Al-An'am 93: Who is a greater oppressor than the one who makes up lies against Allah or the one who has not received any revelations but says; “I have received revelations and I will also send down verses similar to the verses that Allah has sent down”? Who is a greater oppressor than the one who makes up lies against Allah or the one who has not received any revelations but says; “I have received revelations and I will also send down verses similar to the verses that Allah has sent down”? If you were to see the condition of these oppressors on their death gripes, while angels fetching their claws towards them saying “Now save your lives! Today, you will be punished by lowness because of the lies you said against Allah, and because you were arrogant against Allah’s verses.”
Tafsir
People who do not fear Allah and are incapable of comprehending Allah, those who fabricate lies against Allah and accuse Allah and His Messenger, saying that Allah and His Messenger said this when Allah and His Messenger did not say it. Or those who say, 'I will send down such Verses like the Verses of Allah (swt), that is, I will say like these Verses. Or some of those who falsely slander Allah by claiming to be Prophets. These are the people who have not been revealed to them in any way, but they say that they have been revealed to me, and they consider themselves to be Prophets, and there is no people as cruel to their own souls as these people. These are the people who pity themselves. At the moment of their death, the angels will strike their faces and backs and extend their claws to them and say, 'Come, if you are righteous, save your lives.
The angels will say to the people who fabricate lies against Allah and arrogantly belittle the Verses of Allah, saying that they are not the Verses of Allah, that is, they are not the Verses of Allah, but I have received revelation, this is from Allah. Today there is a humiliating torment for you because you despise the Verses of Allah and fabricate lies against Allah. We have explained the humiliating torment a little bit in the previous lessons. What is meant by this torment; People who are in arrogance and pride, people who do not see anything other than their own wealth, people who are enemies of Allah who see themselves above people by boasting of worldly wealth, people who are enemies of Allah, people who are superior to Muslims because of their worship of Allah, people who despise and despise them because of their worship of Allah. In the Hereafter, when these wrongdoers leave behind their wealth in the state of death and bear the burden of sin, when they see those whom they despised and despised in the Hereafter attaining high positions in Paradise, when they realize that they will not be saved from the Fire and torment, you will see them in an overwhelming torment, shrinking in shame next to those who despised them and the people of Paradise.
Musaylemet al-Kezzab was from the tribe of Beni Hanifa in Yemen. He used to claim prophethood and make prophecies. Some people from his tribe followed him. He was slain by Wahshi during the caliphate of Hazrat Abu Bakr.
Aswedi Ansi also claimed to be a Prophet in Yemen. He is also called Zulhimar. He was assassinated by Feyruzi Deylemi two days before the Prophet (pbuh) passed into the Hereafter. When the Prophet (PBUH) heard this news, he said that Feyrouz had achieved victory by killing Aswadi Ansi.
Abdullah bin Satbin Abi Serh became a Muslim and gave a Book to the Holy Prophet. When the Holy Prophet was dictating a verse, Abdullah bin Sadbin Abi Serh said (fetebarekallah'u ahsenulhalikin) and the Holy Prophet (PBUH) told him to write it down as it was already revealed. Abdullah became suspicious and apostatized, saying that if Prophet Muhammad was true, then it was revealed to me in the same way. However, he returned to Islam before the conquest of Mecca.
Nedribni Harsis Sakafi was the aunt's son of the Prophet (SAW). He was a learned and knowledgeable person who traveled extensively and met with Greek and Jewish scholars. He claimed prophethood on the basis of his knowledge, did not acknowledge the Prophet (SAW) and committed many hostile acts. Finally, he was captured by the Muslims in the battle of Badr and was slain by Hazrat Ali. May Allah (swt) give steadfastness to our hearts, and may He guide us on the path of His Glory, adding faith to our faith in the religion of Islam.
What is said in the video
Verse 93: than the one who invents a lie against Allah, or who, while nothing has been revealed to him, says 'it was revealed to me too', and who says 'I too will send down the like of the verses Allah sent down' — who is more unjust, who? Today we are living this. This verse's — we are living the secret of this verse.
