Al-Ma'idah 114: Jesus, the son of Mary said, “Oh our Dear Lord! Send to us a table from the sky so that it becomes a feast for us, for the past and the future and so that it is a miracle from You. Give provisions to us; You are the One Who Ultimately provides the provisions (all the sustenance and needs).”

Translation

Jesus, the son of Mary said, “Oh our Dear Lord! Send to us a table from the sky so that it becomes a feast for us, for the past and the future and so that it is a miracle from You. Give provisions to us; You are the One Who Ultimately provides the provisions (all the sustenance and needs).”

Tafsir

Jesus accepted the table that the Apostles had asked from Allah and prayed to Allah for it. O our Lord, send down a table for us from the sky, a feast for us for our past and our future, and a sign, a miracle from You. Provide us with sustenance. He has already prayed that You are the best of providers.

The fact that he says in his last supplication here that You are the best of the givers of sustenance means that people cannot fulfill the rights of people in the fullest sense, since the sustenance that Allah (swt) has given to people is distributed to people by the hands of people. Since they do not know who is more in need and who will do good or evil with this sustenance, only Allah knows where and how they will use it, what they will need and receive within their destiny, and since Allah works for the good of people, Jesus prayed to Allah as the best of the givers of sustenance in this respect.

Since the prayers of the prophets are accepted and acceptable in the sight of Allah, Allah has conditionally accepted the prayer of Jesus.

What is said in the video

Yes, we come to verse 114.

Surah Al-Ma'idah, verse 114. Jesus, son of Mary, said: “O our Lord, send down to us a table from the sky, so that for us, for those of our past and our future, it may be a feast, and a sign, that is, a miracle, from You. Provide for us. You are indeed the best of providers,” he says. That is, provide for us. He already provides for the universe. Provide for us this time with Your signs, with Your miracle, he says. With Your signs. The table that the disciples had asked Jesus for, from Allah, Jesus accepted, and he made supplication to Allah Almighty. The Prophet Jesus makes supplication to Allah Almighty.

That is, he prays: O our Lord, send down to us a table from the sky, so that for those of our past and our future it may be a feast. That is, our past and future — as those You love, You will have proven it to us by the coming of this table: that the sins of our past are forgiven, that for our future there is good news for us, if that table comes, if that miracle happens. To this, he says, we will believe in our hearts like this, he says. Yes. “Send down to us a table from the sky, so that for those of our past and our future it may be a feast, and also a sign, that is, a miracle, from You. Provide for us. You are indeed the best of providers,” so prayed Jesus (peace be upon him).

In his last prayer here, his saying “You are indeed the best of providers” is because Allah Almighty has the provision He gives to people distributed to people by people's hands, has it distributed, and so people cannot fully give people their due. You take your due, my due. You distribute it to him as provision. And you cannot know that Allah gave this to you. (?) you know that He gave it. Like what?

Now he says: (?) you are hitting me on the head. And the hammer says: why are you telling me? Look at the one who makes me strike, he says. Yes.

Since (?) is distributed to people, people cannot fully give people their due. Since they cannot know who is more in need and who will do good deeds or evil with this provision, where and how they will use it, where they will need it within their destinies and what they will receive within that destiny — since only Allah knows this, and since Allah does what is good for people, Jesus, in this respect, addressed Allah Almighty as the best of providers in his prayer. Since the prayers of prophets are accepted and welcomed in Allah's sight, Allah Almighty accepted Jesus's prayer on a condition. On a condition.

What is this condition? A word I said a moment ago. What is it? I will send down this sign, this provision, but if you turn away, He says, I will destroy you. Yes.
