people fall into it, they will too. They will. In that case, will they fight one another? By their fighting one another, will they perhaps disrupt this order too?

And with this order disrupted, won't all these created people suffer oppression? And there is no death either.

In this case people live in constant suspicion.

Maybe this doesn't occur to you, but it occurs to me like this. What if they set out to oppress us? What if they turn against this good sultan, that sultan, and set out to oppress these people — what would become of us? Can it happen? It can. So, since Allah Almighty, every kind of event that might occur to the human mind, has cut off in His essence, since He is perfect and complete, Allah no one will be able to (?). The reason: (?). So since Allah has no family or children, to that sultan of abundant mercy we will be bound with passion, affection and love. We will be bound with passion, affection and love.

And He, compassionate and merciful toward His creatures, will embrace us like this. He will grant us life. What mind says that Creator has a child? Is Allah deficient in His essence? Allah forbid. Yes.

So the polytheists said Allah has taken a child. Far be it — He is free of that. He has no need of a child. Whatever is in the heavens and on the earth is His. You have no proof whatsoever about this. Is there? Aren't the verses deep for us? Now, we are speaking on the matter of verses. We open the verses to people with verses. A man comes up to us with superstitions, his reason mortgaged to the ideas of Ahmet and Mehmet, and puts it before us as proof. Come on, is your idea the proof, or Allah's verse? So, do you have a proof (?) from Allah? No. Just as you accuse Allah like this, just as you say He has a family and children, just as you associate partners with Allah and call idols gods, it's normal that, with the words of Ahmet and Mehmet, you stand against the one who speaks the truth.

Since you stand against Allah, it's normal that against these people too, the people who (?), you stand. But everyone will do his duty in this field. Every person, every soul will prove what kind of person he is, and finally, He who holds the judgment in His judgment, who is Alaysallahu bi-ahkami'l-hakimin, in the presence of the Judge of judges, at the Supreme Court, Allah will judge between us. Yes.

Allah Almighty is Hu. The meaning of Hu is: self-subsisting. Self-subsisting. He was not born of anyone, was not begotten, did not beget. Self-subsisting. That is, Allah Almighty subsists by His own essence; He has no need of a wife or child, because Allah is free of deficient attributes. The polytheists said Allah has taken a child. Allah has no need of such things. Those who do not know Allah and do not recognize Him, those who deny Allah, constantly make up a lie against Allah; they are constantly in a lie. Their lies never end. The reason: because at that covenant of Alastu bi Rabbikum, when He said "I am your Lord," among the people divided there into three groups — wa ashabu'l-mash'amati ma ashabu'l-mash'ama — those of the left, of whom He says this, because they denied their Lord, because they make up lies against the Truth and belie Allah, because they wait for the Lord of their imagination, their speech, being the product of their world of imagination — their speech is a lie.

Their speech is a lie. Outside the Truth. Words produced by their own world of imagination.

Yes. The polytheists — Allah has no need of such things; those who do not know and recognize Allah, who deny Allah, constantly make up a lie against Allah.

Far be it — Allah, free of wife and child, is the one who created the heavens and the earth and what is between them, and is their absolute owner. Again, according to His verse "the inheritance of the heavens and the earth is Allah's," just as He has no partner or likeness, He has no need of a wife or child either. Here we use an expression like this. "He has no partner and no likeness." This we all use. We use it about Allah Almighty. But people imagine Allah Almighty, just as the polytheists imagined, in their own worlds, with their worlds of imagination, and some, though they are people of faith, that the disbelievers will be gathered blind in the hereafter, that Allah will not be seen; some, that in Paradise, according to this verse, He will be seen — I say, how will He be seen?

I ask Halime. "How?" she says. "We see the moon in the sky, don't we?" she says. "Like that — I suppose we'll see something like it," she says.

Yet when we say "partner and likeness" — of Allah Almighty, who possesses creative power in His knowledge, what? a partner resembling Him, a creator partner, nor the equal of that being. Likeness. Equal, I mean. That is "partner and likeness." He has neither an equal, nor, in the works He does, (?) as Creator, a likeness. So, we too, as being a part from our Lord, are neither Allah's partner nor His equal.

Neither partner nor equal. Because He has no partner or likeness. Creator. One must grasp this matter well. So those who, with half-knowledge, having no knowledge in their own minds, these words we speak imagine through various events, since the verses' counterparts too they don't fully know, as deviant they also label us. "You know — it manifested? Does Allah manifest?" If you say Allah does not manifest, if you attribute deficient attributes to Allah, did you attribute them to Him, or did I?

People so lacking sound reason that they cannot even think about these things, who cannot use their reason — people. I suppose we now understand what "partner and likeness" here means. As being a part from our Lord, as being a part, with His essence-forms, with our (?), essence-form — do we say "the essence of Allah Almighty"? We do. What is essence (zat)? These forms we see. Don't we say "zat-ı muhterem"? Don't we say "Habibi zat-ı muhterem"? We do. How do we make that essence-attribute of Allah manifest from it? Because we are a part of it, we make it manifest. A part of it. In this case, in this case, when we say He has no partner or likeness: in His creatorship and as an equal of His, no created being can be either His partner or His likeness.

Yes, in this case too, He has no need of a wife or child either.

In this case too, for this reason, the deniers who say this have no proof with them that Allah Almighty has a wife and child.

As He says in His earlier verses, they only follow conjectures. Conjectures — as I said a moment ago, within their own worlds of imagination, since they deny the Truth, everything spoken outside the Truth is a lie. All words spoken with words of conjecture, being spoken without relying on any proof, are lies. What is proof? It is Allah's verse. Yes. Our proof is Allah's verse.

Though they have no information about Allah, constantly with conjectures they utter lies and slander against Allah. By saying about Allah what they do not know, their wrongdoing against their own nafs they increase. Yes.