Who was the president of America before this one? George Bush. Huh? Bush. Yes. Revelation comes to me, he says. I too receive verses from Allah, he says.
He says that, doesn't he? He said it, I believe. He says it. Yes. And supposedly he receives verses from Allah. Revelation supposedly comes to him. Yet revelation has ended. Like that. With the Seal of the Prophets, Muhammad (peace be upon him), revelation has ended.
What is revelation? Revelation comes to prophets. What comes to prophets if revelation comes? Verses come. Allah Almighty sends verses. revelation has ended. But inspiration does not end.
Inspiration does not end. What is inspiration? Allah Almighty, the meanings that are the counterpart of the verses, inspiring them into the hearts of His righteous servants, explains the meanings of the verses to them in a finer way. Or, if necessary, shows the counterpart of the verses through the clarity of unveiling. Yes. So revelation comes to prophets. And inspiration to Allah's righteous servants: so that those people understand and can explain the counterpart of the verses better, Allah Almighty speaking to those people's hearts and opening the translations of the verses is called inspiration.
Is there a verse? There is. What does it say? Most people do not know inspiration, it says. How well it puts it. This is the verse. Most people do not know inspiration. Now those who confuse verse with inspiration — like the bird flying with one wing, as we said, that is what they resemble. You know there are superstitious ones: this man declared himself a prophet, they say. Because he is superstition, his head can't grasp it.
Revelation is one thing, inspiration is another. Revelation is verse; it comes to the prophet. Since the line of prophets has ended, there is no more revelation. But the explanation of revelation, of the verses of the Quran, is Allah Almighty making it known by inspiration to the hearts of His beloved servants. Yes, this too is called inspiration. He received inspiration, they say, sometimes. Some people, sitting facing the sea where the sun, as it sets, (?) goes down, and watching it — why are you watching this? I am getting inspiration, he says. yes, inspiration — from many things people get inspiration, but the verses — into people's hearts, the explanation of their translation, our Lord giving it to those people and with wisdom making known to them what meaning it has — this too is called inspiration; these people will continue until the Day of Judgment, such people.
Yes. These are the scholars, as heirs of the prophets.
The one who invents a lie against Allah — than the one who invents, or those who, while nothing has been revealed to them, say 'it was revealed to me too' — who declares himself a prophet and says Allah revealed this to me. God forbid. And than the one who says 'I too will send down the like of the verses Allah sent down', who is more unjust? But who says this? One unaware of himself. Unaware of himself. The people of whom He says 'they are like four-footed beasts roaming the earth, and (?) even more astray' say it. Only a person rebellious against Allah, made a companion of Satan, says it, and a person who, against Allah, sees in himself a being with the grandeur of the self — 'have you not seen', then 'the one who deifies his self', according to those verses of our Lord, such people (?) to Allah, people not knowing themselves, overstepping the bounds, in this way say perverse words.
they use them. Why do they use such perverse words? Allah Almighty's word is upon letters. Their combination perhaps brings about a power of creation. But that is a secret. We cannot know it. But here it shows us a way. In the first meaning. In the outward meaning. The second meaning is something else. The fifth meaning is something else. The fifteenth meaning is something else. The seventieth meaning is something else. It opens meaning by meaning. Who are you? You are going to bring the counterpart of Allah's verses. I can bring it too, that's what you say. Yes. Allah Almighty, for example, said ya eyyühellezine amenü.
With letters, with letters. But you too, with the same letters, when you say 'eyyüman ederler', can you hit its counterpart? Ya — what does it mean? Ayn — what does it mean? Sir, min — what does it mean? Nun — what does it mean? Can you know their meanings? Can you know what comes about when these combine? Well, you said it too, of course: O you who believe. But since, of the meanings of those letters lined up with Allah's letters, of their grasp you are devoid, you truly — one unaware of himself — fall into no other state than a being roaming the earth astray. Yes.
It is understood, I suppose. May Allah be pleased.
Those wrongdoers, in the choking waves of death, and the angels their claws to them: come on, save your souls. Because of your saying what is not true against Allah and your being arrogant toward His verses, today you will be punished with the punishment of humiliation — if you could see their state as they say that, He says. With the punishment of humiliation. Yes. Those who oppose Allah Almighty, God forbid, such people,
unaware of themselves, unaware of Allah's verses. In this case, if a person does not know his own self, that person becomes Satan's toy.
A person must know his helplessness. As Allah Almighty said to David: O David, how do you know Me? O Lord, I know Your Essence as Creator and my self in helplessness, he said. Now you have known Me, He said. So we, whom He created in helplessness, left in need of His Essence, fed and given drink by Him, protected by Him, attaining every kind of blessing from Him — how could we be Allah's equal, say a word as the counterpart of His word?
How could we be equal to Him?
And with what audacity, without fearing Him, 'I too can say the same word' could we say? If you know Allah, you cannot say it, because you love Him so much. Again, if you know Allah, you cannot say it, because you fear Him so much. Again, if you know Allah, you cannot say it, because you know your self in helplessness. Only those outside these, who are like four-footed beasts roaming the earth, those unaware of themselves, say these things.
Yes.
People who do not fear Allah and are incapable of grasping Allah, inventing a lie against Allah, though Allah and His Messenger did not say it, saying Allah and His Messenger said so, those who impute guilt to Allah and His Messenger — in today's situation, though Allah and His Messenger did not say it, how nicely they lie. They impute guilt to Allah and His Messenger. Like what? In such-and-such a book, such a hadith is written. This man denies the hadith. (?) imputes guilt to him. Imputes guilt. Imputes slander. People so wretched as to call words that are no counterpart of the verses hadith, without shame before Allah and His Messenger, slander them.
Slander. If we weed these out — these are not the counterpart of the verses. These are a slander. If we say these are superstitions, still those who do not give up their ideas, who do not use their reason, with the passion of the self, with the love of being the head, unable to part from fame and glory around them, so deifying their own self — such people keep sprouting up. Keep sprouting up. If only there were someone to warn me too. I say exactly as Omar (may Allah be pleased with him) said. If, says Omar, you stray from the path — do you see this stick in my hand? he says. I'll bring you back to Allah's way beating you with it, he says.
And, he says, if I stray from the path? A (?) says: O Omar, I too will bring you back to the path beating you, he says. But how would you have the strength against me? he says. With Allah's verses I will beat you, he says. Praise be to Allah, he says, and falls into prostration: there is one who will bring me back to the path too, he says. By Allah, I am on the same path. If someone came out who would beat me with Allah's verses too, by Allah, I would fall into prostration.
But not with talk, mind you. Not by reading superstitions in this or that person's book, mind you. With Allah's verses. Yes. With Allah's verses.
Superstitions keep sprouting. themselves — the (?) around them, those (?), since they also have an interest in them, at a certain point holding onto him, from that person, from that superstition, saying 'he said so', raising him up, exploiting the conscience of others, those who profit through them.
If they saw an Alif, they'd tell you it's a rafter.
People unaware of the Truth. They have set up Islam (?). They supposedly explain Islam. If only you knew and explained it. I would be a private soldier for you. Yes.
So though Allah and His Messenger did not say it, they too 'Allah and His Messenger said so' will say — and this too is a hadith. A time will come, it says, when, though Allah and His Messenger did not say it, Allah and His Messenger said so, they will say, it says.
So some man gets up and says fake sheikh efendi, you see — fake sheikh efendi Metin, Metin, Metin efendi. Allah Almighty in His verse to the Prophet (peace be upon him) says this: My Beloved, they do not belie you, they do not deny you. They deny Allah's verses, He says. They too do not deny me by calling me a fake sheikh.
Against Allah's verses they stand.
I tell them verses. They tell superstitions. They try to confront me with the words of this one and that, with no verse at all. Out of what? Out of the passion of the self. He does not say: this man is telling Allah's verses. Let us listen to this. Let us (?) from what we know. Let us learn what we don't know. If he is saying it wrong, let us teach him what we know. That is the understanding a Muslim must have. But unfortunately he will disparage him. He will show that he is the head. and be proud with the passion of the self.
Yes. Is this being a Muslim? Ah, if only they knew Islam at all. If only they knew it at all.
Or those who say: like Allah Almighty's verses, I too send down such verses. That is, those who say 'I speak like these verses', or some of these, making a claim of prophethood and falsely slandering Allah — don't they appear? In our time they appear. Saying I am a prophet. Yes. These, though nothing at all was revealed to them, saying 'it was revealed to me too', seeing themselves as prophets — in the face of this, these people — as these people, so wrongful and unjust to their own selves, a person cannot be found. To their own self. Yes.
Now we read these like this, we explain, superstitions — those small minds, you know, because it doesn't fit their minds, a moment ago you said, look, this man declares his own prophethood, inspiration supposedly comes to him, he says; he can't tell inspiration from revelation.
Revelation comes to the prophet, we said; we explain it again, because such small-minded ones,
since they cannot tell verse from inspiration, in the middle of the straight road lose their way. Let us repeat it so that no (?) comes to their minds. Verses supposedly come to prophets. And inspiration comes to Allah's beloved servants, His righteous servants. It is the way the verses are opened up. But a verse comes to the prophet himself. Since prophethood has come to an end, verses have ended too. There is no more coming with a verse. The wet and the dry are in the Holy Quran. Whoever says verses come to me is nothing but a deviant. Yes. Let us say these this openly so that those small superstitious, small-minded people, twisting the words, do not in this way smear people.
Because people who say 'I am a Muslim', with their own false beliefs, when they see that they are coming to nothing, launch a smear campaign against the (?) opposite them. Is this a Muslim? First, in this way. Second, for eighty-odd years, since the history of the Republic, by inserting falsehoods into our religion, changing even the translations of the verses, their efforts up to our time — Allah Almighty, by raising one scholar, according to the verse 'Truth has come and falsehood has perished', all their efforts over centuries, dragging them to ruin in an instant — our Lord, our Lord — for these efforts of theirs, in return for so much effort, those whose efforts go to waste immediately flare up, they go into smear campaigns.
Why? Because for years, 80 years, 80-odd years, 100 years they have been striving to insert falsehood. But according to the verse 'Truth has come and falsehood has perished', they are doomed to vanish, it says. Falsehood is doomed to vanish. Why is it doomed? Every person has a mind. And the mind is in a state to distinguish what is right. In this case, since Allah's verses address the mind, every person knows what truth and right are. In this case falsehood flares up. Flares up. With that flaring up, truth and falsehood are very nicely separated. So those who come out against us today and flare up — how nicely truth and falsehood are being separated.
Yes. And their efforts, the efforts of centuries, deflate like a balloon. Isn't that so? Please. Yes.
These, since nothing at all was revealed to them, saying 'it was revealed to me too', seeing themselves as prophets — in the face of this, no person as wrongful and unjust to their own selves as these people can be found. So these people are those who do themselves harm. At the time of death, the angels, striking their faces and backs, stretching their claws out to them, say: come on, if you are truthful, save your souls. You were bringing revelation like Allah, weren't you; if you are in a position to bring that revelation, you are capable of creating an atom. If you had created an atom, nothing would have been given to you by your Lord.
Then you too would create soldiers, angels to protect yourself. You too would protect your life. But since there is no such thing, since from the atom to the globe everything belongs to Allah, since you are a helpless servant He created, come on now, save your life. You were boasting, weren't you, being proud, being arrogant. You were boasting of the faith Allah gave. Now, now you have fallen into helplessness. You have seen the Truth. The doors of repentance have closed too.
O my Allah, send me back once more. Look how I will (?). Even if We sent you back not once but several more times, you would do the same thing again. Because as long as those characters do not change, you are the same person. Yes.
What is not true against Allah — that is, though they are not Allah's verses, saying to this too 'revelation, revelation came to me too, and this is from Allah' — against Allah inventing lies and, out of arrogance, belittling Allah's verses — to such people the angels will say this, and in our time we see this a lot. Those who say Allah and His Messenger said so, though Allah and His Messenger did not say it, that is, those who slander the prophets, slander Allah, who writings that never, never existed take for hadith, and those who teach people superstitions in this way — yes, you — because you belittled Allah's verses and sent down lies against Allah, today there is a humiliating punishment for you, they will say.
A humiliating punishment. What does this humiliating punishment mean? That person, out of his pride and arrogance, no person higher than himself would see. Other people were always like his slaves or under his command. He has wealth, he has money, he has lineage. Today, when none of them is of use to you, seeing that those people are much higher than you, (?) before them is enough for you. That too is a punishment for you. That person you saw as lesser than yourself, when you see him great, when you see him right there — but because out of pride and arrogance to the Truth you could not return, with (?) put on your neck, that head of yours you could not bow — (?) this person, which is a punishment.
Because you belittled Allah's verses and (?) lies against Allah, today there is a humiliating punishment for you, they will say. In past lessons we opened up the humiliating punishment a little. From this punishment (?) — people in arrogance and pride, who see nothing but their own existence, who, praised for worldly goods too, see themselves above people, these people who are enemies of Allah, people — because of the worship Muslims perform toward Allah, looking down on them as small and contemptible, those who lord it over them — these wrongdoers who, with death, leave their wealth behind and take on the burden of sin, in the realm of the hereafter, the people they looked down on as small and contemptible — in the highest Paradise attaining high ranks — when they see this, and that they themselves from the fire and punishment cannot escape — when they understand this, beside those who saw them as small and the people of Paradise, shrinking from shame, in a crushing punishment you will see them.
Yes. (?) humiliating punishment, that is it.
Musaylima the Liar, in Yamama, is from the Banu Hanifa tribe. Making a claim of prophethood, he used to make soothsayings.
Musaylima the Liar. That is, the liar.
It continues. He is from the Banu Hanifa tribe. Making a claim of prophethood, he used to make soothsayings. Some people of his tribe had followed him. In the time of Abu Bakr's caliphate he was killed by Wahshi. Oh, how well he did. Wahshi reached his place, that is.
Bravo (?). He took his revenge.
Al-Aswad al-Ansi also claimed prophethood in Yemen. He is also called Zülhimar. Two days before the Prophet (peace be upon him) passed to the hereafter he was killed by Fayruz al-Daylami.
When the Prophet (peace be upon him) received this news, Fayruz, by killing Aswad, al-Ansi, has attained victory, he said.
Abdullah bin Sad bin Abi Sarh became a Muslim and acted as scribe for the Prophet. While the Prophet was dictating a verse, Abdullah bin Sad bin Abi Sarh said: Fetebarekallahu ahsenül halikin, and the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: it was revealed just so. Write it just so. Because of this Abdullah fell into doubt, and saying: if Muhammad is truthful, then it was revealed to me too like him, he apostatized. But before the conquest of Mecca he returned to Islam. Yes.
So people can sometimes be mistaken.
Nedim İbni Harsis Sekafi too is the Prophet's (peace be upon him) maternal cousin. He travelled a lot, met Byzantine and Jewish scholars. He was a knowledgeable, well-informed person. Trusting in his knowledge, he claimed prophethood. He did not affirm the Prophet (peace be upon him). And he engaged in many hostile acts. Anyway, whatever comes to a person always comes from those close to him. As if to say the enmity was toward him but not toward me. Finally, at the Battle of Badr, he fell captive into the hands of the Muslims and by Ali was killed. May Allah Almighty, giving steadfastness to our hearts, on the religion of Islam, adding faith upon our faith, not part us from His path.
Yes.
